Lets be real here. did you expect to buy a new car and NOT love it? There was never going to be a scenario where you picked the car you hated the most.
and in terms of reliability, 16000 km is the same as never having been driven. You and I should resume this discussion about how you "love" your transit when it hits 400 000 km.

How did you get a resale value from two new models, HiAce and the Peugeot? How did you compare performance without mentioning different powertrain options in the HiAce and the VW? Why did you not mention cargo space at all in the HiAce? This was not a review, it was a Ford advertisement.

Exactly what I thought , and don't understand me wrong .. I drive ford myself and it's very good van but only because vw it's little out of my budget .

How can any of these be worth $40k+? Just a steel box on wheels with a lot of the development costs having been done years ago, also many of the components being used across each manufacturer's range.
Realistically, they should be about $25K if even that .

Bob Marshall. I suspect you’re not in Australia, a country where a top spec BMW 7 series costs 400,000$ vs the typical £150,000 or 180,000$ in the UK or the US.

@@motosnape I think he's right though. If a Sport Automatic with Safety Pack can be $25k DRIVEAWAY. Then surely these relatively basic vans can 30K and under.

Because these are marketed as commercial vehicles. People don't want vans, they need them. Plus anything business related gets charged more, including utilities. Not easy starting out as a small business owner.

3- How high is the highest seating position in all of them?

Ford certainly displayed clever thinking with side mounted tie points offering a flat floor surface for stability. Having load/boxes sitting at an angle with D-hooks piercing through the packaging isn't the best way to transport goods. That might even damage any blown up camping mattress laid down on the floor.

Change oil and fuel filter every 5000km and still strong sometimes driver mix full tank lowgrade diesel with 2ltr gasoline+150ml 2cycl oil. its feel 15-20% power increase at low rpm.
And sparepart are cheap. Just salesmarketing "T" poisioning every people in my country they told if iload/other brand spare part cost 3-5time more expensive. And just "T" brand have super realibility.
      Info hiace 2.5(2kd-ftv 101ps 0-100 arround 18-20second) more super slower than h1(d4cb 170ps 11-12second).

@Yule Calma owned both. t5 is not smashing any hiace I can assure you.
vw is an excellent performer, but when it comes to reliability, HiAce cannot be beat.

yea but which one offers the maximum m^3 ? i know each van comes in different sizes. So, which one has the option with the largest volume for cargo ? also ford is unreliable.

  • @GV-sw5vd

what?? hyundai starex look big, but cargo capacity just only 4.4m3. almost the same as small van like nv200/belingo

if the reviews are coming from an English-speaking country than there is no way any other brand comes on top other than ford no matter if other brands are studded with diamonds.

There is no bias in Australia, you make a good vehicle for us and we'll buy it. Ford probably deserved the best review but I'll stay with Toyota.

Toyota are great cars but generally overhyped, other car models have really improved on their "reliability" which is pretty much subjective.

You can break into this generation of ford transit with a set of pipe pliers in 20 seconds flat. In the U.K. if your a trades man you can expect you van to be attacked. My old Mercedes Vito had the side door bent in half. If you own a transit in the U.K. you will have to get after market locks fitted. Any way I just got a new transporter on lease and am very happy with it. Had the option for the ford but the security is dog shit!

Definitely not the Ford after all the wet cam belts failing, water pumps catching fire and engine seizures though out the range. VW every day.

Hiace or nothing , Toyota or nothing , reliability or brake downs , if you want a shit resale and a disco of sounds buy the ford , basically same price at the end of the day , jump in the 6 speed manual Hiace or just go backwards with your investment

    • @mills3375
      @mills3375 4 роки тому

Samuel Lamont I can’t comment because I only have driven the Transit but the Transit is a great van. The interior is great, drives very nicely and with mine being the 6 speed manual it’s fun as well. So far no reliability issues and owning Fords in the past I haven’t had any. The Hiace does look like to be a great van but I preferred the way the Transit drives
