My husband and I have been talking about this subject lately. So many single, childless relationship gurus nowadays. Whatever happened to getting advice from our elders? Or even just those with more lived experience than us? People get offended when I say there’s nothing a single person can tell me about marriage. But it’s true. If I’d listened to the advice I’ve been given from single (and even divorced) people, there’s no way I’d still be married.

What a load of pride, if your partner falls away from God, becomes a homosexual and decides to divorce you there's nothing you can really do about it. As for your other ignorant and prideful statements they are well addressed in the excellent book by Sam Allbery, "7 Myths about Singleness" in particular chaper 5, which covers the myth "Singleness Hinders Ministry". @@ArkaydeTheSage Well if you haven't seen your error stay consistent and be sure you're not taking Jesus or Paul's marriage advice considering they're single people and single people can't give good marriage advice. As far as the content creators being criticised, Ruslan is taking them out of context. I've seen the full context and he's assuming they have a different perspective than they do. Not that they don't need critisism but this is a straw man he's arguing against in this video. We as Christians, especially men, need to be more courageous in the examples we lead, in speech and life. Voddie echoed the same, a husband is priest, prophet, provider, and protector for his wife and family. No woman would be ashamed or afraid of that, I know my wife isn't.

@@fitbchristopher every story in the Bible shows that women tend to be self destructive if they don’t have men or women keep them in check. Look at feminism. Look at divorce and how to favors women. Look at the beginning of the Bible where eve is not put in check and she just becomes self destructive by disobeying God. Now I won’t leave out Adam, and he fell because he didn’t stick to his purpose of being the leader. Men need to keep themselves in check because when men fail, women fail, but women must be protected from themselves because they have a tendency to self destruct, and we see that with an explosion of OF, sexual immorality(the minority of men sleeping with the majority of women), and feminism where women now are more depressed than ever in the west. I agree with what you are saying. Looking at the title about being in church leads me to another observation. Church in the western world has become a spectator activity. In my opinion if our gatherings became every member participating, our environment would change dramatically and quickly. If each person had a word, a testimony, and encouragement, a question, a perception, a prophesy, etc, rather than a one person show of teaching a bunch of observers, things would get real, very quickly. Leaders would have to learn to answer hard questions and deal with real life issues and not just speak into the congregation from afar.
That being said, it may be possible that "covid" may be the best thing that has happened to the church in this generation. Getting people to stand on their own and grow, rather than sitting like baby birds with their mouths open for the pastor to drop in a bit of food. Just thinking out loud.

it would be more interesting to look into the reason why women are opting out of marriage and childcare. When you hear story like Achraf Hakimi and the reaction of men accress the globe, women are seriously asking what's the point? Women have the most to lose when they decide to start a family: it is taxing on their health (physical and mental), it affects their finances and theu careers and when they find themselves in an unhealthy marriage and decide to leave, they still be denied things that will help them no to make the children live in poverty. By the way, even before I became a Christian, I stopped calling myself a feminist. I am anti-feminism.

      Creative take.
      Now, considering a few facts:
      1) While women are the gatekeepers of sex, men tend the gatekeepers of relationships.
      2) Most breakups are initiated by women.
      3) Most alimony and child support payments go from men to women (> 90%).
How surprising would it truly be that...
      4) Most single men are no longer actively engaging in the dating scene
      5) Marriages are at an all-time low.
      And, lastly...
      6) The birth rate is dropping below the replacement threshold
The issue seems to stem from an obvious current reality, one that can be summed up in the following question:
In western societies, what are the *incentives for men* to get married?

    • @nicholebestman2517
      @nicholebestman2517 Рік тому +1

@@R._L. It's literally the most priceless incentive: a longer, healthier, and happier life.
Unfortunately, the red-pill talking points never tell the truth about this fact. They spend so much time hating on the proverbial woman that will take them for the money they don't yet have, that they don't point out the obvious stats around life expectancy and health outcomes for married men vs. single.
Also the great thing bout facts, is the question 'why.' Do you know why women typically initiate divorce? Because on average women tend to feel stifled by marriage in the 21st century standard where most household's need a dual income AND she's still primarily responsible for child-rearing, cleaning, cooking, and other domestic work.
And do you also know why men aren't "actively engaging in the dating scene" as you put it? Because they don't possess the skills to get dates and as a result aren't seeing much luck when they try (particularly with online dating).
You're not helping young men step up to the plate if you're being intellectually dishonest about the same stats we can all google. Asking why is a good start.

    Fresh & Fit Logic:
1.) Women should marry young and be a virgin (or close to one) so after she marries a high value man, he can cheat on her from time to time, in exchange for security and family.
2.) A man sleeping with other women is not cheating unless he spends a lot of money on her.
3.) If a woman divorces her man, it’s her loss because she loses her dating value that’s unrecoverable even more with children, in spite of gaining money.
4.) A man loses money after divorce which can be recovered in other ways while a woman after a divorce loses dating value which can’t be recovered.
5.) High value man should add more body count to women so he can disqualify her for marriage for having more than a 10 body count.
6.) Men care about a woman’s past yet don’t care about adding more body count to her past.
7.) Men are biological wired to spread their seeds therefore he has the natural urge to cheat yet he’s not impregnating every woman he sleeps with as biologically wired let alone marrying each of them.

While I will always nitpick ruslan for his characterization of redpill manosphere, mainly because I beleive christianity owes them for basically being the ones to call out that this shit has to stop. I violently agree with him otherwise.
There is one thing I think your message is missing though ruslan nad its important because Its the only way I can see for this not to happen again. The church needs to talk about in the most unflattering way who we are as human beings. It needs to talk about our sinfulness not in biblical terms but in real practical terms easily demonstrted by our day to day activities. It is because of our sinfulness that these proscriptions work. It is because of our sinfulness than the sexual liberation failed. But if we only every talk about our failings and human instincts in abstract terms like sinfulness. the message i think misses alot of people who came to the church for guidance but never coudl get past looking for a justification for why its proscriptions are something we should do.
This is less important now when the train wreck is all around us for those who have eyes to see. But when we get to the point where we are successful, Examples will be scarce. So scarce that they will be easily excused as extreme's not worth consideration. Which will lead to the cycle repeating itself.

The other has none. The birth rate of that hypothetical population of four adults is 2.5 (5 total children divided by 2 couples). It's not that anyone lost a child or anything.
Last point- If you want some encouragement about the future of the U.S., take a look at some of the available studies regarding birthrates of Conservative Christians vs. Liberal Progressives in this country. Plainly put, as long as good Christian parents do their job and bring up their children to fear the Lord, there will be a massive swing in the population in a generation. Standby...
