L`Aigle in Normandie, is a beautiful city! When you come to Portugal, let me know! Here is so beautiful you have a lot places to meet. I am in Algarve, if you need something is just tell. Hugs !!!
The region in and around Avignon, Pont du Gard, St Remy, Arles and Avignon itself is beautiful. I rode down from Cherbourg to La Rochelle and then from Bordeaux across to Toulouse. In the Lot region above Toulouse and Albi, all great cycling areas.
"The tick check boogie" Hahahaha that was great. Wow, you really scored a beautiful spot to camp and it looked like you had it to yourselves 👍 Maudi's thought at the end were nice ✌
that campspot though! incredible! and i really appreciate you bringing up the tick check again and again, i will definitely pay more attention to this on my next trip!
Trank you For your Videos! At first I watched your videos to improve me English skills. Additionally they inspired me to go on the same journey by bike and with my camera. This year I travelled for 12 weeks through Germany, France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. Next year I already applied for a sabbatical and travel again for 12-14 weeks through Europe. 😉Hope to see more of your videos 👍
This was a funny one;-) Your videos are always entertaining. You can feel how passionate you are about what you do. Nice to see how respectful you treat each other. I've noticed this already in other videos. Not a big show to the outside - but you can still feel it. You do that very well - we all can learn something from you.
It felt like a huge contrast of energy and mood between the two halves of the video. Once you got into the countryside I felt my blood pressure go down and I felt relaxed. I bet you did too!
Girolles (jee-roll) yum . I am so stocked to see you guys touring in The Vosges Mountains where I grew up. Now living in Vancouver,bc(lots of bikepacking possibility) but I can’t wait to get back there and explore/ re discover home by bike too. Happy trails to you both.
That first part was was really a good look at factory life. The forest trail and camp spot were amazing. Food looked good. Nice to have your own private mechanic on a ride with you.😁😁 Thanks for the video and take care, Al
Hi Al! Always interesting to see different parts of a country! A private mechanic is wonderful, he is a pretty good cook too 😉 Wishing you all the best!! E&M
i just found out, that i ride nearly every day a short part (200m) of the EDT. Maybe someday i should do the Rest of the trail... Thx for sharing your journey in such beautiful clips.
Prachtige tocht, wat een goed idee: in het najaar naar het zuiden. Covid houdt jullie niet meer tegen en dat is maar goed ook. Dank voor de inspiratie!

Hi guys, I always carry with me one of those rubber buckets that you can flatten and carry with you. When the wheel breaks I put it in the bucket with water, I swell it and see where the air bubbles come out, then I mark the holes with a pen and fix them. Hope this is useful, good travel ☺️🧡
Thanks Guys! They sure are. How great would it be if they didn't ( the parasites/bacterias ) exist! I totally relate to the mild trauma, I (Eric) had that too. Kind of freaked me out! Hope you are doing good and with not a tick in sight 😉 All the Best, E&M
Nice episode !!! It' s good to see some fun like the tick tune. Sometimes the.videos get a bit too serious and even melancolic. Have fun and enjoy. Wish you all the best, and stay tick free ;-)
Thank you so much for sharing your adventures, what a job you do out there guys 👍🥰 Have watched all your videos now and I am very impressed. I really love your hearts, an incredible amount of love that fits there ❤ Have you ever wondered if you are twin souls? I have read that there is usually a difference of about 10 years between each other . Really looking forward to following you on your new adventure 🚴♀️🚴♂️ Good luck and enjoy your life 🎶☕🍺 Love and light to you from Sweden 🙏❤🥰
Thank you so much for your kind words Leffe (is that like the tasty Belgium beer?) We never thought about being twin souls :) Who knows... Wishing you all the best, E&M
Yes Lyme's Disease is not good at all. I just got my butterfly bars through the post, yeah! Bar tape next. Maudi can put up a tent too. Is that a little Stonehenge next to the figure on the hill? That looks like a great trail. Thanks for posting.
Loved the video, you both are great people. Too many things to see in this beautiful country though, you should give us a roughly route and then we'd be able to help =) see you
Apropó Maudi techs, years ago I closely knew a photographer with four Leicas in his vest, making stunning aesthetic pics, who had no clue about the thechnical side of the camera, nor even bothered about and is not the only one. So I guess this leaves us with the question how good Maudi is as a. bikepacking rider. I am sure highly experienced.
Loved the mosel river route. never did check for ticks- worst place i found them was in bamboo area in japan big ticks crawling inside of my tarpaulin. wasn't until later that i realise they carry a kind of ensephalitis - so be warned ppl insects can make you sick! my mate got dengue fever from a mosquito while sleeping rough in cambodia. i always think about it in Asia but not so much in Europe..
Yo guys how is life it sure looks great, it always is if the sun shine is saying hello, maudi the thing your looking for is a converter, for your bike valve well it let's you screw it on after you have released the little round bit on your existing valve, then you can blow them up with a conventional car type I find them gooderer for sure , but I don't leave them on I would expect a good bike shop to have them ,thanks for a great video..
Hello I am from Mulhouse In Alsace I know the area. Don’t miss “ferme auberge Uff Rain” a restaurant in the mountains with breathtaking view, eguisheim village one of the prettiest villages in the world, and the “MUSEE de l’automobile - collection schlumpf” in Mulhouse, the world’s best car museum in the world (and I know some of them). Ah!, also, don’t miss any of the 5XX wine producer cellar in Alsace ;) have a good trip to Portugal! On the road: vallée du Doubs, côte de Beaune, beaujolais, abbaye de Cluny, monts du lyonnais, les puys d’Auvergne, le Gard ou la Lozère, Millay, Rodez, Albi, la Dordogne, la Navarre, le Pays Basque….after this will be Spain … an other world…
How come flats always come at the worst time, and why is it always the rear? I don't do presta valves any more, they are too finnicky to pressurize, I bet that's why Maudi had a hard time pumping... Schwalbe tubes with the stainless steel Schraeders are my fav now, they hold air amazingly, they are a bit thicker, less wierd seams, and the valves won't develop pin holes or cracks on their sides . They even smell like REAL rubber. Of course USA shops never carry them, so I have to get them from the UK. Chain Reaction Cycles had the best deal. Totally worth the two bucks more if you haven't tried them yet. Ditto on the "ups and downs". I do need to get another two day tour in before it gets really cold . Another stupendous video , Allez!.
It’s not unusual to see big industrial complexes in France and Germany along major rivers, canals and railroads. It’s because these waterways and rails provide a means of transportation for inputs and finished products. Along the way, the rivers are also very picturesque when they are not occupied by factories.
Hi Guys! Continuing our journey through lovely France. Do you have any tips on what we shouldn’t miss? Have a great day! E&M
My tip would be to visit an Elzas town if you haven't seen one before. For example, Obernai, Eguisheim or Colmar. Groetjes uit Den Haag!

If you havent been before, the Gorge Du Verdon is beautiful and the kyak trip up the gorge is spectacular
@@Jackplumz Quite a detour en route to Spain, though.
"The tick check boogie" Hahahaha that was great. Wow, you really scored a beautiful spot to camp and it looked like you had it to yourselves 👍 Maudi's thought at the end were nice ✌

Ahhh. I love biking. I'm even good with tools and stuff. I hate fixing bike stuff. I take it to the shop whenever I can. I feel your pain!!!
😉 Lucky I like tinkering on bikes. A shop has it's merits too, perhaps a nice cup of coffee while you wait!

Nice work as always! Ticks are always such a bummer, I think I have mild trauma from stepping in a baby tick nest and getting thousands on me at once.
