I've had the Uno Synth Pro for about a year and it's one of my favorite synths. Some thoughts about this:
- The Uno engine sounds absolutely AMAZING, and so do the effects!
- This seems like a great balance between amount of knobs and knob size.
- I REALLY wish it had an internal battery or took AA batteries. Yes it can use USB power but that's not the same, that's why I always reach for the Roland S-1 or SH-4d when I'm on the go.
- I would have preferred a two octave keyboard with small row of sequencer buttons above. You use the keyboard to play the instrument, not the sequencer buttons, it's weird that they are so prominent.
- It's too bad the sequencer buttons don't change presets as this was really nice in the Pro, that was really nice when using the synth in live performances (would love an option for that in the options)
- Love the Bassline mode!
- From what I understand there was not a single firmware update to fix the bugs of the last Uno, I am hoping IK will support their hardware products better in the future.

The sounds you can get from this are wonderful. Would kill for a polyphonic version of this
Sounds great and looks cool. But there are a couple of things that don't do it for me: Lack of keys for playing and a tiny LCD screen. Still, I am glad to see IK Multimedia innovating. I hope they create an Uno Duo groovebox with multiple tracks, drums and a larger display for people over 45 🙂
Nice synth that sounds good and very usable. One thing that would fit my workflow better is having the software app run on IOS (iPad) versus Mac OS/PC. It's a portable device which means I use portable computing with it, as needed. Clearly, a secondary consideration as most of the focus is on the instrument itself. But having an iPad based app would seal-the-deal for me.
Just got mine today!
I recently purchased this product according to the recommendation on Tim Shoebridge's channel. I have to say that I don't regret to have acquired it. It's a very good sounding instrument which has also a very good user interface. The only thing to wish would be a polyphonic version. Maybe six or eight voices would be sufficient. I don't need a keybed version.

Best Synth what a design not the exterieur but inside. Make a MK2 with better componenten and this thing Will get famous!! I love it
sounds wonderful. please add probability & seq time division. if the UNO is connected to your master sequencer (say ableton or an elektron box etc) to do ambient pads the sequencer really needs to be able to go at 1/8th speed of the master clock, and then probability so you can control when the notes play. it's really missing from the UNO for me personally. Great work tho, it sounds lovely ♥

Also, if possible: add a randomization option for either the mod matrix or the all the parameters so that way it’s fun to get happy accidents.

Hi ikmultimedia, great upgraded synth! Now I’m excited and waiting for upgraded uno drum machine!! It would be great to extend memory for keeping all the drum sample banks on board👍🏼

Can you please fix/update the plugin so the mod matrix amount also has a delay amount like in the hardware menu?
The hardware menu lets you add a delay amount then the mod kicks in but this is missing on the plugin controller where it would be much easier to program.
And while I’m at it, adding a step sequencer on the plugins to program the seq would also be nice. 😊
And kudos for being one of the very few companies that has an actual vst controller of an analog synth. This is sooooo important in media music where cues get revisions and fast workflows.
Best review out there and there are a few really good ones out there but this one just shines through all of them and really sells this thing. I would have liked to have heard some softer tones rather than the rough and gritty.
@ikmultimedia - Is it possible to add to the previous/older Uno Synth Pro function of linking filter and resonance? BTW: Pro X is a nice update of the previous version. Congratulations!
I have the USP and am pleased to see a further evolution of this great sounding synth. I do wish I could figure out how to use the CV gate IN, so I can use it more with my modular sequencer. Anyone know how to do this please let me know.

So when you record modulation per step in a sequencer and then you switch to recording in real time on the sequencer, it overwrites previous modulation per step?
I hope you'll still support the older pro model in firmware?!
