I took a look at those open clusters in Auriga (and Gemini) for the first time last night. M35, 36, 37, and 38. I know they had been visible for weeks or more but just assumed they wouldn’t be worth searching for being less well known open clusters. I was pleasantly surprised. All four were great. They’re densely packed almost like globular clusters The stars in those clusters are pretty faint, magnitude 9 to 11 or 12, which gives the clusters kind of a cool ghostly glow appearance
I appreciate that! You can head over to my instagram where I've posted a few pictures that show my current lineup used with the 12 inch Sky-Watcher. I'll have detailed reviews of these eyepieces up on the channel throughout 2025.

Thanks so much for sharing your observing report! They are great sights this time of year! Were you using binoculars or a telescope?
This is fantastic! Loved how you highlighted both Jupiter’s approach and Mars’s visibility. Keep delivering those brilliant contents! 💯

Great info Thank you. 👍
My pleasure!
Already looked at Jupiter with the neighbor kids, saw all 4 moons at 50x and 100x. We've also been checking sunspots.
Great job sharing the night sky with others! It's a gret target right now!
Glad Mars is coming back, can't believe it's been nearly 2 years since I captured the Mars occultation by the Moon
It's great from now through early February.
Merry Christmas to you too from my front porch in the Eastern Caribbean where Jupiter is the most impressive celestial body right now 🌴🎄
You've got me beat on that view! Merry Christmas to you as well!

Hope you can make a video imaging Jupiter and Venus with your 12" telescope + your DLSR....Just curious to see the results.
I hope to do that as well. I've been mainly observing with my 12 inch dobsonian and haven't imaged much with it yet.
Thank you for the informations.🌌❤👍

Sorry to hear that. I've had a longer stretch than normal of clear skies but I'm sure that will soon change.
