This is my second video about the HairMax Laserband 82. I posted my first video 10 months ago, on August 1 2018. As I explain in this video, however, I took about four months off, as I wanted to test hair growth supplements during that time, so I have used the device for a total of about six months. The Hairmax Laserband 82 is FDA approved and has been shown in studies to significantly increase hair growth.

Yes, I really liked it but I actually switched to using the I restore which is a full hair helmet. The hair Max does work and it works for me but I tend to hyper pigment under red light therapy. With the hair helmet Since there’s a front part of it on ones for head I actually take a piece of blue construction tape and put it on my forehead to keep the red light from pigmenting my forehead. Darn! I guess I’m kind of a delicate flower! LOL! To Hair Max is great though and it does work.

Thank you Beth! I know it’s extremely difficult to shoot a picture at the exact same angle of yourself, I would definitely have gotten some blurry photos as well. However, I can see a significant difference in the temple area. It’s growing in and I bet that if you continue using it, you’ll see bigger results.

So far I am very impressed with my hair growth and plan to keep using the Hairmax. Hi Beth. Thanks for the progress video you've made. The difference it made is quite visible. Hope you maintain these gains. I just wanted to say something about the comparison to irestore vs hairmax here, since you switched. Irestore may work for you but in reality it's a much weaker device than the hairmax, both in laser power and number of laser diodes. Some other comments saying that LLLT is bogus haven't read the numerous clinical trials with proven results that at least hairmax products have gone through. It does help but it depends on your situation. You can't expect to grow back your hair with LLLT if you are already bald!

I noticed that the two after photos were blurry, and not clear like the before pictures, to the point that they almost look photo-shopped (not saying they are_. But with them looking the way they do it's very difficult to tell if there is a difference. at all.
I was going to purchase this about a couple of months ago or so, but I can't really tell if it did what it says it will do. The most important thing is that you are happy with the results.

I just have a really good eye and I see the before/after pictures on the TSC, QVC etc., and I notice they do trickery, by zooming the picture much closer, to play with the human eye, making it look like there is a huge difference. Along with the hosts using promising or convincing words. Trying to make that sale! Haha. And their pics are always not clear. That's why I come onto YT for reviews as I feel like the creators would be more inclind to be honest with us.

Hi Robin. Thank you so much! Unfortunately my stylist is shy and doesn’t want to be in a video. Basically it is just blunt in the back with graduated layers from the chin down. I dry it e a round brush then set it dry with 3” brush rollers spraying each strand of hair first w Kenra 25 hairspray. Pretty simple. 💝💝

Hi Beth. I have used the smaller brush style Hair Max in the past. I believe it was effective. However, each treatment took quite a long time, since I have to run the brush through my hair in 1/2" increments. Each session takes me 13 minutes. Also I only can do it 2x a week since I can only brush my hair when it's wet. The band style has 2 HUGE advantages, time and frequency. One equally HUGE disadvantage, cost. What I would like to know from you is, are you seeing baby hair growth along the hair line? Regardless of what pictures show, if you have a halo of new growth, then the devise is working. When I use rogaine regularly, I definitely see fly-aways as they grow in.
Hi Joan, I have to be honest with you that I am not really seeing those baby hairs grow in. If I were you I would wait for my next video as I restarted the hair supplements and will now use both of those things and then do a video several months down the road. Hi there. I am no longer using the hairband but not for the reason you would think. I’m actually now using the eye restore which is a complete hair helmet. The reason is that I seem to be sensitive to the red light and I need the front of a helmet in order to put tape on my forehead so the light doesn’t get on my forehead. I noticed that with that unit it was give me a brown spots along my hairline. I tend to hyper pigment in the presence of red light therapy. Darn! Most people don’t have that problem though.
Sending healing prayers Beth! You take biotin yes? It works for me, I'd been shedding handfuls of hair and thank heavens it stopped this month! I'm convinced without biotin Id be half bald. I also have to eat meat, or be anemic and bruised and now have diabetes so it's not even a moral choice; it's a survival choice! I was dismayed when you said you'd gone back to vegan. Take care
Thanks Jlina for the good health wishes! When I was taking Biotin it REALLY helped improved my hair. I stopped taking it three months ago so I could ONLY test the Hairmax. Now I'm going to add it back in + the Hairmax and will do a results video down the road. I am so with you on eating meat. For a couple of different reasons I have switched back to Paleo. Hi Beth - you always look great! As you were describing your results of thicker hair, I wondered if the BHRT you are on could be contributing to your positive results? When our hormones are depleted such as through menopause (especially estrogen), a sure sign can be thinning hair. What are your thoughts? Also, have you gone back to your paleo diet and if so, how are you feeling? Thanks
Hi Judy, Yes, after about four months on the vegan diet I couldn't take it anymore. My joints started hurting again and I was STARVING and starting to gain weight. Also, my husband's gums seemed to be getting softer...weird I know. I have been back on the Paleo for about a month and I feel SO much better! I just think the vegan was too high carb for me..really turned on my food cravings. You may be right about the HRT. I started using that again around the first of this year. That could have something to do with the hair growth. From here on out I plan to keep using the HairMax, the supplements and also the HRT. I want to use everything I can to keep my hair. And what percentage of hair regrowth you think you’ve seen for your hairline now? Because I am thinking of buying the Hairmax laserband 82 for my mother’s hairline. You know, I wish I could give you a better answer but it is been a while since I use the Hairmax. I really felt like it did work. I have been using the Irestore for the past year though and feel like it works too. I really believe this technologies are so similar that you were probably OK with either one. Just remember to find out about the money back guarantee on each one and make sure to return it if it is not working.

Hi Elizabeth. Sorry about the picture quality. I did the best I can but sometimes it’s difficult to get the same lighting etc. I am now trying the Irestore hair helmet. Hi Annette, Thanks so much! Yes, I have tried BBL which is an intense pulsed light treatment and I really like it. I am starting a series of those treatments in about two weeks and will be showing the results on a video. BBL is proven to show MAJORLY good results in people who have it regularly over 10 years. It gets rid of discoloration and also increases collagen and decreases wrinkles. I really believe in it. 💝💝💝

You might want to look into fda medications such as finasteride or minoxidil. Not sure if they made em for women but from my knowledge, when women hit a certain age, they too may start suffering from pattern baldness because their estrogen levels are no longer prominent. That causes your testosterone to stick out and therefore lose hair.

I have been using rice water and it stopped my hair from breaking. It is finally growing thick. I have hypothyroid and it has affected my hair. I only use it twice a week and I have seen results. Even my sister commented on the thickness. You could do a video.The women of Yao do not even have grays.

Hi Amy. I personally like the Irestore better but I did have good results with the other one too. I like the Ira store because it uses the red lights all over your head and my hair is thinning pretty much all over so for me that is a better choice. It’s really up to the individual user though.
Hi Beth!! I am curious hour your hair looks 6 months after this video? Can you give an update? I just purchased the Hairmax Laserband and one thing I noticed is you are supposed to take the large clear sticker off the top of the machine before using. :\ Yours is still on. Hi Deborah, I really think it is making a difference and I will let you know in the future. I am also adding back in my hair supplements so I will do both at the same time. My hair used to be so thin that I didn't feel comfortable without the extension but now I feel OK about not using it. I am in a much better place now in terms of my hair. @@FiftyPlusBeauty Hello dear. To switch from a meat and diary lifestyle to a vegan one from one day to another, for most people, this is impossible, especially from 50 plus. It has to be step by step. Meat should be stopped very slowly. For example: If you eat it every day, for one month, you start eating it 6 days a week, the next month 5 days a week the next month 4 days a week and so on until you get to one day a week. Then, you keep it like this for the rest of the year. The next year, you eat every two weeks meat for 6 months and the next half of the year, you eat it only once a month. Thus, the body gets used to it slowly slowly. And meat will be substituted by veggies, smoothies, fruits and some nicely prepared sweets, avocados, mangos, jackfruit and so on.
Meat, in general, is not healthy, even on a paleo diet.
Nicki, I do know what you are saying and have read the books about it. Unfortunately, when I started the plant based my RA really flared and my husband's gums got weaker. We were plant based for about five months. It is odd though as a few years back i was vegetarian for 4-5 years. I did have the joint pain then though. Just yesterday I did find some UA-cam videos on a channel called Vegan Deterioration though which were kind of interesting. The channel is by a woman who started to get very unhealthy looking as a vegan and she noticed a pattern among many of the top proponents of veganism. Her channel kind of discusses the downside of veganism. I wish I had had a better experience as a vegan. Beth
@@FiftyPlusBeauty When a body deteriorates with a vegan diet, this often means, that the body detoxifies too quickly and not in a appropriate manner. The toxins that are released, are not bound and discharchged. They get back into the bloodstream and harm many organs. This is the bad side effect when toxins don't get out of the body. Because a vegan diet is strongly detoxifying. You would have to learn about bounding and and discharging the toxins.

Hi Bella. Yes, I really do like the hair Max laser band. It gave me pigmentation on my forehead though so I have switched since that time to a full helmet typed a device called Irestore.
Since the hair helmet has a front on it I can put blue construction tape underneath the front of it and not get pigmentation on my forehead. The red light therapy does grow here but on some people it causes pigmentation problems. I do recommend that device though as it truly did grow my hair.

I've wanted to try some type of laser cap or comb but it always states that it will cause more hair loss when you first start using it and that scares me away. Did you notice more hair loss in the beginning before it got better? Also is it just for the front and sides being it just covers a small area?

I bought a NIB Lasermax 41 on eBay back in April. Have used it faithfully 3-4 times a week. My hair stylist began taking photos & her pics & my mirror show definite hair growth in areas that had thinned badly. I’m thrilled! Had considered PRP injections because I was desperate. I’m post menopausal so wasn’t expecting a miracle. I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

Hi Veronique, Actually I ended up going back to the Paleo Autoimmune diet after about five months. After the first few days on the plant based diet my joint pain increased very significantly, probably because I was eating so many carbs. Also, my hunger became voracious and I started to gain weight. In addition, my husband said his gums started to recede. Unfortunately, the plant based didn't work for us after all. Beth

I can actually see a significant difference, it’s most visible in the temple area but also that you can’t see the scalp so much on the right. One have to take into consideration that hairs don’t grow out in some days, it takes a long time, and I think Beth will see even more results as time go by.

I also think you were going to start using hormone therapy again, could that have helped the hair also? Estrogen does help hair and loosing it can affect hair.
Hi Shannon, No, when I stopped using it for the four months I didn't really notice any shedding, but at that point I didn't really notice my hair was thicker either and since I thought I had been using it wrong, I stopped it altogether and did the 3 month supplement test which really seemed to work. Then I stopped the supplements and went back to the Hairmax for three months. Going forward I plan to use both the supplements AND the Hairmax and also the HRT. I will let you know how it goes. My good results so far could be the result of all the things I have been doing. This "testing" thing on YT is difficult for me as if I didn't have my channel I would just find what works and stick with it. Since I have the channel I feel like I have to test things. It's exhausting sometimes! LOL!! Beth

The new hair growth on the pics came out of your scalp at least 4 months ago. Hair grows at a rate of about 1/2 inch per month. For example, when men get hair transplants, they have to wait 1-2 months to see little sprouts of hair appear. So, maybe it was the supplements. Have you tried Rogaine for women?

I like the idea that the helmet would fit clear over my head, and I wouldn’t have to move it or use it every day. As I have mentioned in my last few videos I used to wear blue contacts as I was in the first picture. I was having trouble with them ripping apart in my eyes, though, and I was getting eye infections, so I have stopped wearing the blue contacts. In the first photo I had also just applied retin-a so my skin is ruddier. Just look at my video last week which is the brow growth video. In the top pic in the thumbnail I have my blue contacts in and in the bottom picture on that thumbnail I have my natural brown eyes. Beth

I know!! I can look pretty bad at times. I am used to it and it wasn’t until someone else mentioned it that I noticed how bad I can look! If you look closely in the photo on the left you can see that I had the blue contacts in. You can tell as my brown eyes show through the middle. 💝💝💝
