I've followed your videos for few months or maybe a year... And they are becoming increasingly interesting almost every time. Like these artistic camera angles in this one but still with good taste and always superior quality in audio & video. Thanks for making these reviews and giving some personal depth in them!
Watching your video was worth each second ;-). Good to see guys like you! Keep up and I stay tuned. I‘m looking forward to mine Ninebot Max even more now ;-). Cheers from Switzerland
Was not expecting to laugh so much during a review! And a theme song too?? Born to be mild... That's hilarious! Great idea to take us on a trip while talking about the scooter. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Amen! I almost never had range anxiety on my es4, my anxiety was from crazy taxi drivers and pedestrians treating the bike lane like an extended sidewalk
Great video. I was very entertained watching this. Lots of funny stuff in your content. You are very brave riding on a busy rush hour traffic in LA. There's so many crazy drivers there and glad you made it back in one piece. I just bought the same scooter and hopefully it's a keeper!
Yeh, riding in busy traffic, is no joke. Cars, vans, lorry’s always pass me aggressively and way too close. I love riding my e scooters but i almost die to a idiot driver, a few times, each ride. Ive done about 800 miles and hope to do many more, without dying lol. How are you finding your new e scooter? I hope your having a lot of fun.
We were just here a month ago and thought of you as we also visited the Griffith Observatory after seeing it on one of your videos a while ago. Cheers my friend
The pro side of the German/EU version (G30D) is that is has a second lever for motor braking, so you can disable the automatic motor brake for better freewheeling, and still have recuperative braking, wich I mostly use, wich also can improve range and saves the drum brake a bit :) Unfortunatly due to regulations it only can drive 20 km/h.
I just purchased this lovely scooter and it's awesome. Its awesome to use when I need to go to work 6 miles coming and going [ that include some hills ] or go somewhere and travel light. I am in the process of getting a moped for some deliveries. It's pretty nice.
If you can pick one up cheap do so! They’re for just going somewhere locally for shopping etc,up to an hour you will feel it your arms, speed at 19mph is fine when you live in a big city with 20-30mph speed limit,15m in sport mode is what get at 220lbs
Loved the psychedelic shots......thought I was going to flash back there a couple times. Far out, guy. (pushing 70). Really enjoyed accompanying you on your little trip.
Awesome review, you got a new subscriber, I order mine via indigo as well and I can't wait to test it out and take it for a spin, so thank you for taking the time to do this kick ass review!!
I was thinking that... the strap need to be tight enough to hold the helmet on the head even while you are falling. I am a volunteer in my local skatepark and i constantly have to remind the kids to tighten their helmets.
70% true! ... 30% of crashes, the helmet "might" (lol!) stay on for the first impact, which would be expected to be the worst impact! .... Great Scooter though!
iPhonedo, That was a very entertaining review/experience on the Segway Ninebot. The edit and your rendition of the Born to be Mild was epic. If I lived in a populated area l would consider the 9Bot. Maybe fun to take on a car road trip so that when you get to where you are going, then you can explore the area with the 9Bot. You would get an appreciation of exploring than driving around in a car.
loved you're vid mine arrives friday morning in Canada and videos like this have me stoked. Watched all way thru great vid very informative. Liked and Subscribed.
When you got to Hollywood Blvd, you were easily the least weird thing around, even with helmet, scooter, and cameras. Another great review. Stay mild and remain room temperature, and Scooter On Dude.
After a couple of weeks of watching reviews for all kinds of scooter (I'm 5'10" 175 lbs and I plan to commute 11 miles each way from Queens to Manhattan) I choose the Segway MAX. The Horizon was a close 2nd. Deal breaker for me is that the MAX looks sturdier/built like a tank and low maintenance.
I am in yours shoes now, choosing the max over other similiar scooter for its reputation and reliability. How do you like your ninebot max now after all this time? Is it too slow? Any regrets?
@@oppgemini2130 I now have 3,500 miles on it. No flats. Breaks are good, speed and power is like new. The only thing is that my rear fender cracked, I just ordered a new one from Amazon for $28. I recommend it if all you need is 18 mph and 20 mile range on high.
@@SitPls hi. Yes. Tires lasted me around 3,000 miles. Found a shop that changed them for Me $200 (solid tires and labor) at 4,000 miles had the same shop replace the folding mechanism for $150. Motor and breaks are still original. Still riding at 8,500 miles
Annnnnd, the best scooter review online. You always bring that "real" factor to your reviews. Good job. No, absolutely great job. psst, maybe a tad tighter on the helmet strap, has to stop helmet coming off if you're upside down ;)
Or just get a One Wheel and you will have more fun, at leadr utill it randomly nosedives you into traffic and get a faster ride all the way to the hospital.
Abi seviliyorsun.
As a new scooter rider i want to give everyone some tips. 1) don’t ride on sidewalks - sidewalks have far to many imperfections. I crashed on a sidewalk. I have never crashed on the street. The reason is the wheels of the scooter are too small and the steering too unstable for unpredictable surfaces, stay to the bike lanes. 2) 15mph is fast on a scooter, unless you’re a skater or other long time biker, stay below 15mph, the stability of scooter steering is just to unreliable above 15mph for new riders. 3) get a helmet with MIPS technology. Bern makes one for $60, so do other brands. They don’t cost much more than a normal helmet and significantly reduce brain trauma. Yes, brain trauma is a thing.
It's a double edge sword when you're riding a scooter in the congested streets of LA. I think it's OK to ride on sidewalks as long there's not a lot of pedestrians on it but the drivers in LA are horrible. Always wear a helmet too.
Watching this made me miss my Xiaomi M365 even more. It was my daily driver to go to work, gym and home in Izmir, however I had to sell it before moving to Sydney. I am hoping that NSW will legalise escooters so that I could order this or the Boosted Rev. I had fun using Lime and Nueron in Brisbane but nothing beats having your own escooter. Thanks for the fun and informative video!
Very Nice! Adventurous! Absolute pleasure watching you stroll through the beautiful metro LA! Perhaps you should do weekly outings and post for you're followers!
-I have a bird es4 bought it on offer up for $340- "used". I ride on it going back and forth for 2 hr rides. Worth the money. Using it now for almost a year. Now I am planning to buy ninebot max. It's actually saving my money from riding lyft. Hopefully it'll last. Thank you for uploading the video! Godspeed! 👍👍👍
Great video. As always, I love the side comments you give when reviewing and testing. In this case about being cool lol. Those are what keep be subscribed as they add a little to tech videos that more and more today are just people acting out spec sheets. "Let's see that California roll." LOL

Dude, I thought your review was both hilarious and informative. You provided info on the scooter as well as some comedy to it. Dig the sense of humor, you don’t get that with LA peeps much. The part @ 3:31 where u spoke highly of yourself was totally hilarious, I was cracking up...loved it, and as well as the “Born to be Mild” part. Great review over all. The only thing u didn’t cover was the price. I’m sure folks would want to know that. I also dug the fact that u attended MI. I’m a musician myself. I play guitar...totally cool bro. Anyway u seem like a cool cat to hang with. I just bought myself a scooter. I ride alone cuz no one in my neighborhood has scooters...blows. Maybe we can ride some time. Ok brotha laters.
i bought the regular Ninebot from costco a couple months ago and just decided to purchase the "Turbolightning" scooter today because the ninebot is way to slow. he is right that having less power is actually more dangerous because you have no control over other vehicles.
Hi buddy!! Lovely video!! I think Segway guys watched the video, and I can see they heard your missing things list. I’ve bought the Segway Max G2 a couple of weeks ago, and I can tell you: they did it. Stronger motor, double suspension, turn signals, wider handle bar (and deck) much more battery and yes, the security code you asked for. I think you could make the same trip without changing the battery. Did you upgrade bro? Regards from Copenhagen!!
Thanks for the video review! Greatly appreciate it! I have to point out, though this video is a couple years old, you should definitely strap on that helmet. Otherwise it will be completely useless in the event of impact.
Brother you are something else. so much effort and talent . Wow
Born to be mild! Love it !
You make the best reviews dude!
Youre so underrated . The likes and the views dont speak up to the quality work you put in. Always a great and amazing review done by you.

We need to change this. The electric revolution is upon us.
16:40. "Win the lottery of a scooter!" That was so funny 😂
he really took advantage of the 360 camera variations it made the video just that much more entertaining absolutely amazing job on that

There's totally no use in wearing a helmet if you don't fasten it under the chin....
Well you can mount GoPro on it...
I was thinking that... the strap need to be tight enough to hold the helmet on the head even while you are falling. I am a volunteer in my local skatepark and i constantly have to remind the kids to tighten their helmets.
Keeps you from getting a ticket from the local Gestapo. Also you don’t have to shave a spot on yer head to stick the camera to.

Nose dives and cutoffs are exactly what scares me away from using EUCs for commuting. I may still get a smaller wheel to have fun on though.
