Can’t believe Tommy James is not in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame. I didn’t know that. Crimson and Clover is probably one of the greatest rock songs ever.
Alright!!! Nice to see Tommy James & Joan Jett doing his hit together--- and he could still sing! FFFFFFAAAAA Feb-69 hit for Tommy James! Way to go.... No matter how old U are, if U can still play like that----go for it..... Joan now is 62----she looks great and still sings outstanding. 62 is really the new 45..... Love both of you. Great seeing you together..... Keep ROCKING!!
Whole lot of talent up on that stage, Tommy and Joan playing and singing together- that awesome song, doesn’t get better than that. Joan still looking so young- I swear that girl must have vampire blood in her. Tommy still hanging in there like a champ also.
I loved both versions of Crimson and Clover, Tommy James and The Shondells original and Jett's cover 13 years later. This is so cool to see them play it together!
@Gen. Sponge Bob no problem with being in the Navy. Officially the Marine Corps is in "The Department of the Navy" look at "The Official Seal of the Marine Corps"
As a fine wine gets better, Tommy has taken his vocals and sound into a new dimension of greater sounds from what I thought was previously (originally) could not be topped . I believe the Lord has helped him graciously sing better . I will be listening often times . Almost went to concert when in Texas however friends truck had problems .
When somebody can sing that good LIVE.....hey there's no more to say......PUT THAT TALENTED MAN IN THE R & R HALL OF FAME..!!!! What is the matter with those people who make the decisions..??? DUH..!!! I LOVE YA TOMMY!!!
yep a boyfriend came to my house with 6 roses and a bag of weed and said I brought you crimson and some clover lol I will never forget that date ..we been married 41 years now
Tommy & the Schondells only band in history that had 3 songs covered by other artist that went #1 Crimson & clover Joan Jett Billy Idol Mony Mony & I think we're alone now Tiffany. (Not even the Beatles did that! Rock Hof!!). Throw in Dragging the line & Hanky panky case closed!!
I lived with a beautiful girl years ago that I loved to dance with her 💕to this awesome song in a small pub in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I will never forget her and I always have a place in my heart ❤ for her. 🎶
Gregory Prusak Love to see the next class induct Tommy, Johnny Rivers, The Doobie Brothers and in the sideman category Bobby Keys. But the first 3 are way way overdue. Oh and also Bryan Hyland.
I always like Joan and her cover of Crimson and Clover. They played it together well although Tommy is the original. Go back and listen to Tommy James old songs, he was a visionary in Rock and Roll.
Crimson and Clover was always one of my favorite songs, and Tommy James had so many great hits. I agree he belongs in the Hall. I also agree it is an odd place with lots of mismatches - artists not admitted who should be, artists in who had like 1 hit and shouldn’t be…. Tommy will live on thru all the covers of his great songs.
Love T.J. and the Shondells. Saw them, late 60’s at “The Surf” Nantasket Beach, Hull, MA. I was 16 or 17. Those were the days and that was “the place” to go!
I was in grade school listening to Tommy James and the Shondells I love this song Crimson and Clover talk about size of a 45 I love this song then and I love this one now so obvious that Joan Jett did a great rendition of a great song Tommy and Joan are great together here love it.♥️
Awesome version! While in college I took a girl, an exchange student, to see him live and arranged to have her meet him backstage for a chat, photo and autograph. I thought I scored big. The next time I saw her she introduced me to her boyfriend. But I still have the live Tommy James experience so, I'd say I still won.
You had a good memory (of the concert & backstage experience) &so did she -- I think winners all around. If she was just looking for the free date(meal & concert) thing, you're best off without her. . .
Every Juke Box in the cafe's and pool halls in the '70s had Tommy James & The Shondells 45's in them all the top songs Awsum memories was much simpler times Co's you were a kid lol! then but just as challenging
«Crimson and Clover» (1968) of The Shondells. One of the best songs ever! That's how it was for me since I heard it, for the first time, in my university days in the 80's, when it was already a memory song
I had an opportunity to go to his concert a short few years ago a great good time... you could tell he was tired from a long several months on the road, and he took time to talk and meet with his fans after the show Signed CDs, t-shirts, and books. A great guy and Entertainer.
Tommy James still has his young voice! That's amazing...They usually don't.
That voice! Not many still have it at his age. Amazing!
Tommy James and the Shondells ruled the charts the second half of the 60s. Great talent and voice, Tommy James.
My master confirms this. Twenty four singles starting from Hanky panky. Mega 1968/1969 - there was competion from CCR and three Dog Night
The heck with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame it's in the rock and roll hearts of many Americans
What a perfect mix Tommy James with Joan Jett ! Fantastic ! You Rock 😀🤘 🎸🎸
TIME TO INDUCT TOMMY JAMES!
Mexicana living in Canada I agree
I've been listening to tommy james when he first came out he fabulous you need to know that or you don't know crap
Tommy James sounds as good as he did in 1969. Rock on man.
Y'all better listen to this Old Hippie now I keep telling you all this is why Tommy James needs to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
He SHOULD be in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame
You tell them Brother.
Who would seriously want to be? it's a joke!
You could have a Hall of Fame if deserving people and bands that have been overlooked by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Nunna ur Biznez He might not of been but But me and my friend sure was and Crimson and Clover the album was one of the best albums made
BEFORE I DIE HE BETTER BE IN HALL OF FAME AS HIS 2 BIGGEST HITS WILL BE PLAYING TILL THE WORLD ENDS !!!
Can’t believe Tommy James is not in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame. I didn’t know that. Crimson and Clover is probably one of the greatest rock songs ever.
No doubt i wasn't even born in that era but once i heard this song something about it is great
The J Geils Band isn't in either...…..
Tommy James can still rock with the best of 'em. Here's proof.
@@k247a Neither Grand Funk or Ted Nugent among many others. But hey it not a ROCK hall of fame if rappers and POP stars are in it, is it?
@@evetsegap You got that right!
Alright!!! Nice to see Tommy James & Joan Jett doing his hit together--- and he could still sing! FFFFFFAAAAA Feb-69 hit for Tommy James! Way to go.... Tommy James has 14 top 10 hits.
Tommy and Joan, first time seeing this. I think its AWESOME. And Tommy should be in the hall of fame. Absolutely no question about it.
Man, the guy can still bring it, great voice - and guitar
Absolutely true.
Man, just wow. If anything, his voice sounds stronger.
Amazing.
Back too the 60s when music was music, magic
Gotta love Tommy James! This is a perfect example of just how good he is!!
Thank you Joan Jett!!!
tommy, I've been listening to you since I was 11years old. I'm 57 now. still love you man.
Whole lot of talent up on that stage, Tommy and Joan playing and singing together- that awesome song, doesn’t get better than that. Joan still looking so young- I swear that girl must have vampire blood in her. Tommy still hanging in there like a champ also.
Not vampire blood but electricity and rock and rol
I loved both versions of Crimson and Clover, Tommy James and The Shondells original and Jett's cover 13 years later. This is so cool to see them play it together!
THIS SONG HAS NEVER SOUNDED SOOOOOO FUCKIN GOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!
Tommy is singing his heart out! What a voice! Such a great gift.
Tommy James can still bring it.
One of the great pop bands of the 60’s, and Tommy’s voice is holding up well.
To see smiling Joan, for me it's all, and singing beside legendary Rock & Roll monsters. What else??
First single I ever bought, 1969 I think, I was 15 :) Still have it .
Damn, his voice is still amazing.
AGREE
He probably doesn't smoke
Lmao 🤣 I'm sorry he looks and sounds like garbage
100%
Yep. Here again at 1am getting goose bumps.Just fantastic.
Was one of my most favorite songs as a teenager. He’s still got it! ❤
1968, I was finally a teenager. Loved this song, memories of Junior High School and the cute young ladies.
@Gen. Sponge Bob I agree too. Were you in the Marine Corps? I served 5 Oct 73 to 4 Oct 77. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sgt...OUT
@Gen. Sponge Bob no problem with being in the Navy. Officially the Marine Corps is in "The Department of the Navy" look at "The Official Seal of the Marine Corps"
Joan was one gorgeous woman in the early days, now she's even more ..!!
And she covered this great.
In the 80s almost every young man including myself, was "in love" with Joanne Jett. Only saw her once, at The Palace in So Cali, she was awesome.
@@JedEkert one tough as hell gal, loved her in the 80’s too!
I wore out the 45 with this song. Crystal Blue Persuasion also. Mony Mony was the song we couldn't waited to get played at the roller skating rink.

Not just fine wine, sweat cherry wine.

Tommy you belong in the hall of fame!
Two generations and two legends on stage. They are the Rock Hall of fame's pride.
Tommy James story needs to be given the Broadway treatment for crying out loud.... and R&R Hall of Fame. He truly has paid enough dues.
He's too good for it now with all the trash they've inducted lately!
when joan jett smiles,
she's just the cutest little thing.
Joan is hot.. in 2020. .
Wish she could sing.
Loved her on threes company
She was cuter before her plastic surgery

That was a real treat. Loved that song by both artists. Seeing them together is very special.
Joan's got such an infectious smile. Great song with two amazing artists!
My youth! God bless you all!
Love Tommy! Thank you for making my teen years amazing! My girlfriends still give me grief for playing your music “Over and Over”
yep a boyfriend came to my house with 6 roses and a bag of weed and said I brought you crimson and some clover lol I will never forget that date ..we been married 41 years now
This is legends..way back when and when music was popular ..and when music meant everything..great band and musicians .
Yep. The power of Guitars and Drums. Not this corporation processed stuff out today.

Tommy is another one who is overlooked for induction for the RRHOF.
you got that right...he'll get there! Have faith!

Johnny Rivers DEFINITELY belongs in there.
He has a golden voice.
Brian Herrington could inhjkk
tommy singes circles around her ....what a humble and gracious guy god bless tommy
I don't think so. I met Tommy James and he wouldn't think so either. Plus nobody sounds like they were in their 20s when they're 60 and 70 years old.
Oh the memories and he sounds better than ever thank you thank you for staying with us and congratulations you deserve it
😊🙃I'm very pleased to know I'm not the only one that loves the song but when last did you play it.
Omg🥰 you look so pretty and lovely and I'm interested in getting to know more about you, where in this beautiful world 🌍 are you from.
