Nice job Jon I use bottled water myself with some glug mixed in . Keep these type of vids coming I'm always interested in what other anglers do.

Clive i use hemp as the scent of it is not to intense its just nice and subtle and will not spook the fish if there a little spooky around bait.. as said we all have our little edges and its good to learn from everybody..

Jon your reason above for using hemp juice is exactly the reason that washed out boilies work after 24 or more hours in the water the flavour is 50% less than it was and smells and tastes more natural to the carp, it has nothing to do with colour, when a carp has its head down feeding it cannot see in front of its mouth only smell and taste plus they see colours in ultra violet so they look different to what we see. When it comes to making boilies and adding flavour" less is more".

A tip would be to use shelf life baits as they keep their skin much better during the soak, you can leave the soaking in food liquid for a week and while the insides will have turned to paste the skin will be tough enough to survive a ride in the catapult.

Great tip Jon,I wonder why Boilie manufacturers don’t make washed out looking bottom baits from the start? 🤔

Daniel great minds think a like !!
I have also thought about that myself over the years.. get a company to make a boilie with a washed out appearance with very limited attraction.. be intrested to see the result..

Hiya David.- Tom is the best person to ask but I have always done well with a small pva mesh bag with a small wafter but don't touch it again until it goes or it rips off 😎 tight lines and good luck.. you could also try and wash out a few baits but just put out only a few..tight line and good luck

Sorry I haven't Damon.. however nice idea for a future video

I disagree. Carp can't tell that a bait is a washed out colour. However they can taste the difference. Fresh baits are typically over flavoured and therefore taste like shite. Once they have lost the flavour they will eat them.
Highly Flavoured baits catch the angler not the fish .
