That last part of Em's verse is crazy. He said he'll run circles around so fast it'll make your head spin. Then he mentioned cabbage, lettuce and olives, all of which are heads of (head of lettuce). Then the chorus is drop the world on ya head. Nasty combo.
Thx,I knew I was missing something with that bar. On a side note I think that "I took the time" bar was a reference to when Lil Wayne said in an interview that the reason he and Eminem hadn't collaborated is because Eminem just didn't have time to.
@@garywright4106 nah it's more like Em have talked about this period were he was basically angry at everything and anyone and almost put out a song dissing all of the top rappers at the time etc. He hated them... later looking back more so for feeling he was lacking himself. Then when he came off of drugs he made an attitude change and was thinking why I even hate these dudes so much and then really this collobration came around at the time. He have talked about it few times.

Woke people on the block up, some lady started yelling at us to shut up from her window, so naturally - we got louder. Next thing I know, cops pull up🤣🤣🤣 I just wouldn’t shut up 🤷🏻♀️. Foolish. Young. But had all the fun. Got handcuffed & put in the back seat, then released with a $200 ticket for disturbing the peace. Worth it. An artist knows how to put everything they have into their music and force you to feel it. You relate to it. You hear the struggle, you feel the pain, you’ve been there and you feel like the song was made for your life.

I’m so glad you brought up wicked ways. There’s some gems in his discography that people have slowly gotten to realize how crazy the verses are. Kill you, stay wide awake, any man, drug ballad, spend some time, believe, cause he has so much mainstream and them shock rap that those in between songs get lost
Em said that he got influence from Pac. He was so impressed on how 2pac new when and how to say a word on a specif part of a beat to make it sound so perfect.

It's also wonderful for me because once in a while you shed a light on something, or make an analogy that makes sense.

Lil Wayne is a poetic rapper as I call it. His style gives you the words easily, but they are so amazingly powerful they can change lives.
My word is my pride
But wisdom is bleak and that's a word to the wise.
Says it with such a poetic mastery......but the gut punch of it is beyond measure. And he never fails to hand us masterpieces in music and rap.
Then to bring Eminem on it as well. I think for older people, and long time fans, it is more than easy to catch what he is saying. It is when he is spitting on a quicker level, or with the multi-meanings that it is harder for people to capture what is actually being said. The world is my Easter egg and it is time to dye. My sister, as a gamer, did not catch that for ever, because she thought he had to be referencing something of his life that was hidden in the song itself. Once I explained her hearing DIE was actually DYE she got it.
But these two masters are always perfection together. They could release an entire double CD of collab tracks, and I would be on it without a second thought.
This has been one of my favorites for about 10 years! My kids & husband have learned to love it! My 70 year old father sings along as best as he can!

I always thought it was interesting that when Wayne and Em did their collabs Wayne's album was Rebirth and Em's album was Recovery coming right off Relapse. As Wayne was winding down from the tear he had been on Eminem was just gaining his second wind.
