This is awesome. I feel like we are trading great sports and traditions. Football is my first love I’ve played for 18 years from the time I was little through high school and college and semi pro. I’ve coached youth football for 8 years as well. Then while playing football when I was older I started training in Brazilian Jujitsu. I have been doing that now for 15 years and have earned a black belt. When I went to Rio I got a chance to see people practicing rugby but I thought to myself I would love to see them playing American football and have a chance to teach and share what I know with them. My first love is football I’ve learned BJJ it’s my love now. Just love seeing them being shared with the US and Brazil. I would love to see football grow more in Brazil. Ótimo trabalho ensinando futebol americano no Brasil, cara! Obrigado!!
Hey Mark, great video! I played with a lot of those guys! You should take a look at the teams from Paraná, the state right below São Paulo, commonly called the "Brazilian Texas." The first full-pads match was played down there, and we have the biggest national champion, the Coritiba Crocodiles. The team just completed 20 years of history and was coached by an NFL player, Johnny Mitchell.
i remember Johnny Mitchell! That's great, thanks for the response. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY i should continue the project. The history of brazilian football needs to be told. I know about the south and Cuiaba football. I interviewed Igor Motta during the 2016 Minas Bowl. i'll post that soon. And Trex beat Flamengo for the title in 2016. Good football down there. Maybe you could help when i come to shoot. 👍

Me and Leo Ribeiro just started recording for The Big Gringo Podcast. Would be great to have you on to talk Brazil Football League.
I’m one of those American players who chooses Brazil over US. 3rd season here🫡
