You handled it perfectly and I think that young man handled it well too after the fact. It's a good example of rural folks handling their issues and getting things set back straight without having to make mountains out of molehills. good job
This is exactly why honest people who ask to fish or hunt someone's land get told no . Trustworthy people such as myself and wife have a hard time finding places to go ,So people pick up your trash and ask permission!!!!!!!! Good job catching them
Who cares about the citified tree huggers that want to cry cause you eat meat!!! Those clowns need to read the word of the Lord, whom gave us the animals to eat.
@@SamSitar Really explain that statement. I don't know where you get your information but in my home state and im sure it's the same in most States if you can't navigate a boat down a water course it's considered the land owners property inside his property boundry and that creek sure didn't look big enough to navigate a boat on . Apparently your a city boy living on the Eastern Coast . Who doesn't know shit about owning property other than the 100ft by 100ft lot your house sits on .
I was nearly shot INSIDE MY HOUSE by tresspassing deer poachers one year. Missed me by less than a foot. The Sheriff got involved. We raise cattle out here and don't need people messing with our gates and shooting at us. We're liable to shoot back if they shoot at us again. And I hope they can run faster than the bull.
READ BEFORE THIS SO YOU UNDERSTAND THE VIDEO BETTER: #1: The person "peeing" was leaving tampons and toilet tissue all over the woods beside my house...that's why I made mention of this...I don't care about peeing outside..just clean up ur mess. Gross tampons and piss tissues all over the woods..not OK #2: What I am showing you here was not "Andy and Opie Taylor" walking in the woods carrying a tackle box..these guys were disrespectful folks who did not follow the law (labeling traps and checking them daily). They left a trail of beer cans and cigarette butts in the creek and in my field...there is no public land near my place...this is my backyard and we spent hours pulling trash and tires out of this small creek.. #3: Ask yourself...Would I be angry if I found this guy in my backyard drinking and throwing out trash? Is it OK to litter in a creek bed? Did these guys have good intentions or were they just a couple of drunks walking through someone else's back yard leaving a trail of destruction If you still feel like I was wrong for fussing at them..oh and not calling the police or wildlife officer, then go on and leave your criminal sympathizing negative comments. These guys were committing crimes...breaking the law and I let them slide..thanks
Stoney Ridge Farmer, burn their behinds! We have property and we set the tone Right away! You trespass u go to jail! No questions! We worked our ass off to purchase our 200 acres! There are people who feel that the should be able to just walk or ride it and play can bite me! Get a job and earn it!!
Farmer Family Homestead .. good morning!! Vey small town where we are. I just put the word out that if u r on our property I will call the authority's! We put up cameras also. Sorry, I should have explained better the first time!
Your a lot nicer then I am...I had such a problem with trespassers/dumpers that my spring was contaminated, and I had to clean it out, wait 3 months, and haul water in..I have had deer stands, bait piles, tossed kills, and trash..I started out talking and trying to be a good neighbor. They played me and started cutting my state protected plants, and poisoned my spring...(6 acres away in Mtns from house)..no line of sight...I stopped it....put out boards with nails sticking out all over that area..bloodied 4 out of 10...No more trespassers..I know it was extreme, but this was 1.5 years in and they did my spring...I was bbn lucky and smelled it or my pregnant wife might have drank poison! So I didn't and don't feel one bit bad about it..."Don't beware the gun...Beware the owner"
Like I wrote before, my Grandfather would give them rock salt first barrel, and buckshot out of the second. One time he sat up a black fishline as a trip wire, tied to a hornets nest. He said he had to do that one at night. He said it backfired because once the nest was down, he couldn't go around it for a couple weeks. He never heard what happened to the trespassers. This was back in the early 1900's, and times were much different then. Smiles.
I'm so sorry that is happening to you. This disrespect to land owners, and their property is very dangerous. I'm all for protecting the property and families, I would too. Be safe!
Love your videos :) Perhaps it's because I am part Native American and was raised in that culture, but I don't understand vegetarianism. We were taught that Everything you eat was once alive and that's why you eat it. You are converting it's life force into life for you by eating it. So, whether you eat a carrot or a cow you are still ending one life cycle to continue yours and you should be grateful. If you think that way, then really it's more humane to eat an animal as they had a fighting chance to get away. The vegetables have no hope. Straight up murder lol
Singleman I was pointing out the moral hilarity in the OP's statement that it is better to kill an animal, verses a carrot, because an animal can run away, so yes as it turns out if you had passed a 5th grade reading comprehension you would understand people are suggesting things. In regards to the fat, could you name the fat required for human health that cannot be obtained from plant sources, because even omega 3 is easily found in plant sources such as flax, chia, nuts, ext.. in the form of ALA, and you can even get preformed omega 3 (despite the body being able to convert ALA to DHA and EPA) from algae with DHA and EPA. It is ironic you call vegans tiresome when I was replying to someone calling out vegans, as it turns out there are not vegans commenting everywhere, just meat eaters ironically commenting about how annoying vegans are, when we are only replying to posts were we are called out.
He knows exactly what he did. He called because he has a fishing license and he would probably lose his license if you press charges for trespassing. That's why he was so apologetic.
Owner: "So who's with you?" Trespasser: "Aaaaah... he's... a good guy" Owner: "There was some trash left behind..." Trespasser: "Wasn't me, I didn't do it, I told him not to, maybe he left something..." Conclusion: He wasn't a good guy, ye lied again.
I just stumbled on this, and I've got a comment. I'm a Vegetarian! Well, second-hand vegetarian. The ANIMALS I eat, eat vegetables. Makes me a second-hand vegetarian. Seriously, great show. steve
I appreciate folks trying to handle things themselves instead of just getting on the phone and calling the police. We all need to live together with kindness and respect for each other.
He sounded genuine enough to me, and I think it was handled just fine. It's a situation that needs to dealt with calmly yet leaving the trespasser in no doubt that if it happens again there will be consequences. No point kicking up a stink and involving the law unless the guy doesn't heed the warning, or unless damage is done. This guy lives relatively close by, and there's nothing to be gained by pissing off neighbours, even if you are in the right. If you do, you may well have stopped the trespassing but now you have neighbours and their families and friends all with a grudge against you. The trespasser knows now that he was treated fairly.....so all good.
He knows he’s been caught because of the sign (give me a call if you want your traps back) and must realize he could be in trouble with the law. The items deposited on the property are totally disrespectful and hazardous waste. I was thinking putting a large target nearby with numerous 50 caliber holes. A notice below the target that prohibits tracer and armor piercing rounds at the Live Range, Open 365 days per year. Maybe the folks at Ft Bragg could fix you up with the above “used” target.
I think you are spot on. They knew exactly what they were doing. They are just apologetic because they got caught. My wife and I deal with stuff all the time. Hunters will drive right by a no trespassing sign into the field to release dogs. When we confront them they love to say "it's fine, I know the owner"..... hmmm, well we don't know them!!!!
Because they're hungry and want to see what real food looks like. They do it when all their vegan friends are sleeping, delete their browsing history and try to get excited about another day of eating grass..
I'm going out a limb here but vegans eat veggies....and well they are grown on farms lol .......personally if it isn't served with meat I'm not eating it.
@@jeffersonjones5668 The dude already admitted to TRESSPASSING on the mans property at least three times even going up into one of his feilds . Littering on the mans property would you like it if someone littered on your property everytime he set foot on it. If either one of those trespassers got injured say a dead tree fell on one of them the land owners can be held responsible in alot of States. And he knows all the property around him is private property if he wants to catch minnows he could set his traps under the bridges of county roads it's usually considered public domain as long as you dont go beyond whats considered the road ditch .
@@dtroystopper2 no, but it's pretty obvious in this case...and having been a hunter myself for over sixty years my observation is that it's pretty hard to unknowingly trespass.
Hi Josh, I’m watching this from the U.K. and I have to say, that if I was in your shoe’s I’m not sure that i’d Be so lenient. You were firm but fair and I take my hat of to you sir,
Thanks Richard....ya know..what could I do....prosecute...spend a bunch of time fighting it and nobody gets anywhere....the justice system here in the us is not the best for prosecuting trespassers....best thing to do is let him know I have my eye on things
The situation was very well handled on your behalf. You could’ve easily called the cops and had him put in jail, but you didn’t. You gave the man a chance. You have my respect brother.
.....Good Work Young Man.....You are teaching all of us how important it is to Protect Our Families, and how vital it is to "document" a violation of our property rights, as you did in your conversation with that Trespasser......Having his photo on the monitor screen in the background, while recording your call to the man, was "brilliant", and a "legally bullet-proof" way to protect yourself & your family's welfare, should you ever have any trouble with that man again being on your property, or causing you any kind of harassment.......I read a few comments below, regarding lawsuits, suing, etc.......To financially protect your hard-earned family assests, make sure you carry a good General Liability Insurance Policy for injuries to folks you invite onto your property as guests, and for those that "honestly wander" on to your property and who may get hurt......And Remember, if you have someone working on your property, someone you are "paying" to be there to perform work for you, that person must have their own Insurance Coverage in case they are hurt doing their work.......Your family's General Liability Policy will not typically not cover a "paid contractor".......Keep posting videos.....You've Got Talent.
I'm not sure how many women you have subscribed but I grew up on a farm, lots of land, hunting, fishing, trapping and cutting our own wood. I love your videos.... Thanks!!
Awesome Piper! So....I can see the statistics....only about 10% of my viewers are women....if ya see something you like..be sure and share it with your friends....I have some great videos on raising chickens, gardening, honey bees, landscaping and even cooking! Thanks so much for your positive comment!
I agree, be firm on no trespassing. I'm a beer drinker when I fish, but I NEVER leave litter, instead I bring a bag to pick up other people's trash. Sadly, people always want what other people have and they'll disrespect people's property lines, etc... I think you were a whole lot more calm and diplomatic than I would have been. BTW, if you want your property to be accessible by deer but don't want any trespassers coming in, put down fencing poles w/o wire and paint the tops according to the wildlife dept in your state. Hunters must obey those boundaries or they can be arrested for poaching and the deer just ignore those posts and walk right in.
Being in the water is only safe when it is navigable water, (water you can take a boat down). Then as long as you do not step foot on shore you are not trespassing.
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I had Kayakers cut my fence across the creek. The trouble is the creek comes out of the ground on my land. They decided where the sandy bottom where the rainwater runs, was a good place to have a party, drink beer, and crap in my horses water tank. Yeah...I had to dump the whole thing, wash it and fill it again. All 800 gallons of it. People like that are the very reason landowners get pissed. I had it on camera, and found out who they were because I have a Kayak, and know a few people in the groups. In all honesty, the Sheriff's department does not have the personal to cover someone's turd. I was able to prosecute and get momentary damage from cleaning up the mess, and the damage on the fence. Their lawyer's defense? The fence was already cut and they thought it was a public beach. Yeah, I ALWAYS have to go through a cut fence to get to public lands. I had cameras that were activated by any motion, and showed them using my "No Trespassing, Private Property" sign as a hand hold to get up the draw to get to my water tank, passing several purple painted trees in the journey to their poop on camera. They are lucky that my Hines 57 was in the barn. He would have took them out. He was a rescue and does not like strangers. Glad it worked out for you, it's sad that you have to waste your time on idiots. Smiles.
A few years ago some locals caught routinely trespassing on a neighbor's land. It's the last property on a dead-end road that's bordered by a river. Beautiful place, lot of history as it was the site of an 1800s ferry. It used to be trespassed on a lot till some of us started checking it around the clock. We took shifts & word got out. He didn't mind people going on it fishing but no trash & that's what shut it down. Pissed a lot of people off but as the owner said, no one asked.
In Indiana we talked to a conservation officer about this because we have a problem with trespassers "idiots". He told us that NO TRESPASSING signs don't need to be posted, if the people are trespassing they know it because it's not their own personal property. Press charges next time
Yep...it does seem pretty simple to me...if you' arent in a park....and you aren't on your own land.....well....ur probably trespassing...we live in a world of no responsibility and no repercussions.....if I prosecuted the judge wouldn't do anything anyway....so what's the point of it all....we have one game warden for 3 counties here.....the simple answer is nobody cares but me!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer In your situation.. you are in the right "protecting" your property.. But I have had situations where ranchers tried to kick me off of BLM land, by claiming it was theirs first, and then changing stories that I couldn't "hopscotch" to get to BLM land by passing through private land..I showed him the topo maps and how the latitude/longitude lines didn't connect and it was entirely possible to go from one grid to another without passing onto private land..Then I asked for his drivers license so I could take a picture of it and complain to the F&W Game department about harassment.. After a few moments pause he wished me good luck..Again.. You are in the right... and have every right to protect your land... but not all land owners are ethical either
Tells me he's probably another unemployed person without a purpose and most likely has limited options due to his geological placement. Trappings probably the only thing that this guy gets any joy from doing. I'm a landowner as well. People need to stop being so childish about trespassing. We killed the Indians to take the land u are now pissed off about another white man drinking beer and trapping on. U said leave comments. I probably wouldn't have said anything, otherwise. Not that it's gonna make a difference anyway. Looks like a cool channel all and all.
You are 1000% Right, I worked alongside FBI and Chicago Police, for around 12 years. I recently moved to Virginia and use My skills to catch people in lies constantly. I have stories, maybe for another day.
They was drunk, u know how that is, lol, u did the right thing brother, i dont think u gotta worry bout them no more, lol!, especially with that rifle range u got, lol!! I ❤️ it brother, keep em coming, Lil Dav!.
property rights have always been king in America, peoples strong identities can limit their possibilities, never let others be in charge of your emotions , people... ALL... people are in progress. Some are farther along then others. Always operate from a place of calm , confident, experience. We all must play the teacher and the student to our selves.
Nope...the mail woman does....and leaves toilet paper bombs all over the woods...shoot I wouldnt care if it was a dude.... it's the toilet paper gently blowing through the woods like little pieces of piss covered tumbleweed ......lol I crack myself up!
I live in the country, and have stopped on the side of the road many times, "to take care of my business." But always take my trash with me! That's really disgusting to find used tampons in your yard! Not to mention, what kind of diseases are left with her trash and excrement! Regardless if you are yard is Acres of space, it is still your yard! You should consider filing a complaint with the post office! And this slob lives in your community somewhere! On second thought, find out where she lives, and take a dump in her front yard!
TP is biodegradable, yes, but the proper way to dispose of used TP is to bury it. Same with your excrement. If your in the woods on public land this is what you do, but dont trespass on private property, period.
Alcatel Evolve2 “Sounds” like a good idea, but who knows how long he’d take to get over there & really do a good job in cleaning up “his crap” Nooo, he’s done enough damage 🤦♀️ He’s been told & warned...No reason to come back on that land .. None! ‘Nuff said -
I think you handled yourself with respect to your land and your livelihood. No one has the right to trespass on your land even if there were no trespassing signs much less when trespassing signs are easily seen. I also think giving a warning was very kind of you seeings they left trash behind as well as drinking. Now if someone driving down a a public Road and needs to pee I have no problems with them pulling over and peeing as long as no other traffic is coming to were they can expose themselves to the public. I am an old country boy and I know how it is to need to pee but there's no bathroom for miles. But to be on someone's private land walking , trapping , fishing or hunting that should never happen without written permission from the land owner no matter if there's trespassing signs or not. Some people have no respect for other's property. I owned 17 acres of wooded land and have caught many hunters trespassing and I give them one warning as long as no deer or any other animal has been killed. But I make them unload there gun while walking out. If they get nasty I call the police end of story.
Dude seen the cameras and new he was caught. you handled that well. When we first moved to our place I got the neighbors coming across me and messing with my feeders, had them in camera , they left me a note to call them lol. they didn't know i had them on camera. they wanted to know who's deer feeder was in that field. they don't own any land out here but lived there for like 20 years and always did what they wanted.....until I bought the place lol. I don't have any issues anymore with them. The kid got a truck and a gf and he is to busy to be messing around on my acres lol. thanks for sharing and good job keeping your cool with that guy.
Keeping It Dutch I had the same problem not so much with feeders but had the drunk drive up on his side of the fence and scream that he doesn't want me Hunting on his place?? I was on my side of the fence on my land and told him I own this and if he had a problem I'd call the police right then and there. Some people just think it belongs to them f@#$ him and I told him if I see him over my fence calling the police would be the second thing I would be doing. He hasn't sad a word to me in a year and I don't think he will
Keeping It Dutch Question I have for them is if they don't own the land and it's not their feeder then why the fuck are you on the land and what the fuck is it to them who's feeder it is.
Had some dealing with this . In Illinois we would canoe the "Rivers". Some farmers would have fence run across the river with gates for canoes like plastic pipe over the fence wire and places for hikers to pass. Some farmers would have solid barb wire fence run across the river with no trespassing signs ? We check with the state ,+fish and Game +++ and the answer was always the same. The said the waterways are FREE that includes the river banks. They even said we can cut the fence if we need to and report the locations of anyone trying to block us. ??? I never asked about creeks so anything with a River designation was free to the public. I can understand his confusion. This is information going back to the 70's so it may be wrong now. Anyway he should not have littered and should have checked the laws 1st. Great idea for moving the chickens.
Thanks for the comment Paul...I grew up on a river in Virginia..a large river...bordered our property and folks canoed and fished all the time....my little "branch" creek was hardly a waterway...but it does have some 3 ft deep holes...that's where our buddy here was trapping...without tags on his traps...without checking them properly...he just went where he wanted and did what he wanted...and got busted
I think you did the right thing. Everyone makes mistakes. But the next time (and there will be) nail him! My parents had a problem with trespassers...They tried telling them, don't do it anymore... My 64 year Dad put up a fence to remind them. They took it down and told my parents they had the fence on their property. My parents had the property surveyed BEFORE they put up the fence. They called the surveyor about it( because the clown took up all the markers he put out. The surveyor contacted the jurk. That took care of the problem.
Yep....I've had the same thing...folks taking down my markers after survey......makes ya love your neighbor who'll fight ya over 6 inches...we have one like that......sorry to say....I honestly don't care....and we both know where the line is
Josh, I hear that all the time. I caught a guy standing in the middle of my Creek and it just makes my head spin. They sit at the bar and come up with what the law is, they don't really check to see if their theory applies truly.
Cameras are so useful! He has probably been scared off your land but you might want to mention it to your neighbours. They do not have your experience with dealing with hostiles.
When UPS comes down my driveway he stops and pees. It aint no big deal to me. Urine doesn't hurt anything, and I can just imagine what a problem it might be for him to find a good place to go. The jerk driving his ATV through my deer yard on the back side of my land is a whole different story. I put a barricade up to put a stop to that. My next door neighbor had a couple of tree stands put up on my place before I moved out here. He had my number and could have called and asked for permission, but didn't. I caught him and his boy sneaking back there fetching them out. They were all camouflaged with the face paint and the whole nine yards like they were commandos behind enemy lines. He didn't ask for permission to do that either. I still have one of the tree stands. It's not leaving my place until he comes and asks me for it, which I know he won't do.
Lol yep dont mind the pee myself...find it a bit funny...it's funny how people dont have the "balls" to confront ya like a man anymore. They just go and do whatever they want...that being said...an inocent walk across the property is very different than carrying beer and trapping on another man's place....that crap cannot go on....was he hurting anything...NO.....was he leaving trash? YES AND THAT HAS TO GO!
I had another neighbor set targets up against a couple of my pine trees and shot them up so bad the wind blew them down. He was also spinning donuts in my driveway with his ATV throwing the rock out, so I had to go and fix that. I let them use my driveway for their access, but they don't have an easement. I told them the next act of vandalism I'm putting up a fence, and since then no more problems.
Josh you was totally within your right to do what you did with this guy. My wife and I are looking to buy property out in the country and put a house out there even though we are new to rural living we watch your videos and we watch keeping it dutch and we are learning alot from you guys. We are in kansas
I own 22 acres here in Tennessee and I know it piss's you off when people trespass on your land. I had some SOB kill my 10 point buck and the worst part was he wounded him and left him to die... I have 6 cameras scattered around the property and I'm gonna whip someone's ass this time. I hope you get your problem solved and good luck with your channel. Subscribed and following :.. Rick
My feeling on this is that I have spent a lot of time and money to keep the reckless hunters off of my property. But when you shoot an animal on someone else's property, that is posted No Hunting and then you just leave it to die.. You're a piece of SHIT !!!
I think that went well Josh. I caught 2 guys and a teenager in one of my lock-ups 3 weeks back. My response was to tell the teenager to leave whilst I showed the other guys some north east England hospitality. I’ve worked hard all my life to get what I own. Whether it’s land, property or possessions and not for people to just take what they want, when they want it. You did the right thing!
I can totally understand the frustration with their disrespect first of the land and themselves ( littering) followed by disrespect of your ownership rights. They obviously knew they were violating the property rights in this case. After reading most of the comments... My question: I do a lot of hiking near the edges of public lands. I would respect a sign that says "This is Private Property" just as well as " No Trespassing". How is one to know when they are on private land without markers or fencing?
Easy...if the land isn't your land...and you dont know who's it is...then stay out! This guy had been trapping and probably hunting back there for years..this is just the first time he got caught
Can't tell if this is to me or someone else (this is the second question I've posted since the beginning of UA-cam). I didn't have any questions about the fella in the video, but a more general question to the other posters. Probably not the right person to ask so I will ask elsewhere; like maybe a hiking video. I apologize if the question made you feel put upon or trespassed considering I am certainly not in your league. Sorry for such and "easy" question if this was to me. To make myself clearer, if this was in response to my question; I AM knowingly on public lands but near the perimeters I am sure. In fact I am so careful, I have invested in GPS with additional property boundaries identified to assure myself that I wouldn't trespass on anyones property; even when unmarked. I have wondered how accurate the GPS was with regards to actual boundaries and how other property owners feel if people crossed their property if it wasn't explicitly marked. Not that my lowly opinion matters; but it is fine with me if anyone reading this crossed my property if it isn't explicitly marked. Often times the properties aren't marked at all with some signs so far apart as to leave doubt what area is prohibited without GPS. I can't thank you enough for making it so "easy" and sharing of your boundless wisdom. Hopefully my clarified behavior is adequate for your most undeserved approval.
as a hiker, hunter, trapper, or fishing. it is your responsibility to know the boundaries. there are maps of private property and public land in most states. if there is ever a question of should i be here, best thing to do is leave and find out for sure. you could also call a game warden and ask them. they are here to help everyone enjoy land safely
Great video. Would recommend that you add water to the feed to make is more easily digestible. I saw a video about a smart dude (stony ridge farmer from the future) who does this and his chickens enjoy it
Commenting right after you played message.... the guy seemed genuinely apologetic. He was respectful, and was upfront/man-enough to call you( most would just sneak around). If he’s just trapping minnows, I’d make sure that’s all he did and leave it at that.
Enjoyed this Stoney, as a college kid who has no land of my own and grew up in the suburbs this was interesting to see how to handle this. As an animal ag student, I dream of having my own little farm and land I learned how to handle that kind of stuff and I've learned a lot from you. Love your stuff, keep it up man!
The Bearded Bear As a parent, & small farm owner,,,So happy to see young folks like yourself care about carrying on a age old tradition! Hunting & fishing too, I hope! Gardening for your food is a wonderful thing! We are the first generation in our family not to rely totally on the land for food. Some items we purchase. (Used to!) Good for you!! You sure can learn from this channel! I do!!
You handled this situation well. I faced the same problem with unauthorized hunters who trespassed my private wildlife preservation. I reported to Local Game Warden Officer.
My game warden could care less. He even got mad bc I told him the 24/7 hotline wasnt working for over 2 weeks. I had to email. When they finally fixed the phone, I called and he was nasty about it. I guess he likes sitting in the office in winter w his coffee. They don't have to leave to go to someone's property.
I think you handled that very well. You have every right to feel the way you do. People like that are the main reason land owners post their property. You did very good. God Bless you and your family.
I have no problem with you not being a vegan or a vegetarian not everyone has to live that way and I hate it when they get militant about it. You just keep doing what you're doing. You're doing great. And yes you have a right not to have trespassers on your property. These people have no respect and they need to be taught that they had better have respect and leave you alone. I think respect as becoming lost on people these days. It's one of the many things that seems to have gone by the wayside. I'll keep watching
You were firm but still respectful to him, it shows what kind of a person you are you should be proud of that. He totally manned up and apologized, which most people wont do so that was quite cool, but trespassing burns my britches it infuriates me.
I feel the same way you do and raise our own food too. I would not let anyone slide because dad has posted signs every were and it says trespassers will be shot on site. He has shot at people before and told me to do the same. We have animals all over the place and fully stocked ponds and that's were most of the people go steal our fish. Keep up the awesome work and I am a new sub too.
I think you did the right thing, under these circumstances. Handle it yourself, give firm warning. If they ever do it again then get Law involved. I believe getting the Law involved is always the last resort, depending on what it is.
You handled this situation great. We own a big farm in Iowa and have problems with trespassers all the time as we have several rivers and creeks running thru the farm people think that because you can take a boat thru it that it is all right to pull up on the bank and hunt, camp, cut trees ect. The funny thing is that if they would stop and talk to myself if I'm in Iowa( I live in Louisiana most of the year) or my land Manger and we don't have anybody hunting that day we will most likely let you hunt small game. But very few people ask anymore they just think it is their right to hunt with out permission and these are the one's that gives you the most problems and are the one's you have to get the law involved otherwise they won't stop. But I have to give it to this guy he did call you and apologize.
Yea he did seem pretty sincere...I drive by his house every day..has a nice garden..hated to be a jerk to him but the drinking had me angry...he knew he wasnt supposed to be there
In iowa you have to be careful... lot of meth heads like to set up shop on private property in old silos or grain bins. Or they try to steal from anhydrous ammonia tanks. I got a buddy that owns a farm in Linn county and he has that problem. Those bastards even put up fish hooks at eye level around their camp in case you accidentally stumble across their operation. I got land in AZ, if I caught someone trespassing I'd probably cut them a deal to help me do some chores in exchange for hunting or whatever.
Thought it was good that you called the trespasser and informing him that him coming onto your property in the future with not be tolerated. Well done and enjoyed your video!
@@dogeman8158 some of those meat alternatives are actually worse than regular meat. Not only do some of them skimp on nutrients like fat and iron, many of them contain very questionable chemicals that otherwise don't register on a nutritional facts chart (people tend to focus too much on the fat, sugar, and calories portion of the chart instead of the ingredients list where many health-detrimenting chemicals can hide). People thought margarine was a viable butter substitute, until they found out that it had brominated vegetable oil (also found in soda) which was substantially worse than any animal fat solids could ever be.
You did exactly right. You also have a recording to prove any future case. In Virginia, as long as one of the 2 parties are aware that they are taping or being taped, whichever the case may be, it is LEGAL in the court of law.
I remember when i was a kid it was late at night and i got up to use the bathroom and noticed 2 guys outside our little house in the country and i got my dad and 2 10 gauge shotguns and went there and confronted them they left quick we didnt bother checking the car we should have they got away with my dads credit cards and checkbook if i was up 10mins earlier it would have been a different story But keep up the good work securing your property we now have cameras set up everywhere
I think you did the right thing because he let you know that he was in the wrong it was because he seen the cameras I think either way though people need to respect other people's borders and property lines littering would have been a tough one for me I probably would have reported him for that it's bad enough to be trespassing you don't go on someone else's property and just throw your stuff around it's disgusting and it shows very poor character
My thought is to deposit the confiscated trap with the Sheriff so he can be ID’d by law enforcement when he claims it.Thereafter accidents that happen on your property will get you protected.
The guy sounded pretty genuine in his apology but in today's age and time it's hard to believe anyone anymore. I think you did the right thing and also letting him know you don't want him back there no more. Hopefully it doesn't escalate, as for the "delivery guy" send the video of him peeing on your property to his employer, they will take care of the issue.
Nope, you should have called the law and given them a warning. Or I should say if you lived in Georgia, that is how you would have to do it. I had a problem with some kids getting in my pond and throwing rocks and sticks at my dog. I warned them off and two weeks later when My dog and I were walking my property the kids were at the pond and my dog remembered those kids and tore one up. I got a ticket cause the dog took off after the kid and nailed him over my property line. Dog off leash and then the parents tried to sue me for the dog bites. it didn't work but the cops told me that if you catch a trespasser you have to call them and have the cops warn the trespassers off your land and give them a no trespassing citation. then if they come back on your land the people go to jail or pay a fine.
Well....so happens in NC if you dont have ugly posted signs all over ur land you dont have a leg to stand on...also the sheriff will run them off but not arrest...it's up to the citizen to file a warrent for trespass at the courthouse! STUPID!!
not true... im in NC as well... mark your property with purple paint... Landowner Protection Act Session Law 2011-231 House Bill 762 July 2011 What is the Landowner Protection Act? The Landowner Protection Act (H762) clarifies existing trespass laws, for the purposes of hunting, fishing, and trapping, to specify the requirements for written permission on posted land only. The new law is effective October 1, 2011. What does the Landowner Protection Act do? The Landowner Protection Act addresses existing trespass law to strengthen and clarify four elements: 1. Defines the requirements for written permission to hunt, fish, or trap on posted lands. 2. Allows landowners to post land using purple paint marks or by placing signs or posters, as currently allowed. 3. Allows Wildlife Officers to enforce trespass laws on site, instead of executing process issued by the courts. 4. Removes the exemption for Halifax and Warren counties that requires landowners to initiate prosecution for trespass on posted lands. The Landowner Protection Act specifically relates only to hunting, fishing, or trapping on posted lands. It clarifies the existing G.S. 14-159.6 requirement for written consent to hunt, fish, or trap on posted lands by specifying that written permission, dated within the past 12 months and signed by the landowner, lessee, or agent of that land, be carried and displayed upon request of any law enforcement officer. If a hunting club has leased the land, a person shall have a copy of their hunting club membership and a copy of the landowner permission granted to that hunting club. The Landowner Protection Act does not change general trespass laws nor have any effect on lands which are not posted. It does not repeal any local acts currently in effect that require written permission to hunt, fish, or trap. Why Purple Paint? Landowners in North Carolina who want to post their lands can have difficulty keeping posted signs erected and intact. Using paint marks, as an alternative or in addition to signage, is a convenient and effective means of marking lands as posted, and requires less frequent maintenance and cost, since paint marks are more difficult to vandalize than signs. Many states throughout the U.S. currently allow the use of paint marks to denote land posting. Landowners in N.C. now may use signs, purple paint marks or both to post their properties. Each paint mark must be a vertical line of at least eight inches in length, and the bottom of the mark shall be no less than three feet or more than five feet from the base of the tree or post. For more information, including an illustration, on how to post property under the new law, see the Landowner Protection Act document on our website. Don’t Wildlife Officers already enforce trespass on posted property? Prior to passage of the Landowner Protection Act, Wildlife Officers were generally required to execute process in order to enforce trespass under G.S. 14-159.10. This means a Wildlife Officer would obtain an arrest warrant or criminal summons prior to enforcing trespass. Beginning October 1, 2011 the Landowner Protection Act makes changes that enable Wildlife Officers to write a citation on site, removing the barrier to proper and efficient enforcement of the existing trespass law.
SRF, great video. I'm in the midst of a similar situation with a 170 acre property that I'm slowly developing as a new house/barn site. A complicating factor for me is that my property contains trails that used to be open to the public and old habits die hard. Most people respect the No Trespassing signs but at least one individual has actually been pulling them down. Recently I used the trick of installing two game cameras pointing at each other and caught an individual stealing one (he only found one). The issue is that I don't have anything to identify them e.g. license plate and I can't put a name to the face. My approach is to document everything with the police (my file with them is getting quite large) because I don't want them ever to be able to come back with 'Well, why didn't you tell us about this sooner'. My biggest concern is that there will soon be a piece of heavy equipment stored up at the property and I'm concerned that vandalism may occur. So, I'm currently working on a detailed plan to install cameras (including decoys) and battery powered motion sensor spot lights to deter bad guys or at least be able to clearly identify them if something does happen. If something does occur, it will be in the middle of the night which makes things trickier to set up. Anyway, it's a battle but I'm in for the long haul. I hope things have improved for you.
Sounds apologetic enough to me. As long as he gets the message & doesn't repeat offend. Calling the law sux if you don't need to. Makes things worse. Woo!
I think you handled it well. Firm, polite and to the point. I'm a small farm owner and I am amazed at how brazenly some people are. I've got posted signs all over my private road and I've had people drive right through the middle of my land and have to stop only because my neighbor and I keep a gate locked between our places to keep folks out. I have about 4 neighbors with adjoining land and we all are friendly and have verbal agreements about hunting, river access, etc., but complete strangers aren't allowed and even if they come up and ask, we just don't allow it. It's just too dangerous to have complete strangers around. Just curious, did he come get his traps?
How can you go out hunting or fishing WITHOUT knowing what laws are in play before you go? A violation can lead to a Felony. An ethical hunter, trapper, fisherman would never just go blindly to do whatever. Only a poacher will.
No signs are needed to say private propery in my state. Either a person owns the property or has a note from the owner in order to be on private property. Everyone else is tresspassing, period.
in NH that is NOT the case. if there's no signs you're free to hunt and fish, but must leave if the landowner tells you too. this is the way i grew up, NH gives tax credits to people who keep their land NOT posted.
Man this was very well handled and you respected this man's identity and kept your cool with the bullsheet. I wish gold shaw farms saw this before he published his videos and handled it the opposite of how a youtuber should handle personal issues. Poor man was harassed pretty badly for one incident.
That is one thing I love about Montana you can walk the high water mark on any river or stream and you are not trespassing. You can not cross private to get to the river with out permission but once your on the river not a damn thing anybody can say its considered public land. The state has tons of fishing access points to get on the rivers. Trespassers piss me off my property is posted and I am lucky I have not had any problems.
Josh, in most (all?) states you can call the police and have a formal "trespass warning" put on a trespasser. If they behave, there's no penalty. But if you catch 'em again? It elevates the trespass charges, gives 'em good reason not to come back again. I tell the postman, the UPS guy, the guys I want to know about, anytime they need some cold water or a bathroom, don't be afraid to ask. Same offer can get you a little more attention from the sheriff's patrol if you want that too.
@@kellybelanger3685 I figured he was joking about that.. when a guys gotta go he's gotta go I wouldn't make him hold it if i had an acre. it's not like he's pissing on your bushes outta spite or something... and wtf kelly, you bad girl.
I completely agree with you Josh. I’ve read a bunch of comments here, I can’t say that I agree with nobody is the owner of natural land... That is definitely an unwise statement. If you have 10 acres of land in your name and it has a thousand deer and a creek runnin throughout the center then everything on your side is yours. That’s the whole reason you payed what you did for the property lines that you got... Wherever your property line runs everything in the middle is yours because you payed for it end of story. Everything that happens within the confines of those property lines is your business and your life! That’s it, nothing else matters but your decision. Just like it is at my house here in the country... It’s mine, I own it! If your not invited then your a criminal and will most likely be shot in all seriousness because I’ve taken it that far before and will always! Your money, your decisions, your land, your personal property, your business... No one else’s but your wife and offspring, that is your rights and that is the law.
I CAN UNDERSTAND YOUR POINT OF VIEW. AND I RESPECT THAT . DID YOU EVER THINK THAT THE MINNOWS HE GOT FROM THE CREEK MAY HAVE BEEN USED TO CATCH FISH TO FEED HIS FAMILY?? GREAT VIDEOS. GOD BLESS
We are talking about the guy carrying the beer and throwing down cigarette butts right? I have no pitty for the so called "starving and impoverished" that have money for cigarettes...beer a boat....but no money for food.....I don't think his stealing from me is justified
I think it was handled about right. You saw you were wronged, gathered some more evidence and made your case against him. You spoke with him and gave a fair judgement even though he was a bullshitter. He knows now if he does it again his ass is yours. I have had similar problems on land I own and its always the same type of person, they don't own land and don't understand how frustrating it is to be taken advantage of. I always say if you would have asked me first I may have said yes go ahead and pick berries on my land but you took without asking and that pisses me off.
Still should have gotten his buddies name for when tools go missing….. that’s the thing about someone coming and asking to hunt/fish/trap ….. if you say yes they keep coming and tell their friends and family…. If you say no you may start having property theft and such. I’m always amazed at people who want to impose on our land but have family and friends that have land that they could ask to hunt on. “We might have more time to recreate too if we weren’t working maintaining our property and paying for all that goes with landownership, but as it is we don’t have time for lazy afternoon of fishing” …. Is what I want to say to the solicitors of access.
Thank you for sharing. I love it. You are doing what I want to do but I'm aged and poor. Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up. Again thanks. God speed
Good job on handling your castle with a verbal warning. I think he got the point once, I'm pretty sure, they seen your camera/s. Your videos are getting better too. I seen more recently ones then went back looking. Subscriber from Washington state coastline. I really hate that there are less and less land owners who won't allow knock hunters on their land and your videos show my son (almost an eagle scout) why we do what we do to protect this privlage to even make it to some doors to ask. Anyhow, God bless R.
Good job catching them
or because the garbage government keeps selling off public lands so they can tax it. and there is no places left!~! does that sound more right?

the 'no' is because the person you ask doesn't own it.

@@SamSitar Really explain that statement. #2: What I am showing you here was not "Andy and Opie Taylor" walking in the woods carrying a tackle box..these guys were disrespectful folks who did not follow the law (labeling traps and checking them daily).
Did these guys have good intentions or were they just a couple of drunks walking through someone else's back yard leaving a trail of destruction
If you still feel like I was wrong for fussing at them..oh and not calling the police or wildlife officer, then go on and leave your criminal sympathizing negative comments. These guys were committing crimes...breaking the law and I let them slide..thanks

Like I wrote before, my Grandfather would give them rock salt first barrel, and buckshot out of the second. One time he sat up a black fishline as a trip wire, tied to a hornets nest. Perhaps it's because I am part Native American and was raised in that culture, but I don't understand vegetarianism. Straight up murder lol
satine s Captain Kirk, a scan of the planets surface detects the life force of a carrot
satine s what tribe are you from because im navajo
Are you suggesting killing an animal that can feel and experience pain and fear is more moral than eating plants?
Dudefromspace567 there are 24 amino acids required for good health..you can only substitute 18 with non meat sources..plus chicken tastes goid
He knows exactly what he did. He called because he has a fishing license and he would probably lose his license if you press charges for trespassing. That's why he was so apologetic.
I thought the same thing
Owner: "So who's with you?"
Trespasser: "Aaaaah... he's... a good guy"
Owner: "There was some trash left behind..."
Trespasser: "Wasn't me, I didn't do it, I told him not to, maybe he left something..."
Conclusion: He wasn't a good guy, ye lied again.

He's not sorry for trespassing, only sorry he got caught
He should clean up his mess and be charged for littering and trespass. Call the cops on him
Agreed
I appreciate folks trying to handle things themselves instead of just getting on the phone and calling the police. We all need to live together with kindness and respect for each other.
he's only apologizing just because he thinks he might get his stuff back
He sounded genuine enough to me, and I think it was handled just fine.
Rick Cruz Did you listen to the phone call? The trespasser said he didn’t need them back.. No worries....
Rick Cruz not only that
just because he thinks he might get his stuff back - used tampons?
What part of you're not welcome on my property does this guy not understand ?? Please keep us updated...
Why would a vegan watch a farm video?
Not quite sure...but some really don't like us raising chickens
So they can work up a self-righteous anger and get a charge out of it.
Because they're hungry and want to see what real food looks like. They do it when all their vegan friends are sleeping, delete their browsing history and try to get excited about another day of eating grass..
Trolls
I'm going out a limb here but vegans eat veggies....and well they are grown on farms lol .......personally if it isn't served with meat I'm not eating it.

The fact that he called says a lot.
I agree..he manned up
not really he didnt give the name of the other Guy and he played the he might have left one beer can jazz
He called because he knew that if he didn't apologize, that he'd be having a discussion with the county sheriff.
And umm
Tells me he's probably another unemployed person without a purpose and most likely has limited options due to his geological placement. Trappings probably the only thing that this guy gets any joy from doing. I'm a landowner as well. People need to stop being so childish about trespassing. We killed the Indians to take the land u are now pissed off about another white man drinking beer and trapping on.
U said leave comments. I probably wouldn't have said anything, otherwise. Not that it's gonna make a difference anyway.
Looks like a cool channel all and all.
When someone starts with I'll be honest, THEY'RE LYING.. 100%
Yep...exactly!
True ...true...
Not true.. I usually begin with that when I tell someone that they don’t need some type of upgrade I’m about to offer them.
Or my favourite is..."I swear to God..." & " ...as God as my witness..."
I ❤️ it brother, keep em coming,
Lil Dav!.
property rights have always been king in America, peoples strong identities can limit their possibilities, never let others be in charge of your emotions , people... ALL... people are in progress. Some are farther along then others. Always operate from a place of calm , confident, experience. We all must play the teacher and the student to our selves.
So the mail man pees in your woods? Mine does as well. He doesn't have anywhere to go on his route so I let him.
Toilet paper is biodegradable put tampon is nasty
TP is biodegradable, yes, but the proper way to dispose of used TP is to bury it. Same with your excrement. If your in the woods on public land this is what you do, but dont trespass on private property, period.
Mailman can use public bathrooms like the rest of us that work from place to place
Good job Bud . They don't like them cameras too much . Kind of paints that portrait . !
you should give him a one-time permission to come clean his crap and get out of there
lol
No! Schit heads like this would turn around and sue ya for a stubbed toe!
No way you should sell those traps to cover ur labor of clean up.
Alcatel Evolve2 “Sounds” like a good idea, but who knows how long he’d take to get over there & really do a good job in cleaning up “his crap” Nooo, he’s done enough damage 🤦♀️ He’s been told & warned...No reason to come back on that land .. None! ‘Nuff said -
Agreed..get you're shit up and outta here
This was an old video Josh, but i hadn't seen it.
You don't need me too tell you that the way you handled it was perfection.
Nice job brother 👍
You handle that very well and were more lenient then most people would have been..100% respect for you sir!
I would've called the cops just to have it n record in case he comes back. Be safe!
Y'all handled it right. You gave the real man one chance
Keeping It Dutch a
Keeping It Du
Keeping It Dutch I had the same problem not so much with feeders but had the drunk drive up on his side of the fence and scream that he doesn't want me Hunting on his place?? I was on my side of the fence on my land and told him I own this and if he had a problem I'd call the police right then and there. Some people just think it belongs to them f@#$ him and I told him if I see him over my fence calling the police would be the second thing I would be doing. He hasn't sad a word to me in a year and I don't think he will
hunttomuch wolfe ppl are crazy for sure
Thanks for the comment Paul...I grew up on a river in Virginia..a large river...bordered our property and folks canoed and fished all the time....my little "branch" creek was hardly a waterway...but it does have some 3 ft deep holes...that's where our buddy here was trapping...without tags on his traps...without checking them properly...he just went where he wanted and did what he wanted...and got busted
landowners who block rivers should be fired.
That was an excellent blog. I don't think you were too harsh with the man, he had it coming. I enjoyed the blog very much.
They sit at the bar and come up with what the law is, they don't really check to see if their theory applies truly.
a fishing license protects them in that situation. instead of ejecting you police ask for your drivers license.
@@SamSitar no it doesn't and I've proved it doesn't 8 times...there are actually laws that hold up in court, not the opinions of men
Cameras are so useful! He has probably been scared off your land but you might want to mention it to your neighbours. They do not have your experience with dealing with hostiles.
They we're poaching!! Deal with it and don't let them off.
stop buying public lands from the trash greedy government
Huck Finn urine can kills plants and grass on contact.
What you drinking to cause that!! I piss off my porch onto the grass and a few of the wifes flowers, none dead yet in 35 years.
That's cuz you diluted it with lots of beer before you peed!
Rick
most folks just dont understand....good to have ya on the channel buddy...hope u subscribed!
Wait..what? YOUR 10 point?
Yeah... He killed it on MY land and then left it to die !!
Brother, you don't own wild life. It isn't your deer just cause it is on your property
My feeling on this is that I have spent a lot of time and money to keep the reckless hunters off of my property. But when you shoot an animal on someone else's property, that is posted No Hunting and then you just leave it to die.. You're a piece of SHIT !!!
Land mines. The gift that just keeps on giving!
Moronic comment. What are you? Five.
Maps are a extremely useful tool you should use them and It’s 2017 there’s an APP for everything
My understanding of the law, essentially if there's no markers it's not trespassing?
Thanks...good to have ya on the channel.....more good stuff to come!
Thanks Trina
I had trespassers tell me that I was trespassing and that they were the owners on my own land ! They are relentless.
You were firm but still respectful to him, it shows what kind of a person you are you should be proud of that. He totally manned up and apologized, which most people wont do so that was quite cool, but trespassing burns my britches it infuriates me.
Don't lose sight of the golden rule. Anger is a curse.
Jesus expressed anger, just saying
I really like the confidence with which you approached the trespassers! Great security action. I need the cameras, full HD.
You can't cut deals with junkies. The cops do it all the time, see what great results that yields?
Thought it was good that you called the trespasser and informing him that him coming onto your property in the future with not be tolerated. Well done and enjoyed your video!
having a hunting license makes that tolerable.
"I could be back there hunting and you can get shot."
* hint hint *
Exactly!
If someone wants to eat whatever that's fine , when they start telling everyone else what to eat that's bull. EVERYTHING is better with bacon.
I personally don't like bacon but, i can back you up on everything better with meat and not that soy meat crap
I remember when i was a kid it was late at night and i got up to use the bathroom and noticed 2 guys outside our little house in the country and i got my dad and 2 10 gauge shotguns and went there and confronted them they left quick we didnt bother checking the car we should have they got away with my dads credit cards and checkbook if i was up 10mins earlier it would have been a different story
But keep up the good work securing your property we now have cameras set up everywhere
Only takes one time to mess up your life....just an ounce of prevention
I think you did the right thing because he let you know that he was in the wrong it was because he seen the cameras I think either way though people need to respect other people's borders and property lines littering would have been a tough one for me I probably would have reported him for that it's bad enough to be trespassing you don't go on someone else's property and just throw your stuff around it's disgusting and it shows very poor character
I AGREE WITH YOU AND YOU WAS MAN ENOUGH TO TELL HIM AND IF YOU CATCH HIM AGAIN GO AFTER HIM FULL SPEED. THANKS FOR SHARING.
My thought is to deposit the confiscated trap with the Sheriff so he can be ID’d by law enforcement when he claims it.Thereafter accidents that happen on your property will get you protected.
Excellent work! You got them!
STUPID!!
Stoney Ridge Farmer You could always go plinking with your AR right near them.... Ya know, just practicing!

And they could do the same thing for revenge.
not true... im in NC as well... mark your property with purple paint... Landowner Protection Act
Session Law 2011-231
House Bill 762
July 2011
What is the Landowner Protection Act?
The Landowner Protection Act (H762) clarifies existing trespass laws, for the purposes of
hunting, fishing, and trapping, to specify the requirements for written permission on posted land
only. The new law is effective October 1, 2011.
What does the Landowner Protection Act do?
The Landowner Protection Act addresses existing trespass law to strengthen and clarify four
elements:
1. Defines the requirements for written permission to hunt, fish, or trap on posted lands.
2. Allows landowners to post land using purple paint marks or by placing signs or
posters, as currently allowed.
3. Allows Wildlife Officers to enforce trespass laws on site, instead of executing process
issued by the courts.
4. Removes the exemption for Halifax and Warren counties that requires landowners to
initiate prosecution for trespass on posted lands.
The Landowner Protection Act specifically relates only to hunting, fishing, or trapping on posted
lands. It clarifies the existing G.S. 14-159.6 requirement for written consent to hunt, fish, or trap
on posted lands by specifying that written permission, dated within the past 12 months and
signed by the landowner, lessee, or agent of that land, be carried and displayed upon request of
any law enforcement officer. If a hunting club has leased the land, a person shall have a copy of
their hunting club membership and a copy of the landowner permission granted to that hunting
club.
The Landowner Protection Act does not change general trespass laws nor have any effect on
lands which are not posted. It does not repeal any local acts currently in effect that require
written permission to hunt, fish, or trap.
Why Purple Paint?
Landowners in North Carolina who want to post their lands can have difficulty keeping posted
signs erected and intact. Using paint marks, as an alternative or in addition to signage, is a
convenient and effective means of marking lands as posted, and requires less frequent
maintenance and cost, since paint marks are more difficult to vandalize than signs.
Many states throughout the U.S. currently allow the use of paint marks to denote land posting.
Landowners in N.C. now may use signs, purple paint marks or both to post their properties.
Each paint mark must be a vertical line of at least eight inches in length, and the bottom of the
mark shall be no less than three feet or more than five feet from the base of the tree or post. For
more information, including an illustration, on how to post property under the new law, see the
Landowner Protection Act document on our website.
Don’t Wildlife Officers already enforce trespass on posted property?
Prior to passage of the Landowner Protection Act, Wildlife Officers were generally required to
execute process in order to enforce trespass under G.S. 14-159.10. This means a Wildlife Officer
would obtain an arrest warrant or criminal summons prior to enforcing trespass.
Beginning October 1, 2011 the Landowner Protection Act makes changes that enable Wildlife
Officers to write a citation on site, removing the barrier to proper and efficient enforcement of
the existing trespass law.
put some wheels under that cage
So...I almost put wheels under it...but they would just become little plows in the mud eventually

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer oh, good point!!
Woo!
I agree!
He sounded like a good kid. We all mess up and he was honest with ya. Now go fishing with the guy!
How can you go out hunting or fishing WITHOUT knowing what laws are in play before you go? A violation can lead to a Felony. An ethical hunter, trapper, fisherman would never just go blindly to do whatever. Only a poacher will.
V Star 1300 Adventures call your local game & fish. They don't give A FUCK.
having a license and keeping clean also avoids a trespassing charge,
No signs are needed to say private propery in my state. Either a person owns the property or has a note from the owner in order to be on private property. Everyone else is tresspassing, period.
Seems like a good place
in NH that is NOT the case. if there's no signs you're free to hunt and fish, but must leave if the landowner tells you too.
this is the way i grew up,
NH gives tax credits to people who keep their land NOT posted.
Good ol montana
I think you did right...warn first, bring down the lightning and the thunder next time.
The second guy, I don’t trust his word, at all.
Wouldn't care about mailman taking a leak. Would be upset about the poacher
maybe his wife seen the guys huge. Peter and he is jealous
I always say if you would have asked me first I may have said yes go ahead and pick berries on my land but you took without asking and that pisses me off.
thanks buddy
Still should have gotten his buddies name for when tools go missing….. that’s the thing about someone coming and asking to hunt/fish/trap ….. if you say yes they keep coming and tell their friends and family…. If you say no you may start having property theft and such. I’m always amazed at people who want to impose on our land but have family and friends that have land that they could ask to hunt on. “We might have more time to recreate too if we weren’t working maintaining our property and paying for all that goes with landownership, but as it is we don’t have time for lazy afternoon of fishing” …. Is what I want to say to the solicitors of access.
did good here, like how u didnt call the popo on him and instead did it the way u did. I think he apologized well too, was very respectful.
I think when you get busted doing wrong you should be man enough to apologize
Agree 100%
I would have called the game warden, and asked if that guy actually called him.
Anyhow, God bless
