Nice video!! 👍🏼🔥 Just did a job with a spoolgun on aluminum and 5356 wire. Kept sooting real bad so I turned the gas up to 45 CFH &it knocked the soot way down.

By far your best video to date. That was pretty innovative on your part. Get it tuned in and do a part 2. ;)

Looking at getting one of those soon for my bobcat. Currently run a millermatic 211. And for some of the thicker pontoon lifts just can’t quite get enough.

Curious if you have done this with your sae-400. I have a Sam-400 and want to hook my Lincoln spool gun.

Looks great! Time to invest in another hose and coupling along with longer leads to get out there farther.

Does your Spoolmatic-2 have a gas valve in the gun? I’ve got a Spoolmatic 30a that I’ve had for close to 30 years, and it has the valve in the gun, so the gas hose goes straight to the flow meter and not to the machine (or WC in your case). For what it’s worth, I had to certify on mig aluminum - unlimited thickness in all positions with X-ray testing. Stringer beads were specified in the WPS because they’d found that the majority of failed X-ray tests were on plates with a weave! Much more trash in those welds than stringer beads! “Discontinuities” as they refer to them! Testing in accordance with the AWS D15.1 standard.

@Derbador the weldor I'm a guy just starting out. Right now I have a generator and titanium unlimited 200. Thinking about getting used hobart champion 145 for 600 but I see you upgrade to the sa200. I can get a ranger 8 for 400. Cranks and runs fine but doesn't weld. What say you since you've been where I've started.

G’day mate do you adjust the amperage and volts on the sa-200 or the Miller control box? Looking forward to seeing your setup for your suitcase. Now that you have the Miller control box will your suitcase run off it for cv welding? Where I live we can’t do to-code welds with cc machines any more have to use cv and I prefer my old welder to the new ones

See the new gas bottles. They have built in regulators, that don't need any adjustment throughout the bottle

Can you clip the voltage sensing wire to the ground at the machine? Would it make hardly any difference? It would be handier a lot of times.

Aint it amazing how they shrunk the controllers over the years. A wc-3 and the wc-24 is 85% smaller.. but interesting video

I know it’s amazing how technology has evolved. But to be fair the wc24 only works with machines that have a 14pin the wc3 and wc115 work with any cc or cv machine.
