I know you said at the beginning of the video that you like your first play-through of a game to be as close to the original as possible, but I really recommend the Full Dialog Interface mod. It just brings back the ability to see what dialog option you’re choosing like in the previous games. Fallout 4 has some bad preview snippets, so you might pick snarky/sarcastic, and wind up full asshole by mistake. Other than that, it doesn’t affect gameplay, just prevents the game from making you speak differently than you intend to.
I wholeheartedly agree. The full dialogue interface really gets rid of that game controller feel. Especially when you played all the other games on a PC and are continuing to play the series on a PC. And often times their hints to the dialogue doesn't really seem to match what you actually say.

Under the Display settings you can actually change the color of your HUD and the color of your Pipboy screen, and by extension, Pipboy light. 3. In the Pipboy, you can hotkey just about anything by hitting Q then whatever number you want it on. They start you with the baton on 3, gun on 4, and stimmies on 0. 4. You may want to look into a mod that re-enables achievements, cuz they're a thing. Once again, welcome back [b^-^]b
I binged your entire Fallout 3 and New Vegas series over the course of like 2 weeks, I was watching like 9-10 episodes a day. As a result, I got used to all the episodes just being there ready to watch whenever I wanted 🤣 So it’s gonna be tough waiting for these to be released episodically lol. But, I’m thankful you’re back and beyond excited for this playthrough. Needless to say, I’ve been waiting eagerly for this 😃 Now let’s go visit our old friends, Monorail, and Whiskey Shakes Jr.
Yeah the music removal was a deal breaker for me. This game is all about immersion and the radio stations are a big part of that. Not to mention they change as events happen. Such a shame copyright laws are so old and out of date.
Less than 10 minutes in I knew I had to subscribe. You’re calm and talk clearly, you’re naturally curious and excited, and you take the time to explore and read (some) terminal entries,it all makes for a very enjoyable watch. Can’t wait to watch you experience the rest of the game, Fallout is my favourite game series ever! 😃
48:18 Here's a fun fact. All of those "initials" are actually console commands. Don't use QQQ unless you've already made a save (manual save and quicksave, just to be safe). QQQ closes the game without having to go through the main menu. It's safe to use as far as I know (I use it all the time) but I always make two saves beforehand.
QuitQuitQuit was how I normally exited the game. When I decide I'm done, I don't want to have to wait for more menus to load, just to select exit from them too.
This is the first video of yours I’ve seen. Firstly, awesome video. Secondly, I have no idea how much you know about console commands so forgive me if you already know all this. You will probably want to know tcl if you don’t already. If you get stuck between objects/ walls/ fall in a hole and can’t get out, etc, open console, type tcl, hit enter, close console, move over until you’re unstuck. Then reopen, hit the up arrow button, enter, close console. Be aware that means you can also go up, meaning when you restart the collision, you can take fall damage. I can’t tell you how many times that saved me.
So excited for this! Fallout 4 was the first game I played in the series - I didn't have access to video games growing up so I bought a ps4 as an adult and got a load of games completely on a whim, this being one of them. I had NO idea what to expect beyond knowing it was post-apocalyptic. Didn't really know what an RPG was, struggled with a lot of the mechanics. Got a few missions in and ended up completely overwhelmed and gave up for a couple of years. Cut to today and I've completed it multiple times along with FO3 and New Vegas, and I'm just about to start 1 & 2. Can't wait to see what paths you take along the way!
Do 1 first then 2 Not just because 2 is an actual follow up but also uoull be frustrated by the lack of certain mechanica 1 has that 2 doesnt (like being able to push npcs out of your way when you get stuck)
good luck on fallout 1 and 2 you'll need it if I can offer one nugget of advice have between a 8-10 in agility(10 recommended on first playthrough for me at least). and don't put intelligence below 4 or npcs will hardly talk to you because the only thing you can say is wooopwooop, hurdur and stuff like that
same a couple years ago i was kinda young and this game was really hard i tried it again after i heard my teacher talk about it love the game and almost at the end of the game
Welcome back! I'm so glad you are starting a new series. There is one more mod that you need to get that doesn't change the vanilla experience. It's the Full Dialogue Interface mod that changes the dialogue options to what your character is actually going to say, not just a vague choice that you don't actually know what your response will be. Also, feral ghouls will run and leap at you, so be careful. I can't wait for the next episode.
It's fair to feel both ways. Without any spoilers, Fallout 4 is a fun Bethesda where if you want to just explore and mindlessly shoot, then she will have a great time. If it's for the story, mileage may vary depending on expectations.
Enjoying this so far! This was randomly recommended to me, and I'm glad it was. I played the hell out of this game when it came out, something about it just grabbed me, and I can't wait to watch you play through it now!
Welcome aboard! Hope I can give you back some of that sense of wonder from when you binged this game at launch. I'm really enjoying it so far, can see why you got sucked into it back then. ^^
I remember watching your Fallout 3 playthrough back in the day... Got a bit teary eyed realizing it was you when I found this vid! Hope you are doing amazing Missie and I missed you for the longest andd im so excited to watch this! x
Nice! I honestly thought I was never going to see this uploaded. It sucks that the music got removed though. The music is one of the best things in Fallout 4.
There's a mod for replacing the dialogue wheel with the original dialogue boxes from 3 and NV, you aren't the only one who isn't a fan of it. Nice to see you finally start this playthrough!
I have watched quite a few FO4 lets plays, not sure how this one slipped under the radar, but it's already one of my favorites. As soon as you started reading every terminal word for word I immediately paused the video and made a large bowl of popcorn. Can't wait to watch the rest of this series. Cheers, and thanks for the content!
Missie I literally watched every episode of your other Fallout playthroughs. They helped me so much at work during the pandemic. I can't tell you how great it is to see this pop up in my feed! Thank you!!!
Years later i still get a chill up my spine feeling dread seeing the vault doors close and sense of anxiety and hope when riding the elevator back to the surface
I recently got into Fallout 4 because my dad was also into Fallout 4, and he told me that this was the best Fallout game in his opinion, and I can agree!
I've made several playthroughs of FO4. The one moment that gets me everytime is when you first rise from the Vault. The world of Fallout 4 is there for you to explore, all unknown. Same feeling when exiting the cave of Helgen in Skyrim. Bethesda is fully aware of these moments and designs them for full dramatic effect. Todd Howard has stated there will be two such moments in Starfield.
Thank you so much, I've been in a really really horrible place (mentally) recently and I think I found just the series to make me feel better. I hope you have a nice rest of your day!
Thank you for starting Fallout4!! I have been waiting months, I watched your blind play through of Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I was super excited when I saw you started Fallout 4. I couldn't wait and went ahead and played Fallout 4 (several times). Your dialogue about the series is great and I love your laugh. Just keep being you!
So glad to see this in my sub box. Been watching through the New Vegas playlist for the past few months and really enjoyed it. Having a live play through to enjoy is even better!
Glad that you're back. I've been waiting for this playthrough for a while. The dialogue options are very clunky, you may want to add a mod for the dialogue that makes all the lines appear on screen. Your build is gonna make it hard for you but maybe fun, too? Great first episode. Cant wait for the next.
Yaaaay, super excited to see you play through this game, I know it’s not everybodys favorite Fallout, but I personally super enjoyed it, and think you will too. The game keeps in the Fallout spirit, the gameplay has definitely improved, and I think the story and narrative will be to your liking. Been watching since the beginning of New Vegas, Missie, thanks for doing this series! ^^
UA-cam recommended me a hidden gem. I usually watch highly edited videos so watching long unedited playthrough videos are refreshing especially when the person playing is entertaining.
So excited to see you play this! If you hate the summarized dialogue and want to know exactly what you’re character is going to say, there is a mod somewhere that displays the full dialogue options that I would definitely recommend.
This is the first video of yours that I've seen, and you seem really cool. Gonna go back and watch your New Vegas playthrough now, and I'll try to keep up with this series as well!
Yay! Welcome back Missie! And welcome back, sassy Editing Room Missie too! One quick note on mods: the Boston FPS Fix mod is outdated; the mod author now recommends "Previsibines Repair Pack" which is similar but covers the whole map instead of just Boston
Thank you for the tip! I choose that one because it's what everyone on my discord community recommended to me, but I'll investigate this option. Much appreciated MisterKerr!
@@MissieMae No prob! Boston FPS Fix has been around for a lot longer so it's more well-known, but on the "Posts" page on the mod itself the author recommends switching over. Might help with some of those load times?
I appreciate the fact you don't stop to figure out the game details during exploration and combat, because yeah your having fun. You can figure out that later (usually when you get killed) it will be interesting to see your approach to base building, which is my favorite aspect to this game. Makes you feel like your saving humanity while liberating the deadly enemies around from living.
I don’t know if anyone has pointed this out but the amazing part about the opening is that it’s not live action. You can find some colored versions of it on UA-cam and can tell it’s CGI. Its still amazing that they were able to fool so many of us into thinking it was live action though.
In the last shot Nate and all three of the troops not in power armor are using the exact same walk cycle, and three of the four of them are even timed the same, so they have the exact same footfalls. Even in black and white that’s a dead give away
it is actually live action, however it's a mix of both live action and CGI, in the way of effects, similar to a Marvel movie. all it takes is a simple look at the wiki for the details.
Fallout 4 is definitely one of my favorite games as taboo as that may sound I can't stop myself from loving it! I also can't wait to see you play through this game and explore the wasteland as well as its weird charms. I can't wait for this series and I'm glad to see you back in the action.
Little tip for you, if you want to mod your weapons in the future, you're gonna want to put levels into intelligence in order to unlock the Gun Nut perk. It's a life saver later on
this is the first video of yours i have watched. I love the script reading and genuine feel of your videos. I can just sit back and listen if im working or play right along side. Definitely a like, sub, and watching more!
Oh heck yee, I watched your Fallout 3 videos for a time and I've been binging Fallout 4 videos on youtube lately so perfect timing! Subbed, I definitely want to see this
I am watching this years after I played it for the first time. It’s nice to see it someone playing for the first time. I wish I could play it for the first time again.
@@TheInsaneSheckladorGhost how? I hope she’ll stop reading like EVERY pip boy menu, but I’ve been looking for a longer play through, so I’ll probably stick with watching this for a bit.
If you get tired of that terrible dialog wheel, there's a mod that changes it to the menu from the old games where you can actually read what your character is gonna say before you choose the option. Doesn't change any of the dialog or anything, just brings it more in line with the previous games.
I was just about to start on this video and then I noticed you played 3 and New Vegas before this, well... I better watch them in order then... Be back in 250 hours lol
That's a big undertaking!! I hope you have a lot of fun watching them! Let me know when you get back to here I will be interested to find out how long that would take you lolol 😁
@@MissieMae Will do, don't know how long it will take but the first ep of fallout 3 is good so far so I think I will stick with it. Ok, time to grab a drink and some popcorn :)
Yay! Missie's back! And what an enjoyable return! I loved the first episode of your new series, Missie. I've missed your content, but I hope your time off was everything you needed it to be. (I missed you too, Editing Room Mae! I was so happy to see you again, and in the very first episode of the series!) I am so excited about this series and I can't wait to join you as you experience it all for the first time. This is going to be fun! Welcome back, Missie! 🤗
Omg the frog avatar has migrated to UA-cam also!! lolol~ Thank you for being such an awesome supporter buddy, you're a gem to have around and I'm glad you'll be here for this latest adventure. P.S. I love that I will just forever associate that frog with you now. 👌
@@MissieMae You're most welcome, Missie. Going on adventures with you through the wastelands of the Fallout universe is always an enjoyable experience, and has helped get me through some difficult times in the past. How you manage to make a dark, post-apocalyptic world so sweet, cute, and light-hearted, I don't know. But I'm so glad to have your content as a regular part of my life again. You call me a "gem." Well, I say it takes one to know one! 😉🤗 P.S.: And I will forever remember you as the one who 'frogged' me! 😅 I never would have found him without you!
Welcome back! I'm so excited for this because this is going to be the most unique Fallout 4 playthrough that isn't a gimmick run and I think your personality is REALLY going to shine through in the main story.
You are one of my favourite UA-camrs, and suddenly discovering, just now, that you've started a FO4 Lets Play has made my morning! The last several days have been pretty awful at a personal level, and currently, since opportunity has allowed, I'm trying to distract myself and just chill. Coming across this series could not have happened at a better time, especially since I genuinely love FO4. I'll be very curious to see how your travels go, and I very much hope you end up enjoying your journey. :)
I'm glad to have you here and I hope life gets easier for you. Hang in there and keep fighting, in the mean time I'm happy to help a little bit by making my funny internet videos. :)
I’m so excited for this playthrough :D Fallout 4 is my all time favorite game! And btw if you want to get achievements there’s a mod to make achievements enabled:)
I love this. I've played this game so many times and I enjoy watching it on here as well. My other subscriptions haven't made a video on it in years so it's great to have some fresh videos popping up. Especially from someone that's pleasant to listen to. Subscribed for sure, I hope it's a long series!
You have an incredibly lovely voice and personality that hooked me into watching this series. I love how immersed and emotionally invested you get. The way you express yourself gets me to empathize with you, and that gets ME emotionally invested. I wouldn't have even minded if you took time to tweak your character in the character creator.
Miss you Missie. I hope your doing well. And hope your able to come back someday. I've been out of the loop. I know you were dealing with some personal things. Be well Missie! 😸🌻
RETURN OF THE QUEEN FO4 is absolutely not as well written as New Vegas was but its still a damn good time! Glad to see you back, Mae! Try not to let any monorails get blown up eh?
It was so awesome watching your first reaction to the intro. It’s been so long for me, but you got so into it. I guess Bethesda knew how to write a scene!
Thank you for this walk through! I'm actually starting the Fallout TTRPG soon and know nothing about the lore so I'm watching this as prep. We have very similar personalities so I feel like I'm going through the game myself!
Fun start, I like the personality you bring to the game. I've never seen you until right now but I'll definitely be watching more. Quick tip: unlike other Fallout games, you are going to need to loot more junk in this one, so don't be too quick to walk past toasters, hot plates, and, well, just about everything. You'll learn what you need the most as time goes on, but I suggest carrying too much, for now, rather than too little.
Good luck with that copyright strike; I didn’t feel like the video was invasive in anyway and I love the new outro music! The new mechanics were soooo hard for me to get used to as well. You are not alone!

Oh boy I've been looking forward to this ever since the New Vegas playthrough ended
I love this game! 1000+ hours and was recommended this video! Love your enthusiasm and super excited to relive the Fallout 4 experience with you!
I love seeing blind playthroughs in the Fallout and Elder Scrolls universes. They are getting rare, and this is a blast! Thank you, great video.
Welcome back Missie, looking forward to see Boston through your eyes
Either Missie's gonna love this game or she's gonna be completely disappointed. Here's hoping for love.
It's fair to feel both ways. Without any spoilers, Fallout 4 is a fun Bethesda where if you want to just explore and mindlessly shoot, then she will have a great time. If it's for the story, mileage may vary depending on expectations.
Yeah. I saw a lot of stuff coming, I’m curious how obvious it is to others.
Then, she play fallout vr. She will spend days to make it playable.
@@TheOnlyBongo Fallout 4's story is one of the best in the series.
I must admit every time I start a new play through the opening sequence always gets to me and brings a tear to my eyes
There's a mod for replacing the dialogue wheel with the original dialogue boxes from 3 and NV, you aren't the only one who isn't a fan of it. Nice to see you finally start this playthrough!
I love that mod, it is a must have for me when I play this game.
It's good to have you back Missie, I hope you enjoy this game.
39:35 Still amazed to this day that they added a sound effect of a bullet casing hitting the floor when he's using a revolver.
AAA i loved you nv series so much can’t wait to see how this one turns out!
Fallout 4 honestly is my favorite fallout the weapons the graphics the perks it's all beautiful and the story is easy to follow
Like Vera Keys says... "Begin again"
Excited for the new series :D
I recently got into Fallout 4 because my dad was also into Fallout 4, and he told me that this was the best Fallout game in his opinion, and I can agree!
I've made several playthroughs of FO4. The one moment that gets me everytime is when you first rise from the Vault. The world of Fallout 4 is there for you to explore, all unknown. Same feeling when exiting the cave of Helgen in Skyrim. Bethesda is fully aware of these moments and designs them for full dramatic effect. Todd Howard has stated there will be two such moments in Starfield.
Except Skyrim is just a little bit better. Though I've been getting bored with it lately, Fallout has been at the top of my interest lmao.
Fun fact but scientists say if this was to happen it would be a lot of overgrown plants and not as sparse as the game.
Can’t wait!
Thank you so much, I've been in a really really horrible place (mentally) recently and I think I found just the series to make me feel better. I hope you have a nice rest of your day!
The Blue hazy eyes looked like the Walking Dead. 12:50
I would like them so much if they weren't quite so pale and quite so blood shot... you're right it's kind of eerie!
@@MissieMae Looking forward to your vids! Happy Gaming!
Just keep being you!
loved the New Vegas series. It's very hard to find ones like it (long form, blind, and complete). Please keep the episodes coming and have fun!
So glad to see this in my sub box. Been watching through the New Vegas playlist for the past few months and really enjoyed it. Having a live play through to enjoy is even better!
I finally got here in time to see the entire playthrough from the start :D.
Thanks so much! Glad you found the channel & I hope you like both series! :)
So happy you're finally playing this. Can't wait to see what antics you get up to in the commonwealth.
The beginning had me. "This looks cute." BOOM! Boston gets nuked. 😆😆😆
I've spend hundred of hours playing this game, but I enjoyed every second watching your blind playthrough. Thank you so much for this !
Fallout 4 is definitely one of my favorite games as taboo as that may sound I can't stop myself from loving it! I also can't wait to see you play through this game and explore the wasteland as well as its weird charms. I can't wait for this series and I'm glad to see you back in the action.
YAAY!! So happy, Hope you have as much fun playing it as I did, cant wait to watch every episode.
Nice to see you back you'll find that "junk" is far more useful in this game than the other fallout games.
Awesome! Welcome back lol I'm looking forward to this playthrough. Can't wait to see your settlements haha
So pumped to see Mae start another fallout probably my favorite UA-camr to watch play the series!!
Oh heck yee, I watched your Fallout 3 videos for a time and I've been binging Fallout 4 videos on youtube lately so perfect timing! Subbed, I definitely want to see this
It's happening! Can't wait for this to become a instent classic
I JUST finished your New Vegas playthrough! I was so sad to see it come to an end.
"is it Todd, does he want me to buy Skyrim again?"
I didn't expect that, and for my unpreparedness I paid in chuckles
If you get tired of that terrible dialog wheel, there's a mod that changes it to the menu from the old games where you can actually read what your character is gonna say before you choose the option. Doesn't change any of the dialog or anything, just brings it more in line with the previous games.
#MissieMae This was a small but significant game changer for me! Its not perfect, but you can see the words before they are said.
This game is kind of weird and awkward, but also fun and kind of charming. Really glad to see a play through of it.
Best FO let's play I have seen in years. Subscribed. :)
Wow, thank you! That's a big compliment for me, glad to have you along new friend! :)
This is my second time watching this series.
Love it! Thanks so much.
Been waiting so long great to see you back!!!
😁
Hooray, glad to see you are back
Fun Fact: The newscaster guy on TV was Fallout narrator alum Ron Pearlman
"I get a husband!?" Yeah, well for about 10 minutes, but yeah you do.
omg Roy it's too soon!!! 😢
I’m so glad I found this video, I’m excited for you. I discovered this game last year and I became immediately obsessed
ahh i remember my first time playing this game and the music of course nostalgia!!!
I'm glad UA-cam recommended your channel. Can't wait to binge watch your videos!!!😄
I’m so excited for this playthrough :D
Fallout 4 is my all time favorite game!
Great to watch someone play a game that I love so much. Spent many hours playing this game. Great job!
OH MY GOD ITS FINALLY HERE IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS I LOVE THIS GAME ❤️❤️❤️

Let's ignore the fact that's she's able to use V.A.T.S. despite not having the Pipboy yet
Miss you Missie. I hope your doing well. And hope your able to come back someday.
I've been out of the loop. I know you were dealing with some personal things. Be well Missie! 😸🌻
Very excited to join you from the beginning! :D excited to see you encounter such things as : REDACTED
RETURN OF THE QUEEN
FO4 is absolutely not as well written as New Vegas was but its still a damn good time! Glad to see you back, Mae!
Try not to let any monorails get blown up eh?
It was so awesome watching your first reaction to the intro. It’s been so long for me, but you got so into it. I guess Bethesda knew how to write a scene!
Nice to see you no youtube again welcome back. :D
Thank you so much!! You have no idea how happy I am to be back 😁
Thank you for this walk through! I'm actually starting the Fallout TTRPG soon and know nothing about the lore so I'm watching this as prep. We have very similar personalities so I feel like I'm going through the game myself!
Even though I don’t particularly like fallout 4 much compared to the others I’m sure you’ll make it interesting though ❤️
Comment For Engagement!!!!
Woo!!! Fallout 4 is finally here!!!🎉🎊🥳
Yay! Hope you like it Emily! 😁💕
@@MissieMae I really did, great work!👍❤️
Good luck with that copyright strike; I didn’t feel like the video was invasive in anyway and I love the new outro music! The new mechanics were soooo hard for me to get used to as well. You are not alone!
