I had a lot of respect for him as I'm sure all of us did, but to not own up and answer your question...I lost a lot of respect for him tonight! That's it!
Not sure what i would do without the walk and talk Trey. Thanks for doing these even when times are as tough as they are right now. Hopefully the OC hire and other staff changes are what is needed.
You nailed it when you said this season was a waste of time. That’s the way I’ve felt and I just didn’t know it til you said it. I feel betrayed as a fan. I, and others, plan things around games and make sacrifices to watch and then get a 4-8 season. Everyone deserves better than what we got this season and the frustrating part is I’m not real confident that it’s gonna be any better next year. Like you said, we’re not asking for much, just don’t embarrass us. That’s exactly what happened this year, embarrassment.
Trey, thanks always for your walk-n-talk. You speak for so many of us long-time Arkansas fans. You asked, are our expectations too high? I have the same struggle, here’s a couple of things that gave me some clarity. First, I’m a Sam Pittman supporter, however, he went after the money and now ranks 22nd as far as college football salaries, so I expect at least a top 25 team. Second- I pulled historical stats from sports reference website of the colleges who have had programs for at least 40 years and did a ranking of overall winning percentages. Out of 125 colleges, Arkansas ranked 39th, with BYU and Colgate bordering us, with an overall winning percentage of 58%. We’re at least decent, but historically it seems we can expect Arkansas to win just a bit more games than they play. I then pulled bowl appearances- Arkansas ranks 18th, very cool, except our winning percentage in bowls is 42%. So we can expect Arkansas to lose more bowl games than they win. It’s sobering stats, but at least has helped clarify some of my expectations.

What do we have to look forward to? Well, next year will be a repeat of this year. I have been an Ark. supporter all my life, even though I have lived in Georgia for the past 22 yrs. When I look back over the past 10+ yrs. and see the records the Hogs have had, I am just about to the point of directing my interest towards Georgia. There's been a few years where Ark. did well, but they always counted out of conference games. When you look within the SEC, they haven't performed very well. Maybe it's time for them to get out of the SEC. It seems as though they will never get to the point that they are competitive with the big boys.
I moved to Houston about a year ago. I’m embarrassed to wear my hog gear out. Went up to Austin for the first time recently and was shocked how much the area reminded me of Fayetteville, albeit a big city version. I went on game day and longhorn fans were so nice to me, the lone fool wearing a razorback. That and them moving to the SEC is tempting. I completely understand how you feel.
I think that's tantamount to giving up, and in return you'll likely find that Arkansas ain't that much better in whatever conference they move to, either. I think that notion of "leaving the SEC = success" is SEC bias talking, and there are a whole lot of really good teams outside of the SEC that would've beat the bricks off this year's Arkansas team any day of the week. Sure, we're not Bama or Georgia or LSU, etc., but there's no reason we shouldn't be competitive against the like of Ole Miss, Miss St., Mizzou, and so on. This program is a punchline to a joke. Alabama has more championship trophies in cases than Arkansas has 10 second highlights from relevant games going back 50 years.

Auburn fan here, so please don’t destroy me, because I promise I know what we are right now, but Pittman ain’t it. I was SHOCKED when y’alls AD gave him the vote of confidence the other day.
Living in St. Louis I opted to go to the Blues Predators game in hopes of seeing a better game than the Arkansas game. Ended up watching the Blues lose 8-3. Oh and my Seahawks got walloped by 49ers. Safe to say this weekend wasn’t a good week for my teams.
Thank u trey 4 what you do we will miss you til nxt yr. Take care I do not know what our program here is gonna do it was hard to watch this game today wow
If Sam refuses to fire Kennedy he can NOT be retained. Last year it was the strength coach’s fault we couldn’t block Liberty and Missouri State. This year it’s the NIL 🤨
Man let me find out there will be an open tryout somewhere. I’d love to take a lineman’s spot. 6’5 301 rn, played in the IFL last year. & never really played big time college ball due to not taking care of academics. But I got myself together at coffeyville cc before I got burned out from school. Ima look to see if I got any eligibility left cause it’s torture watching this mess! These guys gotta golden opportunity to do what I didn’t do, & not ceasing the opportunity 😑 you only get 4 years to play & can’t afford to waste that time
Trey, CSP pretty much dismissed you for your first question. Haven't ever seen him do something like that. He better find that mojo pretty damn fast. This was ANOTHER "Pound us in the #%$ prison beating" (see Office Space) Kennedy Kicked Kurb asap for starters. Fountain Found on that same Kurb.
Pittman's worst mistake was hiring Enos and his slowed down, grinding out, predictable offensive style of play. Bielema ball revisited and Pitt should have known better. Tempo, tempo, tempo.
Oh Trey Biddy, Bam A Lam. Love my Razorbacks but this was a bad season in spite of all the expectations of a 8 and 4 or a 9 and 3. Now we're really gonna have to rebuild. Go Hogs and I love the Walk N Talk. See ya next year, Trey.
I'm disappointed and searching for answers just like everyone else. I'm confused about HY's decision to retain Pittman. I recall the year Nutt went 4-7 and how disappointed I was that he was retained. I went back to look at the next season and was surprised to see that he had a 10-2 regular season and played Florida in the SEC championship. You described Mizzou's turnaround this year after being 6-7 last season. We're left with hoping we find a quality OC, making the necessary changes with the coaching staff, holding onto our recruiting class and do well in the portal.
Thanks for the W&T Trey. Had to wait a day before watching. It was just too much yesterday. If there was ever a time for a W&T with no Talk, this was it. Just a walk. The silence would've said it all. The wheels have come off. There's not much to say. We really are that bad. Tolerating mediocrity will guarantee you get more of it. Do we even have an AD?
I hate that Arkansas is in this situation. I love the Razorbacks and always will. I live in Missouri and hope Arkansas can turn it around like Mizzou did.
@@chrisjudd6 Arkansas came to the SEC for the football money. It was the right thing to do. Look at how all the sports facilities have improved in the last 30 years.
It's about mindset. “Gentlemen, we will relentlessly chase perfection, and we will chase it RELENTLESSLY, knowing all the while we can never attain it. But along the way, we shall catch excellence. I have no interest in just being good.” Vince Lombardi
Trey, you really musta pissed pittman off. He shuts you down in the interview and then has them lock you in the stadium. Really struck a chord with your question😂😂
As long as Sam Pittman is HC, Chumlee Kennedy is O Line coach I am done w/ razorback football. The board of trustees are as much to blame as Enos, HY & everyone else. Next year get ready for another thrilling 4 win season w/ another horrible O Line, & maybe 10K in the stands to watch this garage fire. Sam has set this program back 8-10 years. Im done. If Sam, HY, & THE BOT doesn't take football seriously then why should anyone support mediocrity?
As a hog fan you have to appreciate the effort and the insight Trey gives after every game on the walk and talk. I'm posting this on Saturday because I was really too bummed out after the game to post and needed some time to reflect. In a way In the back of my mind I saw this type of game unfolding, but not quite as bad. This was a really ugly loss, but if you go back and look at the game you can see how it happened with KJ going out on the first offensive play and 5 turnovers, a gassed defense from being on the field too long, an O-Line that puts up as much resistance as air, it all adds up to one ugly loss
I watch every walk and talk and just love Trey and his love for Razorback football. I have been behind Sam until just lately and I just don't think he has any fire to lead this great state's football team. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I can't remember him ever talking about the great fans and appreciating their support. I'm an oldie and Frank used to talk about the fans like we were part of the success of the Razorbacks. Sam is too defensive about media questions and such as that and I'm growing very tired of it. I felt sorry for him and then I thought, I'd be happy to take several million and retire so no more sorrow for him. I'm not looking forward to next season under his guidance and that's sad. He's just running a daycare up there, not a college football team. Sorry Sam, you're not the man for the job in my eyes.
Ik LR is a controversial topic but I call our bad play at home Karma. I remember the first game in Fayetteville the football media posted first game at home. They would go on to struggle to beat Kent st and only beat FIU at home
You're exactly right. The fans who bemoans Little Rock are the same fans who fails to show up in Fayetteville. Northwest Arkansas has the most fair weathered fans I've ever seen.
@@mastersniperjinx yeah. Fayetteville is nice dong get me wrong but a lot of the people there are entitled. I brought that point up because they don’t understand the history and importance of LR to anyone not from the northern part of the state. I agree the stadium is in bad shape etc but I thought it was a slap in the face to fans that really care for LR by basically calling it a road game. We’ve gotten our teeth kicked in two games in a row at home smh. I’m not counting FIU because that’s supposed to be a free win
I dont know how in the hell anyone cant see how detrimental this shitty o-line has been for the team. Theres been other issues but jesus, the line can't protect anyone.
3 things have to happen here! 1. Find 3-4 not great but solid O-Lineman.. However it gets done doesn’t matter. FIND THEM! 2. Find an OC that can adapt to the talent we have! A great OC don’t have to have elite players across the board to put up pts. There are good 1’s out there! Find 1 and pay him well! 3. Find 2-3 ELITE Playmakers on both side of the ball and pay them well to Come here! Be competitive! Maybe easier said than done but if there’s a will there’s a way. It can happen! Thanx Trey for the Walk & Talks! They have been the highlight of this season.
Been in Northwest Arkansas for 20 years. Missouri grad and fan first. Arkansas fan second. Stating the obvious you’re probably to most people, but everybody’s gotta embrace the NIL and the transfer portal and make the changes necessary to maximize the benefits and minimize the costs out of those institutions that are part of college football now. Complaining about them or not embracing them only gives your opponents a competitive advantage over you. The Arkansas campus and the athletic facilities in the stadium in the game day atmosphere is second to none in the SEC. It’s a great environment on game day and the music and vibe of the whole stadium whether winning or losing is really good and positive. That being said Arkansas has got to get the right coaches in here and staff and boosters to come around the program and make sure everything is taken care of. Since the Razorbacks are the professional team of the State of Arkansas It seems like monetarily Supporting and funding the program and the NIL should not be a problem. So that the football team is on par with all the other sports that are world class at the University. I hope the powers that be can come together here shortly, and put together a team and strategy to ensure the success of the football Razorbacks in light of the NIL and the transfer portal and the new SEC where there will not be divisions. I think Missouri has already embraced some of this stuff. But the game day atmosphere in the Missouri stadium is not on par with Arkansas and I’ve been going to games in Columbia MO since 1973, so Arkansas does have a lot of positivity already in place. So keep going and get this program to the next level. It’s not a total rebuild because you have a bunch of stuff in place in my opinion.
I was deer hunting, couldn't watch the game. But the stats are strange. How did MO score 48 points on 370 total yards, 5.8 ypp?? Also, doesn't it feel like Mizzou got good without anyone noticing? A 10-2 season in the SEC is seriously impressive. Do they just recruit over their head?
My nephews live in Arkansas I live in Louisville they've loved the Hogs since kids so I've kept up with Arkansas since early 80s, Saw Bo Jackson and Arkansas in Liberty Bowl many years ago, went to Little Rock stadium Nutts first year never forget the lights going out that night, Went to Tennessee with one of my nefews what a game that was unbelievable hitting by Arkansas they layed the wood to Tennessee that night, Kenoy Kennedy was his name I think what a hitter, can't believe the fumble. Coach Nutt was awesome fans didn't know what they had at the time Coach Nutt was one of those guys who could possibly beat anyone, He got more out of his players. Look what Jeff Brohm has done with 31 players from portal at Louisville it can be done in one season. Arkansas has to become relevant again. With SMU going into ACC where they can get into 12 team playoff easier, this could become problematic to Arkansas for talent.
I thought the question that you asked was reasonable. How is coach Pittman going to turn the program around? I don't think he understood the question. Ask it again on Mondays press brief without HY name. I support him and the program, how is it going to be turned around. Great job Trey.
Trey, I feel for you man. Having to report on this team for your job. I’m in my mid 40s, like you. I’ve all but given up on this football program. I hate to say it but my Saturday’s are too valuable to spend them watching this bullshit. Onward to basketball and baseball. Sports we can compete in.
Season been a waste of time. Trey you nailed it right there. Time non of us will ever get back. Maybe I’ll feel different come August 2024. For now though , I’m done wasting my time on Arkansas Football.
It's a disgrace that Sam Pittman hasn't been fired already. Throwing a couple extra million towards NIL because they don't want to pay the money it takes to hire a qualified head coach. The university knows Pittman wouldn't even be a head coach anywhere else but they still keep him around. The athletic department is digging the football program's grave by keeping Pittman around another year.
Yes, and he takes no responsibility or shows any embarrassment for his lack of being able to generate any kind of adjustment, or motivation. What is wrong with the administration. Sam is a joke as head coach for any college team.
What does it for me to show Pittman isn’t the guy is that he knew the OLine was atrocious in the BYU game and never got close to fixing it through 9 games… As a coach when see this critical component as such a failure in your wheelhouse, you fix it. He brought a butter knife to a sword fight in his correction attempt and never fixed it. This shows in my mind he isn’t the coach. In SEC you can’t half arse a fix for such a large issue. Even before BYU if he was such a savant at line position he had to see it or he isn’t a good coach, right(?)
The walk and talks have been 100x more enjoyable than the actual football!
Sad but True
I’d rather listen to the W&T than the post game.
Barry Odom held this program together for 3 years
No lies detected. I believe it distracted him running the defense IMO
Barry Odom held this team together for 3 years? Apparently more than most folks know...including Hunter Yurachek!
It could be said that Barry Odom was the head coach
Our defenses were terrible under Barry so your point doesn’t make sense. He’s winning in a conference that no one cares about

Cody Kennedy MUST go. He is terrible and others must be shown the door also.

I watched the score updates from the deer stand. It didn’t suck as bad as watching them play like crap. I think that’s what I will do next season. Take up archery and that will cover most of football season. 😂
I was in a deer stand also. Much better than watching or listening to the game.
I didn’t get one but it was still more enjoyable than watching hog game.
@@atomicmtbiker8159 amen
Boy n girls this was the worst O line. In Arkansas history a crying shame.
Auburn fan here, so please don’t destroy me, because I promise I know what we are right now, but Pittman ain’t it. I was SHOCKED when y’alls AD gave him the vote of confidence the other day.
I wanted Freeze during the 2019 coaching search.
@@alexshearer3227 it would have been the right move, if possible at the time, for sure
So were we :/
We know it's pathetic thank you for your sympathy 😊
Arkansas should have hired Norvell in 2017. All I got.
I'm not giving another dime until Pittman stops selling his BULLCRAP and learns how to coach!
Feels like we’re watching the Louisiana mud dawgs before Bobby B showed up… keep rockin it Trey
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why we aren't firing Sunbelt Sam
Thank u trey 4 what you do we will miss you til nxt yr. Take care I do not know what our program here is gonna do it was hard to watch this game today wow
Good coordinators can turn 2 and 3 star recruits into great players. Especially on the oline
Uh good coordinators don’t come to Arkansas 😂😂😂😂
If Sam refuses to fire Kennedy he can NOT be retained. Last year it was the strength coach’s fault we couldn’t block Liberty and Missouri State. This year it’s the NIL 🤨
Man let me find out there will be an open tryout somewhere. I’d love to take a lineman’s spot. 6’5 301 rn, played in the IFL last year. & never really played big time college ball due to not taking care of academics. But I got myself together at coffeyville cc before I got burned out from school. Ima look to see if I got any eligibility left cause it’s torture watching this mess! These guys gotta golden opportunity to do what I didn’t do, & not ceasing the opportunity 😑 you only get 4 years to play & can’t afford to waste that time
Trey. Thanks for all the walk and talks this season. As frustrating as it was. I always turn to your walk and talks. Appreciate you
Trey, CSP pretty much dismissed you for your first question. Haven't ever seen him do something like that. He better find that mojo pretty damn fast. This was ANOTHER "Pound us in the #%$ prison beating" (see Office Space)
Kennedy Kicked Kurb asap for starters.
Fountain Found on that same Kurb.
Pittman's worst mistake was hiring Enos and his slowed down, grinding out, predictable offensive style of play.
Bielema ball revisited and Pitt should have known better.
Tempo, tempo, tempo.
Trey, thank you for the walk and talk. I will miss it.
Thanks Trey, keep asking the tough questions!
Thanks Trey! I always enjoy the W&T!
This game should be the nail in the coffin
Thanks for grinding out the Walk and Talks for us this season Trey. Now we can all speculate about our team until kickoff next season. Woo Pig.
I hate this say Arkansas has mostly been in the situation since joining SEC.
@@chrisjudd6 Arkansas came to the SEC for the football money. It was the right thing to do. Look at how all the sports facilities have improved in the last 30 years.
Who would have thought our Oline would be this bad in year 4 of Sam Pittman??
It's about mindset. “Gentlemen, we will relentlessly chase perfection, and we will chase it RELENTLESSLY, knowing all the while we can never attain it. But along the way, we shall catch excellence. I have no interest in just being good.” Vince Lombardi
since there's no off season i wish trey had extended this walk and talk long enough to cover 2 games
This is a beautiful video thank you
I loved the comment that this season was a complete waste of time. That’s how we all feel.
Idc what anyone says Sam Pittman should be f*cking fired!
10 year extension
In the SEC If you do not have a legit o line and d line WITH DEPTH Pack it up and go to the house
Yeah, hiring a new OC is going to fix all this, sure… why not!!! 🤔🤐🤮
If the O-Line was even remotely mediocre..this would be a bowl eligible team.
I dont know how in the hell anyone cant see how detrimental this shitty o-line has been for the team. Theres been other issues but jesus, the line can't protect anyone.
@@redfan1912 Did you notice the offensive line tended to commit a significant number of penalties on critical drives?
When kj had time to throw the ball he overthrew or under threw the wr. I think he sabotage the season on purpose. He did not like Enos.
@@perniciouspete4986 seemed to happen often this season. Embarrassing honestly
the game against LSU is a good example
Mizzou fan here..... this is so fun to watch. Could you film this on Mizzou's field after the game next year?
I'm afraid we'll just see more of this going into next season
3 things have to happen here! 1. Find 3-4 not great but solid O-Lineman.. However it gets done doesn’t matter. FIND THEM! 2. Find an OC that can adapt to the talent we have! A great OC don’t have to have elite players across the board to put up pts. There are good 1’s out there! Find 1 and pay him well! 3. Find 2-3 ELITE Playmakers on both side of the ball and pay them well to
Come here!
You must appreciate the fact that Sam knows how to handle losing with so much grace. May the power of I don't know stay with him
I was deer hunting, couldn't watch the game. But the stats are strange. How did MO score 48 points on 370 total yards, 5.8 ypp?? Also, doesn't it feel like Mizzou got good without anyone noticing? A 10-2 season in the SEC is seriously impressive. Do they just recruit over their head?
My nephews live in Arkansas I live in Louisville they've loved the Hogs since kids so I've kept up with Arkansas since early 80s, Saw Bo Jackson and Arkansas in Liberty Bowl many years ago, went to Little Rock stadium Nutts first year never forget the lights
going out that night,
Went to Tennessee with one of my nefews what a game that was unbelievable hitting by Arkansas they layed the wood to Tennessee that night,
Kenoy Kennedy was his name I think what a hitter, can't believe the fumble.
Coach Nutt was awesome fans didn't know what they had at the time Coach Nutt was one of those guys who could possibly beat anyone,
He got more out of his players.
Pittman doesn’t have to deal with a hostile media like many d1 coaches, but he gets 1 question that is about accountability and he becomes a jackass.
I said earlier in the season that they would give Sam one more year.
How are you gonna get momentum going into the off season?
"I don't know" -Sam Pittman
Trey, I feel for you man. Having to report on this team for your job. I’m in my mid 40s, like you. I’ve all but given up on this football program. I hate to say it but my Saturday’s are too valuable to spend them watching this bullshit.
Onward to basketball and baseball. Sports we can compete in.
The fighting by the players is a mark of an undisciplined team and the coaches are to blame for that!!
Thanks a ton Trey. May be time for boosters to force change by withholding $$$.
