For some reason all the comments here are really bothering me as lots and lots of people keep referring to Little Dragon as simply Yukimi herself. She's wonderful, her vocals are amazing, but the music is sublime at the very least. Just feel like there should be an acknowledgment of the entire band as after all, Little Dragon IS the band. Rant over, I have yet to find a Little Dragon tune I do not fall in love with

a "band" doesn't create nearly 100% synthesized music to support lead singer vocals. this is a group of people who create instrument loops mixed with synthesized sounds to get a rhythm that sounds modern to support unique vocals by this lead singer which is the branding factor for this band. if one or more of the members of her supporting band are writing the songs, then they can get song writing credits, but millions of musicians could produce these sounds to support the singing she's doing or the lyrics that she's probably most likely writing.
Douglas Jones actually all the guys are producers, they first compose their own melodies and then Yukimi writes lyrics for their songs, music comes first and lyrics afterwards, I've seen them telling so in many interviews, these guys are brilliant musicians and they're definitely a band.
I'm going to get technical here but this is the sort of band that isn't played by the radio that much of ever. it's a joke. so because most people have never heard it I wouldn't class it as underrated. you can't rate a band if you've never heard them. we are the lucky ones.

Yea wtf was that?? The whole band is incredibly talented and I've had a hell of a time enjoying all their albums, re-watching the Little Man (Yours Truly) video over and over again, playing all the live performances I could find just to listen for the most subtle changes their playing - just incredible talent. And then I stumbled upon a list of singles I didn't recognize - and found this, and another song made for a Cartier campaign.
That product placement enabled them to release a great song with a great video. I only just found these guys, but I really like what I'm hearing. One new fan for Little Dragon. Wouldn't mind going for one of those cocktails right now too ;)

The ad consists only of about 2 minutes worth of this video and especially the part where they show the product. you can read about it if you google Little Dragon absolut Vodka commercial.I might also add that Yukimi is so cute in this video I would like to just throw her down and lick her, she could even leave the dress on, well, sort of. ;-)

This is a Billy Squier "video killed the radio star" moment. Some real bad judgement here with the LD agent, Absolut and the band members. There are so many ways to promote a brand or integrate it into a band's good will and loyal following. This is a case study on how not to do that. Plus, the video production quality and art direction is real amateur. Looks like a low bid production crew in a rental van jetted to the closest desert near LA, equipped with their Canon 5D rigs and shot, yet another, band lip syncing in the desert video. After Janet Jackson / Herb Ritts did it with "Love Will Never" . . . no one else should bother. LD, you are better than this. Message me . . . I will produce your next video at no charge. I own a studio and care deeply about your music and craft.
