Jami, if you want to blanket YOUR horses then that is what you should do. The operative word being "Your." You have gracefully and lovingly taken on a larger portion of the horse care and they are your babies. We love them and you love them.
It is shocking to me that anyone could criticize this woman after seeing how much love is being given to these horses. It was very sweet seeing Storm giving hugs & getting reassurance that she needed because of the scary blanket. Also what was the grunting sound in the barn when the gate was being closed? It sounded kinda like a 🐷
I just Love you Jami. You are great with the horses. You are living my best life. You and I are so much alike. Except I am 67 years old and never could afford to have a horse. But watching you brings me great joy. You are a wonderful person. Just want you to forget the haters. I Love you and all your horses.
Jami I’m in tears for you. We all know how much you’ve been through this past year. Thank you for showing everyone what courage, strength, patience, and unconditional love for animals you have. You and the animals became a team and together got blankets on to stay warm. We are all survivors of something love my farm family❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bucee's is a sweetheart! VooDoo calmed down after moving him to a different stall❤ Prim is a Beautiful horse! Storm had to give Mama a kiss to say Thank you for the warmth❤ Jami you are amazing ❤❤
Most people don’t realize the temperature variation in Texas. It doesn’t give horses time to develop a winter coat like horses in the north. Love watching you with the horses
Prim has stolen my heart, not that the other babies hadn't already. But Prim is so gentle. All I can think of when I heard her name was a Prim Rose ! Love seeing your love and patience with them and you willingness to "Woman up" to get it done ! Love you girl !! ❤
Jami it's YOUR horses and you do what you want with YOUR horses and it's YOUR decision no one else's!!!!!! Loved when Buckee shook his head yes when you asked about cookies ❤️
Jami, the looks on the horses faces says it all! 🥰 They love you and trust you and know that you are doing everything in your power to keep them safe, comfortable and happy!😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️
I love your patience, kindness, and high level of concern to being aware of the horses reaction. I just love horses, I'm so jealous. Fun fact, the Budwiezer Clydesdales are in Bakersfield for Parade. In the article they featured one of them. He is Old Red the biggest one of them at 18.3 and 2100 lbs. He eats the highest quality of hay and some grain they mentioned as being a Purina brand. Thought this was interesting. He's one of 11 here. Very exciting though there here at the Sept fair. So beautiful to see in person. And love you put Dixies blanket on one of them, honoring her and she would be proud to have passed it on. Blessings to you, kisses for the horses.
Oh Jami I love the horses so much, Prim was so calm, poor Storm bless her heart I wonder sometimes about her past she gets spooked often she's precious, Bucees he's so darling, Voo he's my #1 man he makes me smile often, shoot Jami I love each one the same and Roman he's just special, hugs and love always
The horses sure do love you! It warms my heart to see you with them. December is a hard month for people like me who suffer from depression! The lack of light seems to bother me! The horses make me laugh! The blankets are so cute on them . Thank you and Lester for all you do to brighten my days. Love you both!
I have the depression battle too. I am lucky enough to finally after 30 years to be off of medication and doing 95% better than when I was on the meds.
Hi Jamie., what beautiful horses. Blanket timeforthe horses.Rita can be difficult. Prim will be interesting as she’s new. So wishing you good luck and maybe some help from Lester?👍. Roman may be ok without a blanket as he’s from the north. Prim is beautiful. One boy done now for the other, Vudu. He’s gorgeous in the star blanket.❤️👍 Stormy is next and a little nervous. Good luck with Rita’s blanket.❤️❤️👍
You need to say easy. Not whoa. I do l❤ your horses so much! Thank you for sharing your❤ & care & knowledge you are learning everyday. Be safe & warm dear Jami! I"m so thankful that you have the courage to continue to love Senorita even after all she put you through! Enjoy the special moments with your herd. Have you ever thought of adding stalls/ extending the barn?
Good morning Jami it is cold and i agree with you horses that are not use to colder weather needs a blanket at night Im originally from Montana and my Uncle Jack bought a horse (i was about 8yrs old) she was a Morgan from Texas during the summer and he didn't realize she wasn't use to the colder climate and she froze to death during the winter it was really sad lesson he had to learn tempatures in Montana can get to -40 below zero
Jami you have enough posts in their barn to double tie which gives you more stability. They can’t move their heads as much and let’s them know you mean business. Please try this
That's a good one Jami. I think that "woman up" is alot stronger than "man up". After all, we all know if you want something done right, you have a woman do it.
Good morning Jami, I know you are a person who doesn’t make a fuss, but that took true courage to blanket up those horses after what happened and the pain and hospital visits. You are awesome, most people would not have done that again after what happened. So bravo to you and your courage, please take care!
Prim is so patient and trusting for being the newest member. They are all patient though. On a side note, the side of the barn yall closed up looks great.
All of your horses and your animals missed you when you went away on your business trip. All if the horses in there eye's missed you. Lester did amazing job taking care of everyone!! ❤❤❤❤
Jami I get nervous for you working around the horses…they are so big and powerful the littlest things can spoke them you are so strong and brave getting the blankets on them ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes, just sew straps on it and it should work although it wouldn’t be waterproof so that would be a problem so he would have to stay in his barn or sorry his Colosseum!!!!😂 ❤❤❤🙌🏻
Soooo very proud of you Jamie for facing your fears with Rita. That's not easy. You do an amazing job with them. Hopefully storm doesn't decide now that she's nice and warm it's a good idea to go for a swim.
Hoping you see this. I love watching you with all the animals. Brings back many memories of my youth interacting with the animals on our farm. Miss those days. Am 78 now so it’s been a long time you just bring me smiles and good feeling. Thanks for sharing with me.
Good Morning beautiful Jami 🌻. I love this video, they all look at you with that look "Thank you Momma". Buccees answering you with his head nods, always kills me, I love him. Thank you for always spending your time with us. Hope your Thursday is uneventful! Love ya'll ❤
We had light blankets and heavy sheep lined winter blankets….and of course the fly sheets in the summer and all had to be taken to a big machine laundromat.🤦♂️
Prim has such a sweet demeanor. Jami you are truly a Mommy Horse caretaker. You did a great job placing their blankets on each horse. They all look beautiful!!
Love a longer video from you Jami. I think your horses are calmed by your voice and demeanour. I like the more colourful blankets. Yes, Voodoo is a ⭐️ in my humble opinion. Take care. 🇨🇦❤️🙋🏼♀️🇨🇦
Im so glad that you are still loving Rita ... And facing your fears. Although i completely understand.. my heart and face got hurt by a dog . . . Long story short i have never been the same but still love and respect dogs ... I even own two .. but now i have more boundaries then i really expected. Great job with all your horse babies .
I'd put on one of Lex's football helmets just til I saw how the two horses did the first time this year to protect all the work you had done. Just in case. I'm scared for you. Prayers said.❤❤❤❤
Glad they all took that well, well enough at least. 💖❤💘💝💓I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!!! Have a great evening!!!
I live in Alabama and I usually only blanket in temps in the teens or raining and in lower temps , the reason I don't unless it's in the teens or raining is because they may get sweaty and then get cold , if they're dry they typically stay warmer then blanketing, but by all means follow your vets advice 😊

I love the colour you put on Prim - I recognized it - Dixie is probably up there nodding her agreement with whom you put the coat on
I love that color. On Prim. That is one of my favorite colors.
Jami I’m in tears for you. We all know how much you’ve been through this past year. Thank you for showing everyone what courage, strength, patience, and unconditional love for animals you have. Couldn't have said it better. Such courage❤❤
I think Dixie would be alright with you having more horses in your heart.
I think so too….
Yes, Dixie was a wonderful grace filled horse. She would be completely fine with it.
I think Dixie will be smiling and be so proud of her mom ❤
❤❤ Thank you for keeping the horses warm. ❤❤
I didn't realize how tall Voodoo was until you were trying to get his blanket on him.
Dixie is still thought of and missed ❤
Bucee's is a sweetheart!

heated/airconditioned barn sounds good. You did a great job getting the blankets on the horses.

That's so sad. I'm so sorry that your family went through that. 😢😮😢
@catrivett1964 that was back in the 70s and its how I learned that not all horses are the same
Jami you have enough posts in their barn to double tie which gives you more stability. They can’t move their heads as much and let’s them know you mean business. Please try this
Cross ties are a must, so easy to get things done on them.
All snug as a bug in a rug. 😊. Hope Rita did not give you too much trouble.
Be safe ❤😊❤.
Storm loves you so much, and the trust she has for you is beautiful ❤
I love that all American star one looks so sharp on him
That's a good one Jami. I think that "woman up" is alot stronger than "man up". After all, we all know if you want something done right, you have a woman do it.

Your babies, your choices…….if they need blankets then they get blankets…….love the connection & care all the babies get with y’all
My cat doesn't need to steal my heating pad but occasionally if I'm sitting there & he's on it I'll put it on low. But only if I'm right there.
Aww i believe Dixie is watching over you Jami and she approves of Prim wearing her blanket. ❤ Hugs I could watch you all day with the horses ❤
I’m so glad you shared this moment with us. So sweet. All the horses did so well. You are so patient with them. ❤️

Jami I get nervous for you working around the horses…they are so big and powerful the littlest things can spoke them you are so strong and brave getting the blankets on them ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You would need a king size comforter to cover Roman ❤❤😂😂
😅so true
Maybe if you sewed two horse blankies together...
A comforter would work.😅😅😅
Maybe a circus tent 😂😂
Yes, just sew straps on it and it should work although it wouldn’t be waterproof so that would be a problem so he would have to stay in his barn or sorry his Colosseum!!!!😂 ❤❤❤🙌🏻
Love the way Storm head hugs you for comfort and security 🥰

Jami, you are so brave. I can’t imagine the anxiety level you will have blanketing Rita❤️
You have so much patience! Bless you, Jami
Jami you take such good care of the horses. Bucees was so honest about eating too many cookies this year. He is so smart and yes, honest 🤭🤗😍
Hoping you see this. I love watching you with all the animals. Brings back many memories of my youth interacting with the animals on our farm. Miss those days. Am 78 now so it’s been a long time you just bring me smiles and good feeling. Thanks for sharing with me.
Voo is dashing in his Stars and Stripes
They love you fussin over them & appreciate that you’re doing something nice for them … I hope Rita feels the same❣️
Ivy cant Wait to get her "Pony" blanket!!❤
You might want to cross cross straps to prevent a horse from hanging a leg. Horses are always finding a way to get hurt.
Florida gets COLD! It has been in the low 30's here in the mornings and in the mid 50's to mid 60's in the day but still feels cool
Prim has such a sweet demeanor. Jami you are truly a Mommy Horse caretaker. You did a great job placing their blankets on each horse. They all look beautiful!!

Jami you did great. I don’t know how you did it but you did great you’re a strong woman.
I live in Alabama and I usually only blanket in temps in the teens or raining and in lower temps , the reason I don't unless it's in the teens or raining is because they may get sweaty and then get cold , if they're dry they typically stay warmer then blanketing, but by all means follow your vets advice 😊
Yes, when it got that cold they slept in the barn in their stalls. Was a very warm barn.
I love watching you with the horses! Each has such an individual personality and you are displaying expertise beyond your years!
The barn transformation from longhorn to horse is so wonderful!
