Call of the herd is such an amazing underrated card in premodern. I know it didn’t win the game this time, but consider how many resources it took away from the Landstill deck. Outside of Wrath, Powder Keg, Pernicious Deed, and Phyrexian Furnace there’s just not many ways to cleanly answer the value it provides.
It is a fantastic card in removal-heavy matchups for sure!
I wouldnt say its underrated, gets a ton of play doesnt it?
@@mana_station It's become much more common, but was underplayed for quite some time in premodern.
Any way to find the decklists? The pictures are appreciated, but the glare makes it difficult to see. It looks like the Landstill player is on a single copy of Wasteland? And the three lands between Wasteland and Dust Bowl, I can't make out at all.
Unfortunately all I get are deck photos!
i think i'd go with pile 1 standstill mana leak, pile 2 plains mana leak disenchant
I would have made it pile 1: standstill + disenchant; pile 2: plains + mana leak + mana leak.
It would have made a difference if he would have still taken pile 2, because later, he would not have had the Disenchant for the Winter Orb.
Standstill is of course the most dangerous card in this situation. With the amount of mana on the table, he could play around the Mana Leaks pretty easy, or at least trade them off two for one of his spells...
That joke about God hating elephants was hilarious :D
I try. Some say too hard :)
Around 8:25, isn't it a bad choice to attack with Elephant 🐘? I mean John could activate one factory to block and then the first factory pump up itself. John still got the second factory. So he has theoretically a 4/4 to block a 3/3 elephant 🐘. 🤔
It kind of depends what was going on in Mose's hand, but yes it did feel a little risky. My guess is John didn't want to risk a bolt/naturalize with a wrath in hand and was happy to just take 3.
Rooting for the Gators!
That last game was rough, but that first one was tight! Thanks for uploading!
I expected a deck with aligators.
Phyrexian Negator = 'Gators
damn, is that phish playing in the background? @14:00
Idk how you guys hear this stuff lol. Yeah the brewery we play at has a pretty varied playlist!
Damn, was hoping gators would get it
nice Spoiler
