Delhi Mumbai Expressway
The new Delhi-Mumbai expressway will forever change the way we look at Indian roads. It will not just bring down the travel time between Delhi and Mumbai to 12 hours, but would also unleash new job and development opportunities for backward areas falling along it.
This expressway will not only improve connectivity, but will also open the way for development. This entire route between Delhi and Mumbai will become an economic corridor in the same way. Like there is an economic corridor between Shanghai and Beijing. Such an Express way has never been built before in India, nor in China, nor in Asia.
The improved mobility provided by the expanding web of highways and expressways is expected to spearhead the change and help in lowering logistics costs to 10 per cent of the GDP from the current 16-18%.
