OMG, so many people waste minutes of their lives to throw up some hate around the internet. This woman is literally the definition of multitasking, let me see you playing one of the world's hardest (if not the hardest) instrument and perfectly execute beautiful choreographies - see her latest tours to see what I'm talking about - she improved A LOT. Some people need to get over themselves
@@ankihansen2489 Within the wind/brass band(s) community in the Music Industry, your statement is 100% valid. As for orchestral strings, it is a very difficult insturment too. I am a huge fan! Ugh, she is so amazing at her work! I love how she can move so awesomely at the same time as she is making the best music in the world!
Thank you Lindsey Stirling for sharing your art with the public of youtube. I have only discovered your videos in the last 3 months of 2014 but I will continue to check for new music because I love your style. A classical instrument which you play EXTREMELY well and a dark/middle age European background thrown into the modern electronic/dubstep power beat of today with the occasional hip-hop flavor is exactly what I love after being born in 1981 in a multicultural environment. Keep on kicking 455!
I sense a lot of Dvorak and Rimsky-Korsakov influences in that classical piece. I didn't recognize the hip hop piece, maybe because the blending is so seamless. Nicely done, Lindsey.
Love the way she plays violin. And her style. So what if she dance while playing it? It's her style after all she got famous for what She's doing. Playing violin while dancing so if some fool be like don't play while dancing she won't listen to u lol. She got famous for being true to herself not listening to some people that r not even famous n telling her what to do. GO LINDSEYYY 😁😁
I love how she plays the violin with such passion! Even with her movements.. I love how she makes the violin seem so fun, and, love her instrumental music! :) keep up the good work Stirling! :)
She gets really into her music while she's playing. She can hear the beats and things that would go along with her hiphop pieces and since her arms are preoccupied with the violin all she can really do is thrust and footwork :3
I love the fact that you can't sit still when you play. It shows how much you're physically/ emotionally involved in what you do. I've seen a lot of your videos now and congratulate you on making it to be my favorite violinist. Woo!
I just love how the music just seems to move through all of you. Me? I get a nice foot tap, but your whole body just catches the notes! What a gift and developed talent. :)
some of this is inspired by phantom of the opera right? xD I dont care that this is 5 years ago great video lindsey!!!! going to you're concert on 17 march 2017 ;)
The amazing talent we just witnessed. im a huge fan of Lindsey because of her unique style and her super amazing ability. By far one of the most inspirational artists out there. Period.
AWESOME! And the acoustics in an empty parking garage are perfect. They make for the perfect reverb. You have now sent me on a quest for an empty parking garage near home. ROTFLOL You're inspiring.
her playing alone is extraordinary and i'm in awe of it, but what really blows me away is her ability to maintain her tone, rhythm, and intonation while moving and jumping like that. BRAVA!
Too awesome! A major reference to her first hip hop violin video posted on UA-cam of "Pump it" by Black Eyed Peas! And the dancing it very identical too :D I got so excited when I recognized it!
It's so funny to look back at the "early Lindsey" and see how much she has progressed as a musician, dancer, singer, composer, songwriter, director... I'm sure I'm leaving out a lot. Oh, and the beauty! the woman is drop dead gorgeous today!!!!!
LMAO! I love the color tags on the end of the strings on the body of the violin. I mean, I know why they're there in reality, but I can't help thinking this every time I see it: "NEW! FROM THE MAKERS OF GUITAR HERO!!!... Violin ReStringing and Tuning Hero! Featuring songs by: Lindsey Stirling, and that's all... !" That being said, she is amazingly talented and has come a long way. Props.
They are for identifying string brands, because we orchestral stringed musicians sometimes to most have preferences towards the types of strings we want to make our insturment sound a certain way.
I melt like spidermansVenom in the soundwaves.. VIRtUOS.. look at the concentration level... while her mouth is one second open but then it turns in a smile all over the face and the gloom in the eye is in unity with the beat
I love it! Violin didn't use to be my favourite music some time ago (though I've always respected it). I've always loved rock music. But you really rock, Lindsey!
@CaptHayfever Lindsey is amazing. Throw up is a graffiti term that stands for a quick piece that is put up or thrown up for everyone to see. So these segments are known as Throw-ups since they're short and sweet.
Wow, the accoustics were far better than I was expecting. Then, I got hit with a blast from the past around the 1:18 mark - vintage hiphop violin. Very well done!
Hip Hop is a culture. Black Eyed Peas are a Hip Hop group but over the past few years they've done more pop hits than what they use to do. Checked out the video that's a dope instrumental. Strings have always played a big part in Hip Hop production. But yeah Lindsey use to do her own renditions of Hip Hop tracks. We actually have a project involving turntablist and drum machines and her on the violin that will come out later in the year.
"The musicians, giving way to the excitement, threw their instruments into the air, and strained their limbs into every contortion until they fell exhausted to the ground. I never heard a more frightful yell than that which arose in the valley. It was midnight and I gazed with wonder upon that extraordinary scene around me. Thus were probably celebrated ages ago the mysterious rites of Corybantes; when they met in some consecrated grove." -An Ancient Chaldee
That was so touching , i just cant understand how the sound of a viloin can transform me like that.. I think when starting the performance with just the heart feeling viloin play and after transending into the dance gradually progressing into the dance and then into the dubstep mode .. that gives the performance a waiting moment for the fans ... Its like soft to Rocking it.. night and day! and please excuse my french with all do respect like foreplay before the actual full event of the wonderful expierence .

Some people need to get over themselves
Oboe and French Horn are the hardest instruments to play, stop being a sucker
@@ankihansen2489 Violin is very complex though, stop hating xd

She can't help but dance. It was like she was trying not to but just gave in
I love how the fame hasn't changed her, still using the same dance moves from her first video :)
It's impossible to dislike Lindsey. She's beautiful inside and out and she and her music spread joy and happiness unlike anything else.
the bow flip killed me... she plays better when she dances XDD
This is how you friggin play violin like a rock star... You use your whole body to play the instrument and it makes the sound so much more dynamic
She is the definition of talent
tell that to Piers Morgan
I love the acoustics in there!
I am a huge fan! Ugh, she is so amazing at her work! I love how she can move so awesomely at the same time as she is making the best music in the world!
Wow oh my god she is so good!! :o
That was just awesome! I love accoustic violin!
Electric violin
Hope Lee I'm pretty sure that it's acoustic. That thing on the violin near the chin rest is a microphone I'm pretty sure.
Hope Lee it is acoustic I have one myself and it is exactly like that one
The violin is acoustic, but the mic has a reverbered effect... so it´s not really a natural sound; it´s somehow edited...
great keep dancing and plaing
She's always sounded amazing. This just proves it.

I love the way the- uhh parking lot (i think) makes the sound echo
Mooza she's got a pick up, although the parking lot probably helps :p

Having fun watching this old Lindsey videos again.... she is so awesome!
Behold, the amazing LINDSEY STIRLING!!!! * The crowd goes wild *
Lightning fingers. XD
I love her artistic style. this composition/arrangement shows off much talent.
i love the surprisingly good acoustics of the empty parking garage. Who knew?
Inside my head was an applause at the end of this video , she's amazing
looks so cute and beautiful i wish she come back !!!!
You have been so blessed and developed that talent so beautifully! What joy you bring to others with your music. I hope you always keep playing!!!!!
I love how she plays the violin with such passion! Even with her movements.. I love how she makes the violin seem so fun, and, love her instrumental music! :) keep up the good work Stirling! :)
She has the cutest personality, the way she talks kinda reminds me of Emma Stone.
She gets really into her music while she's playing. She can hear the beats and things that would go along with her hiphop pieces and since her arms are preoccupied with the violin all she can really do is thrust and footwork :3
Any artist is known by there work, you are a great artist, and the sound of your violin fill with life the emptyness of that garage.
I love the fact that you can't sit still when you play. It shows how much you're physically/ emotionally involved in what you do. I've seen a lot of your videos now and congratulate you on making it to be my favorite violinist. Woo!
I play violin in a chamber orchestra, and Lindsey is my IDOL. I totally look up to her, and she really inspires me. Keep playing!
Honestly, this wasn't Lindsey's best, but she still managed to rock that violin! :D
It was four years ago. She's a lot better now.
Yes, I'm well aware. :)
Amazing that this is live!! No edits, no miming to music. Fantastic!!
I met her at a concert and she is AMAZING :))
Man i could just listen to her play for hours... shes amazing pure amazing

Amazing acoustics, I bet they made you shiver...
The amazing talent we just witnessed. im a huge fan of Lindsey because of her unique style and her super amazing ability. By far one of the most inspirational artists out there. Period.
A different version of Phantom of the Opera! Just wonderful! Love you 😘
Wonderful video, wonderful composition, energetic moves, amazing talent.....what more could you ask for? Thank you for sharing.
Lindsey you are crazy good with the violin. Your music is awesome!!!

BRAVA!
Lindsey you have so much soul piercing talent that you make your violin sound like a mystical strato !
a little "Sterling" after a long bad day puts a smile on your face.. very therapeutic : )
Amazing.. Feel the music 10 fold over than worrying about what people will see is my only advice.
Too awesome! A major reference to her first hip hop violin video posted on UA-cam of "Pump it" by Black Eyed Peas! And the dancing it very identical too :D I got so excited when I recognized it!

This should have been in album. Who agrees?
Nice acoustics in the underground parking garage! That was a great place to shoot the video. Nicely done
lovely !
it sounds like the prologue in wind waker
Super talented
Am I the only one that thought the first part sounded like Schindler's List? Still sounded really cool. Props to you Lindsey!👍
I thought it sounded more like a song in Sweeney Todd
ive never seen sweeny todd so idk
Tumbs up if you are watching this at 2015 :D

Beautiful! Love you Lindsey!
Whoever knew what song she was playing is truly awesome.

You are the definition of talent

Dominant Strings....! and BLACK EYED PEAS! :D I love the original video you did of it... where your hopping all around haha :))
LMAO! I love the color tags on the end of the strings on the body of the violin. I mean, I know why they're there in reality, but I can't help thinking this every time I see it:

well 2 things i love about this girl. she's an amazing violinist, and she loves to have fun while doin it!
