just started the fletcher and its a loverly kit and cant wait to start the enterprise
very tiny parts but once completed the fletcher looks fantastic
will have a video up on that ship build soon
I just picked her up I’ve built her sister but I am getting the hornet eventually
for the money its a fantastic kit
Waterline Series kits are great for dioramas. I recently got the USS Yorktown kit -- tooled in 1979 with new parts in 2012. It cost me $54.00 Canadian, with free shipping from Amazon, and I'm very pleased with it -- except the decals. There's no national or signal flags, or anything for the flight deck. FYI: If you do Waterline Series right with the ballast, they will actually float. As you've seen, there's no keel, shafts, propellers or rudder. Mine is only the ship itself, and I'll keep an eye out for the ones with extra ships. P.S. What's a 'summat'? 😁
Didn't know that about the ballast but I doubt I would try it as I would be worried over the acrylic paints coming off

@@yorkshiremanmodels I hope I didn't offend you. Yorkshire's absolutely beautiful, as are most of its people. It's a lot like some places in Canada, and I could listen to that accent all day for the rest of my life -- but my wife won't let us move there... 😀
