I did not have problem with female custodes, it is how they were implemented. with good story writing it could have been a nice include, however just saying "there have always been female custodes." was lazy and an obvious pander to political pressure
And that's what the issue should be: female Custodes isn't a problem, GW's hamfisted approach to the issue was. Even then, what's the problem? GW has included lore that runs counter to how factions behave all the time. The Blood Angels and Necrons fighting against the Tyranids together, Grey Knights slaughtering a Sisters of Battle unit to cover their armour in sanctified blood (despite being the Imperium's finest Daemon hunters), even the retconning of male-only Imperial Knight pilots from 6th Ed to 7th, where it went co-ed. At a certain point, people have to ask themselves if the problem isn't in the change but in how they react to it. In a space as openly hostile to girls as the broader Warhammer community, it's a valid question. Sure, individual gaming groups may be brilliant on the issue, but the wider hobby attracts a certain clientele, one with some serious issues around women and girls. I think that's a discussion worth having.
conveniently ignoring how Gav Thorpe confirmed on social media how Female Custodes are still canon, i guess it's easy to jump on the bandwagon without stopping to think how the book was probably written before they were canonized
amen to holy emperor.

Are you not reading the latest developments before posting? Gav Thorpe has doubled down that the female custodes are there to stay. RECENTLY!
The The Ultimate Guide is not published from GW(black library), its published from DK. So Female Custodes is still cannon.
