They could make a Nagant Revolver which would be incredibly awesome as like a early T2 unlock, in real life they're about as 'powerful' as a Python but **maybe** slightly less damage short range yet less damage drop off thus longer range (way oversimplifying IRL ballistics here) and they were used in one or both World Wars by the USSR but what makes them one of a kind is that the projectile is recessed inside the case which is then crimped around the front of the projectile and when cocked the cylinder pushes up against the rear of the barrel and the case expands as the projectile exits the cylinder and it creates a perfect seal between the barrel and cylinder making it THE ONLY revolver in existence that can be suppressed effectively without massive custom modifications
the fact that fcpch "listened to the community" with the sks and decided to make it a skin anyway its even worse than releasing it as skin from the beginning
i mean lets be real where would it fit into the game other than just being a semi with slightly different dps and ammo count. it just doesnt set itself aside from any other weapons, like the alleged high caliber revolver, which sounds like it will carve it's own uses rather than being a second midline semi rifle with no extra features. i hate bending backwards for paid content as much as the next guy, we just dont lose anything with the sks being a skin. i guess tldr its hard to make another semi rifle that will feel unique without being either op or unusable
@@gh_3_2 They'd need to buff the m39, maybe allow it to shoot in burst as a toggle or something, then the SKS would be purchasable for like 200 scrap for early game snowballing w/o BPs.
I wish they would add the tripwire to the shotgun trap so it's not basically a stationary auto turret...flame turret too. Would also be cool if you could create multiple contact points for the wire, maybe it has a length limit but you can string it in unique ways as opposed to just a single thread coming directly from the bell/trap.
The SKS stuff is opening up a can of worms that kinda worries me, a skin for a weapon that actually has a *totally* different model (cool) but imo more importantly sounds. Can't wait for the valorant M2 where it's a dragon that makes a roaring sound instead of gunshots and you reload it by rubbing its belly. (Hyperbole) My main gripe is the response from facepunch being "we're hearing the community ask for the SKS to be its own thing and considered it but nu uh!" feels like a slap across the face and instead we're gonna get a 5.56 revolver that's probably gonna be a scoped crossbreed between the python and boltie and will most likely be another weapon with the drop mechanics like the minigun and mil flamethrower

honestly these would be great for trap bases, in theory it could set off the tesla traps, or open and shut doors if allowed a electrical component that you could attatch to it. we could see the game played a little differently, if the application of these are slightly varied for an electrical component or possibly a more lethal option to fight against raiders. The in game application possibilites are quite endless in my opinion. Im no game designer. but i think its a possibility.
Pretty sure you can place them on cargo.. even tho he said you can't. There's special spots where you can place ladders so might also work there Outside of the ship, the white thing in the back with exhausts on, doorways, openings of containers and some more places lol
We need some new tier 1 and tier 2 weapons, preferably guns. Every single update since the Harbor / Cargo update has been super boring and lame edit: more than a high powered revolver. but it's a good start ig
the trap door would be easy if they just allowed double doors to be placed inside the floor frame as is. opening in one direction or the other. they should also make it so you can use the hammer to "upgrade" garage doors into bigger doors with identical doors facing the same direction into bigger doors. this will allow hangers for peoples heli's and expanding on vehicles into bigger "war rigs"
I mean, they're not exactly known for their foresight, s&box is doomed to be dead on arrival so they'll gladly milk their one cash cow that is rust with more DLCs/skins like the sks and wallpapers
these alarms seem super spammable. also, there should be an option to silently cut the wire by holding e on it for 5 seconds or something. that way if you pay attention you can counter it if its blocking a one way entrance
Personally, I'm waiting for more options when placing a door (so you can choose inward, outward, to the left, or to the right). I'm also waiting for horizontal garage doors so you can vertically take off in a helicopter. Another thing is half foundations, both square and triangular. It would be better if the developers implemented a tax on teammates; for example, if you play solo, the scrap prices are without tax, and the more people in the team, the higher the tax. Oh, and the turrets, they still get baited and waste ammo unlike in the safe zone.
Yes recyclers would be a bonus. Fishing village is hardly a hub though. I was thinking more along the lines of Outpost or Bandit but a little smaller than harbor.
I don't understand tier 1 blueprints. Why would I ever pay, what, 200 scrap to unlock this? Why can't this be a default item? And for that matter, why should any of this need to be unlocked? I see a good reason for the revo, water pipe, beancans. The rest of it is just bs I should be able to craft right away. Since it's not, I don't use it. Why FP?

We already have semi rifle an m39, it wouldn’t work having a 3rd weapon of the same single fire rifle class

Bringing a handful of alarms to basically every monument will now be standard kit for me. No grubbing shall occur on my watch.
I know it's a placeholder but I like the bell sound for the Can Alarm.
