Later his concert, was our 1st date, with my girlfriend, who is more insane, than this song. Next time we saw him, she made sure, she wore her Red Dress. (His “Where Did You Get that Red Dress?”) The one so tight, my GF couldn’t wear underwear. All his songs are great. His best version of this song. On UA-cam look for the video with the smoke shop image. Actually, my GF’s whole family sounds like his relatives. GF, used to ride in the car, on the Interstate topless, until, some trucker chased us down I-35 at 90. His latest video is "How am I Gonna Find You Now"

This may be the most underrated American song of the 21st century.
I'm a long haul truck driver and when I'm on the road all over the U.S this song runs thru my head almost constantly.
It's a great song. Choctaw Bingo and Levelland is even better.
Great song, by a great songwriter. His father is Larry McMurtry, is a great novelist, so I guess he gets his great lyrics honestly.
