Tulsi Chakreborty is only at the very beginning where he has a very funny scene with Chhabi Biswas. Although Uttam and Suchitra are an important part of the film, it really belongs to Chhabi Biswas, and to a lesser degree to Pahari Sanyal.
A strange man (Chhabi Biswas) leads several homeless people into living in the vacated mansion of a wealthy man (Pahari Sanyal). At first he seems a bit of a con man, but we soon learn there's much more to him than meets the eye.
From time to time there a lot of noise or static in the audio. It doesn't last all that long. At other times there are such abrupt changes between scenes I decided there's missing parts to the film.

Indian film copyright (including video, dialog, music, lyrics, songs) lasts for sixty years and any film and its songs released more than sixty years ago is in the public domain. No extensions, no renewals, no exceptions. This film is no longer protected by copyright.

Glad that you are working on Bengali films. Do you want to work on Harano Sur and Pothe Holo Deri again? As your versions of these two films are truncated(this is of course not your fault), I'm saying these. I have DVDs of these two films and both of them have the duration of 147 minutes(at 30 fps). And I can also offer you two more Bengali films, i.e., the Saigal-Leela Desai starrer 'Jiban-Maran' and The Pankaj Mallik starrer 'Daktar'. I have DVDs of these two films. Jiban-Maran is the only surviving Bengali film of Saigal in the lead role.

Thank you for the kind words. The former copyright holder tries to stop any competition with films they used to own. That's why there are so few classic Bengali language films on UA-cam. And they don't care about quality. Unfortunately, I don't have either of the films you requested. Sorry. Thank you for your interest.

You posting Bengali films so frequently, you ran out of hindi films to upload? It's nice to see the refined version of yours
You want to know the story? I first worked on a Bengali film because it starred 3 people familiar to Hindi film fans (Looko Choori, with Kishore Kumar, Anita Guha and Mala Sinha). The reactions by the former copyright holder - including everything up to and including a copyright strike (takedown notice) - was so vicious that I was astonished. I fought them off and they did it again on the same film - multiple phony copyright claims, blocks, strikes). And I decided, okay, I know the copyright laws and the UA-cam rules, and only then decided to take them on and work on more Bengali language films. I had originally intended to do only that one Bengali film. Every film I worked on was hit with multiple fraudulent copyright claims, time and time again. I was forced to get help from UA-cam Support. Over a year or so UA-cam Support after investigating and stopping individual claims of theirs, finally began to have an effect. They still file claims - this film's release was delayed a week because of a false block on copyright grounds - but (so far) they've recently only made a single claim and then stopped. An added benefit is that these films are pretty popular. Just go to my home page and check the most popular films. And that's just a part of the story. But no, plenty of Hindi films on which to work.

Sir, please upload the film 'Bombai Ka Babu,' Dev Anand film. Also, kindly change the subtitle name to English, as some people might think it's in Bengali, not English.
One can only choose the audio language, not the subtitle language. If I choose English. then that says the audio is in English, as well as the subtitles. I choose Bangla, that means the subtitles are also named Bangla. The subtitle language is assumed to be the same as the audio language. I know, it makes no sense. However, in the information provided for the film (hit the "more" button below the video) I say there are subtitles in English.
