I haven't had a chance to fully confirm if this works yet. Worth looking into. Making tripwire and pressure plate triggers more base friendly is a good thing.

What if blade traps are placed on another block, will they not dismember zombies without killing them (by shredding their head), will they hit and cut off their arms or can they even still turn them into crawlers for some reason? And does it make sense not to place blade traps directly on the ground?

i made a base design from a UA-cam vid that was alpha 15, does not work the same at all, constantly getting policeman and giant green zombs coming even in regular day so i think this alpha is definitely forcing you to use more of these ranged traps, thanks for making the video, nothing much on youtube for alpha 16 atm

Hey dude, sup! I've seen your video about heat map, and one thing is not clear for me. Everytime I made a high base, like 35~40 blocks high, seems like even with forges and things, the screamer or other zombies do not try to tear my base down... Sometimes I see hordes passing by, but seems like I'm high enough for them care about me... And when there is a screamer, it just keeps walking around till it's gone. They usually go away in 3~5 mins after they spawn. I keep tracking her to see how she works, and even with mininig helm on, seems like she don't care about me. I can even shoot her multiple times and she just doesn't scream. Could you or someone tell me for sure if somehow high places have influence in the heat map or the zombies senses about where to go or where the player is?... Would it be like I'm too far away so they can't sense/see me? But if so, the heat map still working for that chunks or there's no heat map effect in high places? Or even further... the chunks counts vertical as well? Obs: I have no doors at all. Doors seems to attract them even more, no matter where they are placed. The only times I really need to fight is when it's blood moon. But of course, sometimes it's good to let her scream then loot her friends. Thank you! Keep the good job! :D ** alpha 16.

Im not 100% sure bit the reason why they aren't attacking is because of their memory settings which can be exploited same way when you make a mine shaft all the way to bedrock....they know your here somewhere but forget fast. Horde night is different because zombies are programmed for like 1 time use, they always know your location and won't stop untill morning or you kill them.
Can you wire through doors or down floors? I have base with several floors, would I have to set up a power system on each floor? And then if I put turrets outside, then need another setup there?

Are you trying to connect the sources straight to the item? Items can only have 1 wire attached, so you need both sources hooked up to a relay or something, then from that relay that now has both sources attached, you draw 1 power line to the device you wish powered. so solar to relay 1 an dgenerator to relay 1 then from relay 1 connect the device. I don't know how timer relay works so i can't tell if you can use it instead of relay 1 or not.
thats the thing though, the relays dont accept more then 1 power source. I tried doing separate timed relays to 1 device, doesnt work it wont accept 2 wires of power. I tried using regular relays like you suggested and it doesnt accept 2 different wires.
hook a solar bank to a battery bank, then connect the battery bank to whatever you are powering. it'll use the solar power during the day, and battery at night. it will also recharge the batteries during the day, thus giving infinitely renewing power.

From what I understand, the PC owners (funpimpz) sold the rights to the console version. While they still work on PC, its someone else who does the console and for this reason, what PC has, console may or may not eventually get.

Nope, they dropped in a pit, where my blade are, blades started to work but the zombies just kept running through the blades without suffering damage. remaking it now to use the electric wires Blade traps where new btw, was already doing no damage from the first zombie entering
just be glad it's on console at all. I own it on PC and ps4 and play both equally. it sucks that console doesn't have everything, but that can't be helped. console won't allow things that are too buggy for one thing. and console simply can't handle a lot of things that PC can. you can get a PC that'll handle it for around the same price as console. my PC is$700, but it isn't species for gaming. it's just higher priced basically for aesthetics lol. I've seen gaming PCs much more powerful for 500
I think right now turrets are overpowered, you can put a bad quality shotgun on it and it will still wreck zombies, like screamers aren't even a problem anymore, i can keep my forges running for days.

Yes with an electric timer relay you setup on solar from 6 am to 10pm and generator on from 10 pm to 6 am.
