I was Christian and converted to Atheist recently because I'm homosexual, and what the Bible says pisses me off, so do Judgmental Christians, and they say homosexuals go to hell. I don't think of any women sexually at all (believe me, I tried converting but it doesn't work that way)I hate myself for being this way even though I know it isn't my fault. I recently tried to kill myself because of this kid in school that makes fun of me constantly because of how I act, I'd assume. My mom said if I was gay she'd be sad. So honestly, I'm super afraid to tell anyone that I know personally. Everyone in my family is religious. But me.

A true Christian will love you for who you are and celebrate what makes you, you. I'm sorry that your family isn't like this. Disabled LGBTQ people can be very invisible and ignored by both the disability movement and the LGBTQ movement, so seeing others feels awesome. Me, I was so far in the closet, I was having tea with Mr. Tumnus in Narnia... My family knew that I was bi/pansexual when I was twelve, I figured out at... 29. At around the same time I began realizing I'm transgender. Being so "old" when I came out really made it easier for me to handle it all.

As a Christian, love is not a sin. You can’t help who you’re attracted to. It’s who you are, and we were not put on this Earth to judge that. (UNLESS your sexuality is hurting others. That’s when it is not okay regardless of religion)

I’m a Christian who happens to be gay as well and it’s so wonderful to see the deep understanding you’ve come to concerning God’s love for you not in spite of , but because of, who you are. I hope each morning when you wake you can go through the day seeing yourself through God’s eyes. You are a beautiful child of God’s, inside and outside. Your compassion, care and generosity for others is beyond lovely and while you mentioned your teeth a couple times keep in mind that at some point we all came into this world without teeth and most of us will leave this world without them. Even if your teeth don’t look the way you want them I promise you this, when you smile with those teeth, what people with a heart to see, will most notice is your joy. And by the way, you have a lovely singing voice EVEN when Chris joined in :)
New Creation as a Christian myself, I do not celebrate the sin of homosexuality, but at the same time, it's important that we accept them and treat them like the regular human beings they are. And in my opinion, I don't think people can choose to be gay, so it's not like they can do anything about it. It's who they are.

I've been binging SBSK vids and as this is one of the few videos where I can say it; it has made me reflect upon my past behaviour surrounding people with conditions. I am a naturally awkward person and interacting with people I don't quite understand is very difficult for me. These videos have taught me that it is okay to be awkward in those situations as long as I keep an open mind and make an effort. Something to keep in mind when I interact with anyone in the future, just say hi and listen, if I don't know what boundaries to make, just ask them. Better to try and ask then just look the other way. Thank you, Chris, and thanks to all the people who've shared their story through SBSK. Perhaps I should also try to be more foreward about my ADHD in the future so that other people can also understand me better. Just thanks! Ps. Debby, if you're reading this; you have a great smile C:

I live n was born n raised in St. Louis Missouri and anytime I hear an accent like Debbie's, I literally have such a hard time with understanding what they're saying lol. Hey my name is Susanne and i have williams syndrome Many people bulling us with williams just because we are difrent . I Get sad when people hurt me in That way .
I think these videos are very important and should be an ad on the tv because I think many people wouldn’t hesitate to be judgmental towards her when they would see her in person thinking she is lazy and doesn’t take care of herself well enough or anything like that. More people need to see these videos and need to know that people aren’t always lazy or overweight or just slower thinking that other people they might just have a condition. Very thankful for these videos, for the people caring about content like this and supporting them ! And much respect to you Chris for bringing awareness towards people.

I've been binging SBSK vids and as this is one of the few videos where I can say it; it has made me reflect upon my past behaviour surrounding people with conditions. I am a naturally awkward person and interacting with people I don't quite understand is very difficult for me. These videos have taught me that it is okay to be awkward in those situations as long as I keep an open mind and make an effort. Something to keep in mind when I interact with anyone in the future, just say hi and listen, if I don't know what boundaries to make, just ask them. Better to try and ask then just look the other way. Thank you, Chris, and thanks to all the people who've shared their story through SBSK. Perhaps I should also try to be more foreward about my ADHD in the future so that other people can also understand me better. Just thanks!

I have a little brother with WS who passed away in 2010, and I always love seeing your interviews with other with WS.. it brings back so many good memories for me. Some of my favorite times growing up we’re at the WS biannual conventions. She’s right, if you’ve met a person with Williams Syndrome, you have a friend for life!

I really enjoy these interviews Chris does. He always is so engaged with the person and looks at them with so much happiness and acceptance and a sense of love, which is what you should do with everyone. Just give them a chance.

I think these videos are very important and should be an ad on the tv because I think many people wouldn’t hesitate to be judgmental towards her when they would see her in person thinking she is lazy and doesn’t take care of herself well enough or anything like that. More people need to see these videos and need to know that people aren’t always lazy or overweight or just slower thinking that other people they might just have a condition. Very thankful for these videos, for the people caring about content like this and supporting them ! And much respect to you Chris for bringing awareness towards people.
