Hi Merina, so I’m commenting on something you said last week. You said you still don’t know why people like you. Oh Merina, let me count the ways 😂: First of all you’re funny. You don’t try to be funny, you’re just naturally funny and you always make me laugh. Sometimes I laugh so hard my coffee shoots out of my nose 😂 You’re kind. Even when most people would truly struggle to be kind in certain situations, you are always kind. You introduced me to Jesus, now I have him to lean on in difficult times (what a difference that has made!) you’re always patient with your children and you’re such a good mom! You’re honest and humble and let me tell you that is such a refreshing quality especially in these times when a lot of people hide their true self. You don’t judge people (also a refreshing quality) You’re not afraid to make mistakes and you learn from those mistakes. You’re a friend who invites us all into your home and life to hang out every week. I’m a counselor and work in social work which is very rewarding and equally stressful, I LOVE having my “Rina time” after work or on the weekends with a cup of coffee. I look forward to it always!!!! Anyway I could keep going on and on about WHY people like you but i think my comment is long enough lol! And I hope you understand now why we adore you! ❤

Hello from a first time momma to a 6 week old baby girl who is finally seeing the light at the end of the trenches of postpartum depression. With the help of Jesus and my doctors, I’m finally feeling like myself and able to fully be there for my baby and my husband. Here's a peach tip - once you peel the peach, run your knife around the peach. Start where the stem would be and go the whole circumference. Then you can just twist the peach in half and the pit should come out easily. Then you are able to slice the peaches up easily. Some peaches are a variety that the peach pit doesn't come out - it clings to the peach. But it's still a lot easier to slice up. Hope that helps. :) From a peach lover...and a person who's canned a million quarts of peaches in my life. :)

They may be a “peach variety” but they look like nectarines. Not a big deal because they taste very similar. Definitely easier to slice the peach (and less waste) to cut it like SweetlyHome suggested. Merina!! Girl, you gotta try raw peaches. Let that juice run down your chin and your elbows-they are soooo good (if they are ripe and soft, not crunchy).

Here is an easy recipe for you. It’s called “Lazy Man Lasagna.” Brown some ground beef with an onion. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. You need two jars of marinara and a family size bag of cheese Ravioli. Line the bottom of the pan with 1/3 of the ravioli, cover with marinara and add 1/2 of ground meat. Repeat until you use all the ingredients. Cover with shredded Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 for about 35 minutes to cook the pasta through (don’t boil the pasta first). Add a salad and some garlic bread. Easy and yummy. Can’t wait to see you test it on the channel.

Recipe challenge accepted! My Momma made a dish we called Mock Enchilada and when i say it is kid crack i am not joking, ws loved that stuff!! Super easy to make as its a casserole...here ya go!- Take 2 cans of your favorite chili, i add extra beans, pinto or black, warm it on stove, meanwhile preheat your oven to 375, and get a rectangular( 13x9) baking dish and spray or butter it well. You need a bunch of cheddar cheese, a family size bag of Fritos, i use the dipper ones but Momma always used the normal ones lol. Put a layer of chili, a layer of fritos, layer of cheese, chili, fritos, cheese, then top with more fritos and cheese! Put it in the oven until the top starts bubbling and the cheese is turning brown..takes about 25- 30 mins. Serve with sour cream and your kids are gonna go nuts, lmbo❤

So I have always been someone to figure out how to get the “look” but at a non-look price. At this age I have one son 35, divorced with 2 kids 14 & 4, and 3 other grandchildren from 19-22 and often my extra pennys windup in their pockets due to life unexpected issues. Or my bucks wind up in their pockets and the pennys wind up in mine trying to survive and my diy projects. So cutting cost on every level- food, scrap wood, thrift store and market place is my go tos. And I am not beyond slamming on the brakes for a curb find. Keep offering tips to help survive in this world of inflation ( a jar of mayonnaise $8.98😱) we all gonna need these tips !!

Meri a I love that you share the struggles with money, income and savings. Even speaking up for those who can’t save bc income barely covers expenses. Our mandated schooling would rather decide Pluto isn’t a planet after years of teaching that it is and Change your children/grandchildren understanding of a planet from mine so we are both confused INSTEAD of teaching about balancing a checkbook, saving, how credit scores can make or break you especially when struggling and have a need for necessary car repair or hot water heater replacement. Even if you have it all together it never hurts to hear someone’s struggles to help remind us how fortunate we are and hopefully never stop saving & making insightful decisions ❤

To make this peach recipe easier and more economical. Get a big can of peaches and use the juice from the can and dice up the big pieces. Hope that helps.

You can feed the peach peels to your chickens, they'll love it!

  • @Snoddyfam
    @Snoddyfam 18 днів тому +1

You can also peel peaches by cutting a little x in the end (not the stem end) and dropping them in boiling water for about two minutes. Then put them in an ice bath and the skin will pull off without wasting the peach flesh. They have pits. So if you cut it in a circle around the pit (stem end to other end and back) pull it apart to remove the pit. Cling peaches will be harder to split. Non-cling peaches will let go of the seed easier.

A favorite, easy casserole here is taco mac n cheese. You need: 1# ground beef, 1 taco mix packet, 2 boxes of Mac n cheese, and shredded cheddar to cover 9x13 pan. Make the boxes of Mac n cheese according to directions. Make the taco meat according to directions. Mix in 9x13, cover with grated cheddar and bake at 350°F til cheese is melted. (About 15 minutes) Can be made ahead and kept in refrigerator. I don't put cheddar on till after it's baked 30 minutes (from frig) and warmed thru. Then top with cheddar and melt for 10-15 minutes. ❤

Try this recipe!!!! Chicken Cajun pasta
    One pack of chicken
    One pack of Cajun sausage
    One pack of cheese tortellini
    One block of cream cheese
    One pint heavy cream
    Grated Parmesan
Seasoning: paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and Cajun seasoning.
-Season and sear your chicken in the skillet and put it in the oven to finish cooking 350 for 30 min
    - cut the sausage in bit size pieces and sear them but leave in the skillet.
-add the pasta (I use the one that cooks in 3 min) with the sausage.
    - then add the heavy cream and 1/4 cup chicken broth or more if you want it saucy. Bc it thickens
    - add the cream cheese block to it and some of the seasoning (however much you want)
-Cover and let the cream cheese melt then add half of a container of grated parm and mix together. By the time the chicken is done the meal should be done. I do everything over medium heat and it’s perfect. I slice the chicken and add it to the meal as I eat it

I have a very easy but very tasty goulash recipe you can try. 1lb Hamburg, 1lb elbow macaroni, 1 large can tomato soup, 1 onion chopped, you can also add 1 chopped pepper. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook macaroni according to package. Brown the hamburger and onion/pepper. Drain macaroni and drain grease from hamburger. Combine macaroni in the same pan as hamburger and add the tomato soup straight from the can. Mix all together and heat through. Season with salt and pepper if needed. Eat with buttered bread or rolls. It’s sooooo good 😉👍😁

The middle of the peach is a peach pit! It’s the seed of the peach. They have one big one instead of lots of little ones like an apple.
I suggest a “Dump Cake”. My mom always made them. You dump canned peaches in the bottom of a class pan (juice and all). Then sprinkle a white or yellow cake mix over the top. Then evenly dump in a stick or two of melted better over the cake mix. Bake at 375 until golden brown. SO easy and delicious. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
    Love you! ♥️

Hi Marina! I make a super easy peach upside down cake. Use a butter recipe yellow cake mix. Mix as directed but use peach juice from canned peaches instead of the water. I use 2 large cans of sliced peaches, layed out in the bottom of a 9x13 cake pan. Melt 2 sticks of butter and add 1 cup brown sugar. Stir and pour over the peaches. Pour cake batter over and Bake at 350° till cake is done. It does take longer to bake than the box says. Close to an hour so cover with foil to prevent the top from burning. Flip out onto a cookie sheet when cake is done, knife comes out clean.

I do my Chicken Casserole a little different! I use 4 box’s of stove top, (2 cornbread & 2 chicken flavored)You can use can chicken or cooked chicken, 1 LG can of cream of chicken! I fix my stove top as directed on the stove 2 box’s at a time 1 cornbread & 1 chicken , & if using cooked chicken have it cooked & shredded! I put my first 2 cooked boxes of stuffing mix in the bottom of my sprayed pan spread it out evenly, add shredded chicken, add cream of chicken, then add the last 2 boxes of stuffing mix that you cooked on the stove for your top layer! Cover & bake at 350 for 35-45 min ! Uncover for the last few minutes to brown the top! It is delicious 😋

I think you and your husband are just wonderful. It makes me very sad that you get any negative comments. Isn't there enough negativity in this world already? Why in the world would anyone do that to you? I think you're very down to earth and I love how you express your faith. I'm old enough to be your grandmother but you have inspired me. Now that's saying something! By the way, just for your info, those aren't peaches, they're nectarines you're using. They look the same, but peaches are "fuzzier." And peach nectar is like a "thick" juice. So it would probably add to the texture of the cake. But saying all that, I think nectarines would be a good choice too. Please just keep on being you. There's hardly anything better.

Seriously, that cookbook taught me so much. Every recipe takes 30 minutes or less and is cheap and really good. It also gives a lot of kitchen advice that really helped me.
