I like the teardown and the fact the you came out honestly about the quality of parts of this speaker, thanks for the video ,i'm looking forward on buying it for at least 180.00.keep up the good work.
Great teardown, i recently bought the boom 2 plus and it's pleasing to see the build quality is more than reasonable. The humming noise shielding shows the extra care, Anker have done. Stay safe brother 👍🏼
Putting masking tape around the plastic near to the grille should protect the plastic from being damaged too much when prying the grille off. Tweeter placement is not the best - they should have been placed higher up on the baffle. Build quality looks good. I'd be tempted to toss some polyester fiberfill into the cabinet to see if it reduces the boominess a bit.
Thanks looking at this i think manufacure cost 40£ or less only plastic and some cheap parts , can be nice check voltage on amp ic then we can check real power if this is powered with this 7.4v battery power will be 20w for each speaker or there is some step up converter ? :/ opending this is reall pain in the ass otherwise its nice add 4 more bateries , 2-3hours on high volume is not too long :/
The boom plus was built for an older generation of listeners, for critical listening. It provides lots of detail. The plus 2 is IMO made for the younger listeners wanting boom boom. It tried to compete with the tribit blast. For me gen 2 disappoints because it still cant go low enough to create the beautiful rounded bass a BB3 or HK Go Play 3 can produce. The Earfun shows the importance of tuning, which seems to be an aftertought for Soundcore and Tribit these days.
Thanks! I have been waiting for someone to do this. I think all the sponsored content for Anker has a clause where they are not allowed to do a tear down. That is why you don’t see more people doing this. You didn’t show the passive radiators all. 😢
Very interesting and solid construction. Bluetooth probably based on the ATS2835P or non P version chip. Each amplifier has its own DAC chip. For the woofer, the ES8156 chip. For the tweeter ES7243E. I'm impressed. It's a pity that such a good design does not translate into good sound 😞 I had this model, I sold it after a few days.
@@speakerblowupmanlee5921 The ATS sends a digital signal to the DAC, which in turn sends an analog signal to the TPA3126 amplifier circuits. Both DACs have nothing in their structure except a 7-band EQ, so the band cutting itself is done in the ATS bluetooth chip.
This is good, even though the older gen which is Motion Boom Plus doesn't have more deeper bass, it plays nicer, more airier, with titanium drivers too, i wouldn't choose any of them, the Og Motion Boom plays nicer & better when size to value & performance ratio matters Tribit Stormbox Blast & Earfun Uboom X are the real contenders here for value for money & performance ratio My preferred choice overall is the Tribit Stormbox Blast
Thank you for making this. I've been waiting quite a while for a teardown of this speaker. I would've taken mine apart long ago and uploaded it to UA-cam but i really didn't want to risk damaging it even though i got them to send me mine for free (LOL) The only thing you could've done better is if you showed the battery and maybe the LED connections to the passive radiators as I'm quite curious how they've done that. Would also be nice to see a free air of the drivers in a separate video. Also I'm definitely with you on the passive radiators being tuned too high. I'm definitely going to try to add a bit of weight on the passive radiators of mine to see if i can improve the low bass performance as i too think that this speaker is very upper Bass heavy. I've done this with many Bluetooth speakers in the past with rather surprising results. It's very surprising to me how much performance a lot of Bluetooth speaker manufacturers leave out because they simply don't add a few more grams to their passive radiators.
Ahh ight that makes a lot of sense. Don't know why i didn't think of that. By the way do you know the capacity/manufacturer of the 18650 batteries they've used in the battery pack?
Honestly really well built speaker! Sounds pretty ok but not my cup of tea really The jbl boombox 2 woofers are made by 3Nod so most likely these are also from 3Nod
Wow ur the first heheh it the same amp use in motion boom+ but only single 3116d.. and the Bluetooth module in first motion boom + more high end same brand
JBL BoomBox 2 was first on market. Then, Tribit Stormbox Blast, Anker Soundcore Boom 2 Plus, earFun UBOOM X all copied the design. Just like the upcomming Tribit Stormbox Blast 2 is a copy of the Boombox 3, (although they did not manage to copy the coax driver layout of mid/high). BT Speaker market is so boring.
agree but for me new one looks better :/ i ordered new one waiting some time for teardown its a shame build amplifier on 0.9£ IC and sell this for 200£ i think manufacture of those cost max 40-50£ or even less :/
I own the Boom2 which has to be one of the most overrated speakers on the market. The sound quality is very disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good overall value when considering features & performance but sound quality wise, it could be better. I just don’t see what all the fuss is about.😂

Neodymium magnet saves lots of weight, big plus is less space taken inside so bigger enclosure.
all 1st in youtube i love this channel!!
The Boom2Plus tends to have a warmer sound, making it more ideal for indoor listening.
You that MAN 🦅🦅🇺🇸
@speakerblowupmanlee5921 you mind dropping your eq settings for the boom 2?
hey great video do u think u can sometime dissasemble a soundcore motion plus pls? i love that speaker
老哥真心优秀,这些拆解视频是深度分析产品的好帮手。
感謝大大!只要是音響測評我就一定會做拆解的!
Thanks! I like the video!

Adding weight on the passive radiator greatly decreases the boominess

There will be a step up converter. Likely is what's inside of that shielding can.
W - KING X20 teardown?
Well done
I noticed you point with the camera but I am sometimes left wondering. Can you point with a tool or highlight. Love your breakdowns!
Like a laser pointer?
I paid $170 for it new from compsource. Thank you for the tear down.
New
I could get it for 130

Yeah I have to say the earfun uboom x is much better. Though, without oluv it'd be the same. Their default tuning is pretty bad
Hey bro can you teardown the soundcore rave Neo 2
Finally 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for your Video!
Love your content

Both amps are tpa3126. The dsp and crossover are likely done through the ats2835 soc.

0.9£ amp in 200£ speaker😅
@@adredy most of the cost goes into engineering/design and of course, knowing anker, advertising.
@@TotalneRozczarowanie is the eq done in the dac or the ats chip? Or both?
2 days is very long
Lol just realized I can't watch it 😅😅. Tried it with another account. Fixed now

I'd take uboom x over any of these. Good bass, good highs and the eq actually works. It's also cheaper.
@speakerblowupmanlee5921 Both are great speakers, choices differ
Oh no, three more days of waiting :(

The led is not mounted on the passive radiator. There is a bracket on the side of the enclosure for the led board.

Well the copies are much cheaper and sometimes better. Somebody's bound to come out and expose them overpriced junk lol
Older one sounds nicer, more treble.

not really some guy did it 8 days before you
A full teardown? Still can't find one on youtube other than mine. I know someone took the grills off before me tho.

Anker pays reviewers to say good stuff about their speakers.
