I am passionate about dx Eagles! They do everything well except hold high speed turn. Seasoned ones will turn some, but then hook up. So if you want big distance, tree-sneaking helixes, a long service-life, grip in the rain, sick overhands and forehands, Then get a couple of these old-school, base-plastic bad boys!
Great video! I was going to suggest some things, but by the end of the video, you have them covered. I have an Eagle X (Barsby 2020) and an Eagle L (Exodus X-Out 2022) both in Star/S-Blend plastic, and they fly too much like my TL and TeeBird that there's not enough differentiation at my level, so they currently aren't bagged. That said I've had them with me from time to time. Really good discs, but I think the other ones - even the ones that's been on the market for decades - have filled that slot pretty well. I think people see 7 5 0 2 and 7 4 -1 3 the TeeBird numbers just look better to them. Also the Exodus often has very similar numbers to the 7 5 0 1 or 7 5 -1 1 of the TL (depending on run and plastic). That's my take. 🙂
You asked so here are my thoughts: Millenium released Exp1 in 1998. Banshee Top and the Wing of what would become the Eagle X rim 1 year later in 1999. Eagle L makes an appearance in 2001- 1st Run CE Eagle Are you saying that the Eagle X's from the late 90s are not PDGA approved?
I bag a champ 12x I bought in Tahoe in 2019. Still in there. Still love it. Not all domey like the ones I’ve seen lately.
Nice video, I learned a lot! I guess the Eagle is coming back in style with Calvin rippin’ courses with it now, and especially after that sick ace!

Have two 2023 barsbys because theyre somewhat flat. And a vela on the way because i heard its milleniums eagle designed partially by calvin.
Used to bag the Eagle, switched to a Lat 64 River and never looked back!
Very different discs. The eagle is a lot more stable than the river

Fingers crossed for another run of color glow Gregg Barsby Eagles in 2023. I need more of those!
The barsby eagle is way more overstable that the regular champion eagle. Both awesome
L stands for leopard as it was an Eagle flight plate and a leopard rim
