The cost for the Kickstarter campaign will be around 200$, and the lifespan of the LEDS is 50,000 hours. This means you could use it 6 hours a day for 22 years :) We have also made the lamp out of an aluminium alloy which is a heat dissipator, so heat shouldn't be a problem either
Agreed, so many of the youtubers already suggest one of the Neatfi Lamps that around 130€ here in Germany. I just have a difficult seeing this being worth it compared to buying a cheap lamp and getting the right bulbs for half the price.
Well if you want to see it in use, watch Amy video I have made since this review. I use it for lighting my studio because the colour balance saves so much time in colour grading. You can see the arm behind all the printers I review. It's used to light those printers in all product shots
I have been thinking of purchasing a decent task lamp for ages, I also been bouncing between the Redgrass lamp and the Greenstuff Worlds Arch Desklamp. Even though I think they both fulfill a slightly different purpose, They both do essentially do the same thing: light up my hobby desk area whilst painting. Would love to see a GSW provisional review with your initial thoughts on which you would prefer.
I sorry, but I won’t touch Green Stuff World products anymore. We reviewed their paint, which I initially paid for, and they had a go at us for saying it was average. Breaking news: average paint is average
I'd be really interested in your opinion of Godox es45 light, it is much different ergonomics and CRI 96+ with color balance 2800K-6500K and 1% increments. Meant for E-Sports Gaming + camera capture of face, but Turned towards the table makes a great soft light being a ~9x11 sheet of paper size diffuser
I'm interested to see that you used it effectively while it was clamped to the front of your desk, as that would be the only option availabe to me. It would be better if it came with a base unit, but I'll see what the full measurements are when the kickstarter launches before I decide to back it or go for an arch lamp.
@@TronsTableTop oh yeah lol! i'm an idiot. never seen that in a tasklamp. it;s pretty hefty so unless they make a base, doubtful. the thread looked fairly standard though so it could work with an independent stand
@@FauxHammer Well, unless it's much heavier then a 20" Neatfi using a table stand won't be a problem. But ofc, if one's using a light weight pvc stand, then well, even an Ikea lamp won't work^^
i won't buy anything again from them....i ordered a wet pallet 2 and i had to wait 7months!!! That's annoying but what is totally disappointing is how the customer is managed. No updates, no compensations, no discounts, no small gadgets to show understanding for the situation.
I get you had a bad experience but 7mo this is a short time for a Kickstarter in fitness. I’ve been waiting 18 months on one of my campaigns. They also had the global shipping crisis post covid to deal with
Dude I ordered wet pallet day it was released on Kickstarter we all had to wait, considering there’s a war and a pandemic and they did keep people updated on the Kickstarter page I think they did a bloody good job even getting it out and shipped in 7months when englands post was 4 weeks behind for letters from a town 90mins away

Yeah, that was my initial thought comparing it to the task lamp I use at the moment. This looks like it’s designed more for big desks and those who want a lot of reach.
I don't think it;s too much for what it is, no other lamp I've ever seen can render as much colour as the sun as this one can. but yes, it;s very expensoive

Cost is the ultimate decision maker.
Are the lights/globes easily replaced?
Does the light generate much heat?

Do t think you can replace the bulbs. No noticeable heat
Signed up for kickstarter notification. Thanks.
Awesome, thank you!
Thank you! :)
@@redgrass no! Thank You!
For me the big thing to decide on this will be price. It doesnt look cheap and I cant justify spending a tonne of money on a lamp even if its great

I use one from Amazon which cost me £45. It’s got no complaints from me :).
considering their wetpalette is above 50$....
@@enricobononi8655 To be fair I think their wet palette is actually worth the money
Yeah I hear you

@@FauxHammer Graham that's a fair comment. Redgrass Task-Lamp it is then lol.
I'd definitely be tempted by one if it had a gooseneck rather than the angle poise... oh and a good price point...
Gooseneck! That’s the word I couldn’t think of!
I got one of these paid out to me instead of charging for a commission I'm pretty excited
I don't know what they means, but cool!
@FauxHammer Omg you spoke to me lol! instead of charging money for a commission I asked for the lamp.
@@wiseriotau lol, I always try to reply to comments!! What a cool way to get hands on with a great product!!!!

looks nice, I've not tested one, but i do like Godox studio lights.
I would love to see you do one on the new solo about to come to kickstarter

That’s quite uncommon for this type of light, but I will send the feedback
I'd love a base for the same scenario!
Will there be other ways to have it on a desk? Not sure the clamp would fit around my desk
I don't know any other ways a lamp would clamp to a desk.

Looks great, but it all depends on the price. Plenty of good lights out there, but most are way over priced.
Very true
Damn shame it does not come with a proper base option or I would have ordered it :(
They may add it
I'm curious... specially for the price. But RedGrass don't send lamp for review in french.
I'm sure they will.
Hi! We have sent lamps to several French painters including, salairefigurines, Tael_painting, French wargame studio and more :)
I bet this costs a small fortune. Over £200 and a long wait to get one.
not sure on price yet, but to be fair, for this quality, when compared to equivalent grade lighting options in studios. £200 would be a bargain!
The Kickstarter price will be $200, and we have sorted all the testing and certifications prior to the KS so we could fulfill quicker!
I'm being waiting a lot for this light. I hope the price is not over USD $200 ...
$200?
It's to have to be half that to compete with things like Uplift lamps.
No idea about the price I’m afraid
@@FauxHammer in the last vid of ninjon he mention that is near of 200 or even more. 😭
