    It would be really interesting to see what the Kuomintang and Republic of China would have looked like under Yan's leadership rather than Chiang

    Not exactly a diamond in the dirt, but gold in a lake. His own shortcoming was his personal desire for control, but other than that, he undoubtedly deserves a place of honor for his efforts.

    My mom has Punti and Longtou Chinese from her mother's side as well as Hakka of some description in there from immigrants to Hawaii. Her great grandmother was Japanese, so we had a lot of different Asian ethnicities going on. She was 4th generation Chinese in Hawaii, so I find topics like these fascinating (but all your videos are fantastic, so thank you for all your hard work!) 🤗
