I went to see them live in Dublin once, thinking they were a bit of a joke and not knowing all that much about them. As a massive Spinners fan (and Philippe Wynne especially), they really gained my respect on this song.
Awesome track, awesome album :) EDIT: Sorry, almost forgot to say - awesome video too! Fun idea to sync E6's cover-version to gloriously retro archive footage of the original act, and nicely done too. Thumbs up for the concept and the execution :)
@vinkwick im a 70s kid and 80 punk and this is so fantastic , makes me so happy to hear the new and see the old together , , wish e6 wud redo grooveline by heatwave
No E6 did not cover Rubberband Man. Dicky V, that is what Dick Valentine's friends call him wrote the song and then made a time travel machine to give it to the Spinners so they could have another hit. He is generous that way. FYI, he also wrote Cupid for them.
Wow, this is amazing. So impressive, because the original song from this clip is actually pretty different to Electric Six's cover in tone and delivery.
@DeadNorwegianBlue I reckon it's because they seem to add a different sort of aspect to the covers - they don't aim to just repeat them but add their own flair.
What a RIOT!!!! I'm lookin' for the Spinners to round out a playlist from "back in the day"...and who's super imposed but "Electric Six" LOL....A friend in England just sent me some of their tunes...they are FUNNY...and er..."irreverent". :-) Not too bad a job here, tho. The Spinners are going on my playlist, tho!!!!!
They could have at least put up their own video performance. This video is from the Burt Sugraman show and was performed live. This audio was obviously studio mixed and altered. It's too bad the performance of the cover band has to lean on true talent to do their visual. Good work Electric Six?
I did NOT know Electric Six did this song.
So happy this makes me. The feelings that I feel.
Viva Dick Valentine! The man can do anything!
this is amazing. the sound is so full, and the Spinner's choreography really spices it up.
Brilliant, just bloody brilliant, E6 just keeps suprising me over and over again. Hit after hit after hit.

Wow, The Sync is perfect. Nice Job. I always thought this was a great cover tune also.
Awesome track, awesome album :)

This is AWESOME! I'm not mad at this at all! It aint the Spinners, but they did a pretty good job covering this classic. RESPECT!

Electric Six is amazing as always
See these dudes at the Metro in Sydney. August. Do this song Valebne...
So damn groovy you can't get it out of your head!!
It's as though E6 recorded this cover purely to sync it perfectly against the original footage.
Aw thats too bad, I love their videos. Heck I got into this band because of the awesome video for Danger: High Voltage.
This is just Art... 👍 Great video.
This is perfect - just the kind of thing I needed today!
This is fantastic. I love this remake great job for sure
Of COURSE E6 covered Rubberband Man. Of course they did.

This is, indeed, the most Epic compilation / music video i have ever seen. Applause.
Wow, this is amazing. So impressive, because the original song from this clip is actually pretty different to Electric Six's cover in tone and delivery.

Awesome cover!
great tune , also featured as song of the week in my blog bilingual randomness
most wonderful song , think i may drink my tea now
The footage makes this song so much greater
While I'm not a fan of this particular cover, I do appreciate the work that went into making the video....the synchronization is awesome!
@DeadNorwegianBlue I reckon it's because they seem to add a different sort of aspect to the covers - they don't aim to just repeat them but add their own flair.
Radio (2003)
That movie is amazing
This should be their music video, it's great.
This is perfect.

Wow your lip synching editing skills are AMAZING, its like they're actually singing the exact song the band is...
... o, it's a cover. >.>
This is still the greatest thing you've ever done.
This video is superb.
Zodiac needs to come out already!

It's beautiful! U da man
@vinkwick nice sync!:)))

I wish I could like LIKE this video every time I watch it. It would have about 10,000 likes by now.
@5uper5ha Same here, and they ALWAYS entertain!
@vinkwick they made a video for Infected Girls.
Are you Fuckin' Kidding ME!!!!!
@DanBlabbers
It is now.
original version is all one requires
But not all one has to settle for. Great cover.
I agree..But this is hilarious video!! I don't really care for E6 but this is very funny😂
I think ur missing the point, and a few other things as well.
Why is E6 so good at making covers?
I wish they would come through Columbus again.
I think Star Lord would approve.
Not enough rubber bands used in live performances anymore.
hey lucas
Fucking perfect.
----|-- The Exorcist Approved.
--|--- The Exorcist II Acknowledges.
Does this band have any bad songs.
I have yet to hear one.
Is this the official music video?
People in the crowd died a long time ago
I think of Stripes when I hear this song
add a 1 and 2 zeros behind that view count
sorry people I'm not sure what's going here please explain I'm new to thi
I have to wear a Jonny every time I hear this or I'll jizz my pants. Oh yeah.
Here from Avengers ;)
I'm sure the spinners got paid for the use of...everything lol
You guys are just off. In a good way.
Wierd how wearing boots makes black guys dance like white guys...
The vocal is NOT from this performance!! This has been overdubbed. These vocals are NOT the Spinners.
+Crash64100 You don't say?
hence why it says electric six
gee thanks captain obvious
What you mean is it's not electric six in the video. The Spinners are in the video.
Trying to figure out who the actual troll is in this thread.

Ben Hammond Electric six didn't make this video, the uploader did it himself. Look at how stupid you are.
fucking great voice ...... i love it
