Driver crashes car into child's bedroom in Tacoma home on Christmas Day

- A family in Tacoma is looking for a new place to live after when a car rammed into their home, crashing into a child’s bedroom on Christmas Day.
"We're just like man, we've been here for so long, and now we're like, this isn't home anymore," said resident Tiffany Martinez.
Martinez said she is still in disbelief by an unforgettable Christmas night, when a car drove straight into her apartment, located in the 6600 block of South Tyler Street, and through the wall of her daughter's bedroom.
The driver ran away from the scene and Tacoma police are investigating what led up to the crash.

I saw this accident take place on the way back from our families house. It’s a miracle nobody was in that room. Thankful everyone was OK ❤️🙌 scary as a parent

The city transportation planning department should think about designing concrete protective barriers on the outside of the side walks where the round abouts are constructed. This could help protect the walkers and the apartment structure.
BTW, the young mother that was killed in the park down the way from this corner is tragic! I pray the community comes together at the boys& girls club to have a community meeting.. other options are to do nothing and let it become worse. 😢🎉🎉🎉 injustices against mothers.
