or maybe people actually like the decade of fashion? i’ve liked 80s fashion since 2010 (long before stranger things was even a thing) and it’s when my mom and dad grew up so i follow them… also you might wanna check ur spelling before you assume.
The mobile phones and social interaction. I´m 14 and live without mobile phone for 5 weeks now. It´s so much more fun. I also dress like 80s and listen to dire straits, bruce springsteen etc. It´s so much better I hope this comes back. Btw I write with my computer homeschooling yk
02:17 - multiple polos layered and tucked. Also seen pics of polos layered under button-up shirts, all tucked. The 80s was a tucked-in decade for sure.
I was there for it all. Ask me anything. Very fashion conscious at that time (my whole teenage years). There was a slight shift in the "look" between the early 80s and the late 80s.
Sebastien Sade thank you! Wondering what are some 80s clothes I can wear that aren’t too bright that might make people think I’m gay or something, but clothes that are just enough to show my love for the 80s.
@@brianpatrickofficial That's a loaded question, sorry. There were a lot of different "looks," as we called them for teenagers and young adults that marked you out as belonging to one group or another---nerds, preppy, the cool rockers, or punk-rockers, ethnic "urban" look, and the good ol' country boy look. Generally today, that might evoke the 80s---denim for men. Snug jeans, jean jacket ( every guy had to have one then!) cut-offs, which was literally taking a pair of jeans and taking scissors and cutting the legs off to make shorts. The older, and more faded, ripped, and ragged, the better. If you wanted to look super cool in the 80s, you'd attach a few chains, either around the waist or around the jacket from collar to shoulders. Shoes: plain, leather, or synethic-leather, white athletic shoes without a lot of colorful accents. Nikes, Rebooks, or New Balance. High-tops, but below the ankle shoes were also cool. The brighter white, the better. Shirts: either t-shirts with a logo---especially 80s rock-band shirts, or a buttoned dress shirt worn unbuttoned all the ay, almost like a jacket, over a plain solid-color t-shirt. Plain black or dark brown leather belt. Blue jeans were the main choice for pants as either long, or as shorts. Sorry if confusing, the 80s had a wide variety of "looks."
Depends on what part of the 1980s. I was there for it all. 1979-1984: shorts cut right up into the crotch, and hugged the azz. 1985-1990: shorts grew slightly longer to mid-thigh. Correspondingly, early 80s, socks reached to the knee for both men and women. For men, they were always white, with or without stripes. For women, any color. Late-80s, socks shortened to ankle-length, and shorts got a couple inches longer.
In the "now" it works equally fine, tbh. Put on a full disco getup - bell bottoms, matching leisure coat, viscose or polyester open-collar shirt, and see how much more female curiosity you attract. -)) The Glam Metal aesthetic is also certifiably "magnetic".
@@triprs4896 You're referencing the early to mid 1980s. The style changed in the mid-80s. The early 80s had a lot of hold-over trends from the late 70s. The late 80s foreshadowed the trends of the 90s.

in the 80s you have to look like an homosexual in order to attract women
