Lovely video, Ru. I really enjoy your swatching videos. You should try Diamine Blue Velvet. A lovely, saturated, vibrant blue. One of my favourites. I would love to see some deep purple swatches soon. Thank you for another lovely video.
Thank you! Blue Velvet looks nice, I'll have to try that one. There are 2 more blue videos on the horizon (grey blues and teals/turquoises), but then I'll move on to purple swatches!
Great video! I love that you included some teals in there as well. Out of my entire ink collection, I think it would be safe to say that about 90% are blue or blue-ish. The only ones I have from your video are kon-peki, the first iroshizuku ink that was ever recommended to me) and the one from the purple inkvent calendar (festive cheer???). My initial favourite blue is Pelikan 4001 - Turquoise since it’s as close as I can get to Sheaffer Peacock blue that I fell in love with during my childhood. I love the iroshizuku inks and I’ll use them when inspiration strikes, but none of them are my go-tos. The blues that I gravitate towards the most are Montblanc The Blues Collection, which has Ultramarine, Maya Blue and Egyptian Blue. I fell so deeply in love with it, in spite of the $100/set cost for three 30ml bottles, I bought _every_ set that I could find, which was quite a feat because it was already discontinued once I came upon it. The sets have been boxes up in their original bubble wrap since I received them a couple of years ago, until I moved recently and needed to organize my collection. I had no clue that in addition to my open set, that I have five factory sealed sets. Hopefully they maintain their high quality until I get around to needing them! My other favourite ‘blue’ (teal) that I bought a few bottles of is Pelikan Edelstein Apatite, which was an ink of the year, so again, not one that will be around forever. I wish I bought a few more bottles if it, but since they’re 50ml each, hopefully I’ll have it for a while until I discover a new favourite
Thank you for your comment! I hope the special Montblanc ones you have will stay in good condition and will last you a while. While I understand that not all inks can be sold forever, it's always a little sad if a favourite gets discontinued. Pelikan Turquoise and Apatite both look very pretty, it seems I've been sleeping on Pelikan inks and should try them at some point.
All the blues look so lovely! I really must use blue more often.
Thanks for swatching these! =D I love all your content.
Great video as always. I don't write with blue often but my favourite has been Diamine Asa blue.
Thank you! That's a very pretty blue ink 😊
