I just love Diamine inks. They are affordable and the colors are wonderful and so underrated. I remember salamander was one of my first ink samples. I ended up getting a bottle of “classic green” instead. I will have to think about salamander again. And Graphite. I love greys!
I have Graphite and it's one of my favorites that I grab when I want a black, but not a black. it's like a charcoal type color. I have Salamander, I love the greenish gray inks a lot. I definitely want to try Cherry Sunburst. It is beautiful. It's the color I kept looking at. Id like to try Sepia too. Thank you for sharing these. They are all really pretty.
Looking forward to the Opera Rose comparisons; I still haven't tried that one! Samples are hard to come by, and though I'm usually impulsive with buying bottles, I've managed to hold off. Cherry Sunburst looks gorgeous here.
Wonderful! I wonder if you could show individual close-ups of each swatch on these swatching videos? It's a little difficult to tell exactly what these look like when you have older eyes. Not too old, but 64 year old eyes... Soon to be 65 year old eyes! LOL!@@lianelikes
Cherry Sunburst and Sepia for the win. I have a sample of Salamander but have not tried it in a pen yet. Everyone needs at least one Kakuno in their collection!
I am always looking forward to your ink swatch videos! If you like red leaning browns, you might also like Ferris Wheel Press Steeped Umber (one of my favorite inks) and Herbin Café des iles.
Hi Liane! What a wonderful swatchy video! I’m a big fan of Salamander and Cherry Sunburst, and recently got a Red Robin 12mL bottle because the color looked so interesting. The rest of these are going on the list now. And what a great selection of pens too. These combos all look like winners to me. 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
Great video Liane, Happy new year! I have Diamine salamander and sepia and both are lovely inks. Very taken with the cherry sunburst so will probably get a bottle of that next month. Enjoy your pens and inks. Happy writing!
Have you tried out the Platinum Classic light iron gall inks? I love the way they go down light and then darken as they dry and oxidize into the page. I think you might really like the Forest Black!
Yes, I would love to try Forest Black! I have tried Citrus Black and think it's a great ink, though I am afraid to use Iron gall inks because I hear they're hard to clean if left too long in pens?
Happy new year! It's tough to find a red ink that isn't overly orange-y or a really dark pink. I think the closest I've gotten are Diamine Poppy Red and Diamine Wild Strawberry. Yay for Pilot Kakuno's! Those are great pens, whether you're a beginner in the hobby or not, and especially for the price! Thanks for the video.
The Diamine guitar inks (Cherry Sunburst is one of them) all make my brown loving heart a flutter but I've never actually brought any of them. This video is making me regret my restraint 😅
Aren’t pilot kakunos just the best?!? I love them so much. And love this color palette! Another yellow I love and think would be a good match for that sarasa is diamine brandy snap!
Thanks for another great video. I too add things to my shopping cart to get free shipping. So I don't want to come off as holier-than-thou in this comment. But I *try* to resist and *sometimes* I succeed. And on those sometimes occasions, it feels really good. I'm writing this comment, in part, to remind myself of how good it felt so that I can access that feeling the next time I'm in that situation. This is a mind game that help me: I tell myself that the shipping fee is a carbon offset. In many other situations I'm willing to pay a carbon offset so why not this situation. If it isn't clear to you or your viewers how my mind can equate a shipping fee with a carbon offset, here is how it works: it is a carbon offset because there is a carbon savings for my not having purchased more stuff, each item having its own carbon footprint to manufacture and ship. It's also an offset because each of those extra items that I did not purchase would have added weight to the package increasing the carbon footprint of mailing me the package. I so appreciate your videos. Happy New Year.

Oooh I might need to try out the salamander color! Always love your swatching.
Thank you! You should really consider Salamander. :)
I totally just ordered a bottle of it, thanks again for sharing! @@lianelikes

Thanks so much! Glad to hear that Graphite is one of your favorites. Might very well be my go-to "black" ink :)
Immediately ordered a 80ml bottle of cherry sunburst. Beautiful colour❤

I agree! Can't wait!!!
Thanks, I'm going to work on that video shortly!

@@craft-o-matic399 that’s great feedback, I will definitely provide close-ups as well! Allows everyone to have a better look at the different inks!
@@lianelikes Thank you Liane! ♡
I am loving Graphite, Salamander, and Sepia. Pilot Kakuno for the win
Kakunos for the win!
Great colors! I think I’m going to need to try the Graphite. 😊
I really think you should, it is a wonderful off-black ink.
Cherry Sunburst and Sepia for the win. I have a sample of Salamander but have not tried it in a pen yet. Everyone needs at least one Kakuno in their collection!
Yes, I agree! Kakunos are a must-have for all FP enthusiasts.
Hi friend! So nice to see you on YT today! That Salamander is lovely👌
Happy New Year, thanks Lorelei! Yes, I am LOVING Salamander.
I loooove cherry sunburst! It was one of my first inks. I got it because ancient copper wasn’t available in my country at the time.
Cherry sunburst is so delightful!
I am always looking forward to your ink swatch videos! If you like red leaning browns, you might also like Ferris Wheel Press Steeped Umber (one of my favorite inks) and Herbin Café des iles.
I have tried Steeped Umber, but haven't tried Cafe des iles, thanks for the rec!

I have the salamander, and I LOVE that ink! One of my absolute favorites! ❤
I am so glad to hear that! I can see why so many folks love this ink.

So nice to see a video from you, Liane! Sepia is such a great colour. I feel like I jumped forward 4 steps by not having a Pilot Kakuno lol.
Thank you, Felicia! Happy New Year!
this looks stunning ☺☺☺
Thanks!

Pilot Kakunos are the best, I forget how much I love them!
Yes, I've heard the same about Brandy Snap, will give that a try!
Think we like the same inks.😊 Enjoyed this.
Yay, thank you!
