    I bet that if you dip in boiling water then let them cool it would work and be quite quick at the same time too!

    If I wanted to just have curly dreads temporarily would you recommend doing those curl wraps on wet dreads, instead of steam sealing? I have a head full of permanent installed Kanekalon synthetic dreads (we cut out the ends as my hair grows and eventually I will have a full head of my own) so I would be doing it IN my hair. TIA.. You're very talented!

    why wouldn't u just put that on a roller n dip it in hot water?

    • @doctoredlocks
      @doctoredlocks  7 років тому +1

      Great question! This method of rod dipping allows you to do multiples on the same rod at the same time, and it also allows you to have a looser curl by not winding it as tightly. :)

      They will relax over time, but can easily be recurled again :)

    Does this method work on wool dreads?

    • @doctoredlocks
      @doctoredlocks  2 роки тому

      No, you need the synthetics because as they cool, it sets the shape.
      Wool and human hair won't work this way, unfortunately.

    do these stay cyrly when you wash them or do you have to do it again?

    • @doctoredlocks
      @doctoredlocks  7 років тому +1

      The absolutely stay curly! :) They will relax if you wash them in hot water, but as long as your temps are cooler, then they curls will stay pretty darn tight!

      Great question! I was also looking for an answer to another question...
      About how long do the curls stay in?

    • @doctoredlocks
      @doctoredlocks  4 роки тому

      They will loosen over time, but they will stay curly until you do another hot water dip to straighten them.

    You know you can just use whatever size curling rods you want & steam or hot water. It's easier, faster, safer & smarter.

    • @kathryncastanares525
      @kathryncastanares525 7 років тому +2

      Actually, this method is used for the purpose of curling multiple at one. which make the entire process much faster with less effort and hassel. It tedious and time consuming using rods as well as not very useful when you have long dreads that wont all fit on a single rod.

    • @thexcharmer

      It's so much easier to dissect other people's procedures. micromanage yourself.
