I bet that if you dip in boiling water then let them cool it would work and be quite quick at the same time too!
Yes, absolutely!
It does.. That's how we curl and seal any synthetic hairstyle.
Thank you sooooo much I've been looking for a method to curl my dreads for ages! Thanks!
Yay! Excellent!!
I love watching your videos! You're so creative and a great teacher. I wanted to learn to make synthetic dreadlocks to install on myself. I'm so inspired by your videos! ;-)
Thank you so much for the kind words. :) That means so much to me. I'm glad I could help. :)
Kanekalon looks best👍 not saying the others didn’t look good as well
thank you very much, i learn a lot from your videos.
You are super duper welcome!!!
wow i LOVE these...so much gunna have a go thankyou for sharing xxx
You are very welcome :)
Can you also show how to make the "soft" wavy dreads that look like beach wave hair?
Absolutely! Just follow this tutorial ua-cam.com/video/cJmvJnFbeSg/v-deo.html
I love Videos! The so much!
If I wanted to just have curly dreads temporarily would you recommend doing those curl wraps on wet dreads, instead of steam sealing? I have a head full of permanent installed Kanekalon synthetic dreads (we cut out the ends as my hair grows and eventually I will have a full head of my own) so I would be doing it IN my hair. TIA.. You're very talented!
Awww, thank you for the kind words!!
@@doctoredlocks thanks so much 🤗 much appreciated. I'll have to give a few pieces a try 🥰
Anytime! If you have any additional questions, just send them my way :)
te agradezco por subir esto .. ♥♥
You are welcome!! :)
why wouldn't u just put that on a roller n dip it in hot water?
Great question! This method of rod dipping allows you to do multiples on the same rod at the same time, and it also allows you to have a looser curl by not winding it as tightly. :)

Neat!
Thanks! :)
Is it permenent curly ??
They will relax over time, but can easily be recurled again :)
Is the iron better or easier than dipping the dowel in hot water?
The iron will penetrate deeper into the core of the dread with steam.
@@doctoredlocks thanks for getting back to me!
Absolutely!
How long do the curls last?
They will relax over time, but can easily be recurled again :)
Does this method work on wool dreads?
No, you need the synthetics because as they cool, it sets the shape.
Wool and human hair won't work this way, unfortunately.
@@doctoredlocks ok, thank you so much for letting me know!
do these stay cyrly when you wash them or do you have to do it again?
The absolutely stay curly! :) They will relax if you wash them in hot water, but as long as your temps are cooler, then they curls will stay pretty darn tight!
Great question! I was also looking for an answer to another question...
About how long do the curls stay in?
They will loosen over time, but they will stay curly until you do another hot water dip to straighten them.
Where do you get this rod? Lol
I made them! Follow this video to make your own ua-cam.com/video/WYoiHt4CaYk/v-deo.html
You know you can just use whatever size curling rods you want & steam or hot water. It's easier, faster, safer & smarter.
Actually, this method is used for the purpose of curling multiple at one. which make the entire process much faster with less effort and hassel. It tedious and time consuming using rods as well as not very useful when you have long dreads that wont all fit on a single rod.
It's so much easier to dissect other people's procedures. micromanage yourself.
