Когда круто- тогда круто! Классный способ вязки "турецкой головы" на кисти руки! Сразу чувствуются традиции английского парусного флота. Про Библию узлов Эшли вспоминается.
Seeing this done with a much larger rope will help more than all the other videos I've watched on smaller rope like paracord or similar! This was so much easier for older eyes to perceive! And using your thumb as part of the jig!!!
I have watched numerous examples of executing this knot. they all used para-cord and it was very difficult to follow. By using the heavier cordage I was able to finally get it, thank you.
Around 0:50 working the second free end the demonstrator seems to lose the light and its hard to see his exact placement of the cord. Spoils a neat demonstration. That was viewed on cheap cell phone though. The group producing these videos look like they do some interesting work.
Sunchaser has cloth ears. Evidently no Field Guide material there. It was clearly stated and specifically to attach Compass etc as also mentioned below by others
I just have to add: yes, he did cover his thumb while placing the half hitch over it but if you can't pause the video at 24 seconds and see the half hitch and how it's sitting there then you shouldn't be trying to tie knots.
I think you might be referring to the modification of a Matthew Walker knot usually called a Manrope Knot. Used in Cat 'O Nine Tails. (Naval Field Punishment I think)
Compare with another video then i see you made one mistake . That's why i got so hard to pull to finish this knot bro . Please check again !one more comment same like me
Doesn't having to have both ends so close make this really useless? I would regard an Alpine Butterfly much easier and more useful. Oh and what makes it a Lanyard? This is not a Lanyard.
I tried doing it this way 10 times and it never looked right. I found another video and in that one they did it a little different at the end, and it came out right first try. watch?v=1WyScVv799k&feature=relmfu
Thank you so much this tutorial has helped me a ton I was so confused watching other videos but you made it so simple and so much clearer!
This is the best tutorial on this, the half hitch over the thumb makes it easy to remember which way the loop goes. Thanks so much.

Nice looking knot. Is it binding?
My Christmas lights tie themselves into that knot every year!!

It has no purpose
Nice vid!
Is that the same as a fiador knot?
Correct. This is close but not a laynard knot.
Why do you cover the knot at the critical parts! :)
the carrick bend you refer to is actually a double carrick bend slightly different than a single carrick bend
Thats about F_____ up. What do you do with it !
could you please illustrate it's use?
eindelijk nu gaatie goed tanx man

Your hands block a lot of the steps. Also, if you could zoom out a bit that would also help in seeing what is going on. Thanks.
A great way to tie this knot !!
Great! Thank you!
To whom it may concern: this knot is merely decorative. It's a beautiful knot, but there's a more elaborated version of it.
Thank you. I like it.
Так это же ,,бриллиантовый узел,,.
This knot is not finished correctly. Each tail end needs to pass around behind the running part before it goes through the center of the knot.
Я поддерживаю. (I maintain)
nice knot …
Muy bueno el nudo gracias por compartirlo.
Most excellent!
who else did knot understand?
This is a 3l x4b Turks head made with 2 cords
These were used to fight with and whip people.

Ima use this as my anchor knot for rescue just to see my bosses reaction.
The knot you have tied is a footrope knot
Your right hand gets in the way, I can't see what you are doing.
0.58 made me think of David Guetta

Hi
ややこしいだけ
That is what I call a complicated knot and useless:-((
What a frigging mess; is this a comedy vid? The knot is bigger than a tennis ball; there are far simpler and smaller reliable knots then THIS joke.
