- Casa Amadeo has been a cornerstone of the Latin community in the Longwood section of the Bronx since 1941. And since 1969, Miguel “Mike” Amadeo has been at the helm with records to sell and stories to tell.

I would love to pay him a visit. My Dad played professional baseball, but loved his music. I now have his L.P.s from the 60’s-80’s. Most of the baseball players collect music as a hobby. My Mom grew up in Tras Talleres, Santurce, with Andy Montañez’s family so what can I say….music runs on both sides. Thank you for sharing and God bless Mr. Amadeo. 👏🏽😁🇵🇷😁👏🏽

Back in the 50's to mid 60's I lived in the building 782 next to Mike's store. But he hadn't open the store yet. If I remember correctly there used to be a men's hat store in the location where Amadeo's is now located. I wish I had a picture of the street before it burned down.
