Thank you so much I’m a 9th grader and I seen kids at the gym doing crazy things with trainers and wasn’t sure if I was training hard enough or properly but now I now I know what I need to do to get to where I want to be, thanks man 🙏

This is a video I definitely needed back 10 yrs ago when I was playing in hs. When I was graduating and going to college there were a few popular trainers that picked up a lot of traction and I thought I needed to buy their programs in order to get better. Of course I didn't have the money to pay for it and was somewhat lost on how to workout. In hindsight of course I see how simple the workouts had to be in order to get better. Now today I know better and try to help out kids who I see doing exactly what you said. A lot of harden step backs after doing 3 in and outs, behind the back cross between the legs. They usually don't listen but hey at least I tried. Great video per usual

kids/parents want the highlight reel stuff in ball, i train kids and alot of it is about understanding concepts, recognizing situations and how to attack them whether scoring or passing. Alot of parents pull their kids because they want to see their kid drop 20-25 and thats not for everyone in fact 87% of kids arent getting those type of opportunities...
but every kid can catch and shoot, box out, pass and cut, screen and roll, rebound, push the ball in transition, swing it in half court move off the ball and run the floor....and more kids need to master those things and slowly build the rest of their game to an acceptable level...
everyone in ball wants to score/shoot; that lane is packed, and packed w/very very good players, all the other lanes..esp passing defending and rebounding are wide open...and if u can impact games w/out scoring u will eventually get opp to show that u can contribute shooting/scoring as well...

I’m pretty sure we’ve all had to do this at one point, I used to be outside for 3-4 hours at a time 😂 Keep working, the gym isn’t necessary
