On reflection, you (Victorians) are welcome to come here (rest of Australia). By excluding you (Victorians) we are no different than the mandates our governments have created. And that’s wrong. Each individual are entitled to make up their own minds. In a free and fair world we welcome different ideas and ideologies and we accept and celebrate our differences. That’s the Australia I want. Freedom of views, speech, ideas and tolerance to those who differ from you. That said, I hope we all learn from this in one way or another.
I am Belgian and live far away from Melbourne, but these images also make me sad. We experienced about the same madness here. We are inundated daily with fear porn in the mainstream media to brainwash us, but we don't get to see images like this. Thanks to the poster of these images and the impression they give us, caused by the devastating government measures. For this destruction we will all, (the average bloke), have to pay a high price, which will put our hard-won wealth and well-being under serious pressure, as a result of which our health care will also suffer. I don't doubt that.
You can thank the people who voted for the socialist, progressive politicians who are willingly inflicting this misery on the people of Melbourne under the pretext of protecting the public. Every single person who voted for Dan and his ilk are responsible. They voted with their social consciences instead of with their brains and the shit that was once Melbourne is the result. The fact it was near empty makes it difficult not to comply. The locals should be there in their 1000s telling the authoritarians where to stick their rules.
Its easy to say but when you are on the spot and with others it is so much nicer to sit in a defined area. I'm a press photographer, I spend my days shooting Melbourne, the protests, and Dan (Well I stopped doing that - it was too much) and you've beautifully captured our city as it stands today. It's so upsetting to see what we did to it.
@David Hewison who is telling the media not to report the reality? E.g. 30 out of 38 covid patients in R.A.H. are double vxd. 1 in 3 young men are getting myocard/pericard etc etc. The French called journalists and media the Fourth Estate but where are they in Australia? None of them are doing their job.
I called Melbourne home for 7 years. I left in 2019 while it was still a vibrant and unique little pocket of Australia. It breaks my heart to see what it has become. I don't believe it will ever return back to it's original state. Too much has been destroyed, not just businesses, but the hearts, minds and souls of the people.
It became a latte sipping PC city. Gentrification made it even worse. People thinking they’re rich because their homes went up in value but losing something of the simple things of life.
It's all gone because nearly everyone is scared and compliant. I saw a sign that said the following.. You comply because you want it to end but it's because you comply that it will never end. If you think for even a second that 3 jabs of a mystery liquid will set you free you deserve everything coming your way.
The "mystery liquid", lets call it what it is, its a vaccine. We are vaccinated for many things in our lifetime, viruses like Hepatitis, Tetanus, Polio, HPV, Pneumococcal, etc. These don't guarantee that you will never experience any of these, but notice that these aren't wide spread like covid is? That's because we have reached herd immunity by vaccinating and giving booster shots to (nearly all) people. Vaccines help your immune system to teach (for lack of better word without me having to explain t cells and stuff) itself how to fight against it, so that if the body does actually catch the virus, the immune system can fight it off so that you experience, less severe or no symptoms from it and are much less likely to spread it to someone else. The covid vaccines are there to do the same thing. They have been researched and approved by science facilities that are experienced, dedicated and knowledgeable enough to manufacture these vaccines (which have undergone procedures to test that they are as safe as they can be and are effective, and they are transparent about the effectiveness and potential risks, how common they are, what to do if you experience side effects etc). So please don't reduce it to merely a mystery liquid. Plagues, viruses, diseases have always had horrible impacts on society throughout history and in the majority of cases, these have been close to eradicated due to vaccines (or in the case of the bubonic plague, herd immunity was achieved by killing nearly 50% of Europe's population until the virus basically ran out of hosts to reproduce from, which I doubt anyone wants to happen). I'm sorry this sounds a little condescending and PC, that isn't my intent, I just wanted to explain my point as clearly as I can using the general knowledge I have.
Victoria Police had it's biggest recruitment ever in 2018-2019 - 2,729 general duties + 100 PSO's. They also got a pay rise at the start. Dan Andrews knew exactly what was going to happen.
That’s why Jade Helm was so important in the USA. They were training to fight their own civilians. Go look that up and it was of course a conspiracy theory at the time…
Andrews is obviously recruiting his own private army under the disguise of being Victoria Police. I imagine that after Andrews is gone from Victorian politics, whoever will be the new premier will then sack the Chief Police Commisioner of Victoria Police because has too had colluded with Andrews and given the police force a bad name by allowing and instructing police officers to attack, assault, and arrest innocent members of the community. Now we have a police force that is behaving like Hitler’s army.
@@rileydonovan1631 Who knows? If they are forced to be jabbed and refuse, they might end up sacked and Chairman Dan’s “Police Army” will be greatly reduced. It will be interesting to see if any cops refuse to get vaccinated and end up resigning in protest or are sacked.
Thanks for sharing that Gill. It looks shocking on camera but actually being there is even worse. It has such an oppressive energy over it and I just pray the truth blows the lid off of all of it sooner rather than later. In the meantime I pray you find yourself a safe and happy sanctuary you can call home. Xox

I remember when our Mayor issued a curfew in NYC for a couple of weeks. Not sure if he really thought anyone was going to comply. But even cops in certain parts of NYC boroughs took it lightly. I even drank a beer with one on duty while I was barbecuing when I should have been ticketed for not only being out passed the curfew, but for having an open container in public and a large gathering of maybe 50 or more people, noise pollution, public intoxication for half the guests. I mean, there are those who understand the meaning of living life and then you have those who are just cops with no life following orders for really no reward…just a paycheck.

These people are dangerous idiots to themselves and everyone else around them, the cops are there to protect them as well as people around them.
@@rockstar450 amazing. We now live in a society where everyone is concerned of their neighbors health. I should ask my neighbor to contribute towards mine and my family monthly medical insurance bill. If the government were so concerned of others protecting others, then why not more diets are being promoted to prevent diabetes, heart disease, cancer? Why allow tobacco to be sold? Why is distribution of alcohol for consumption still allowed? That is poison we choose to consume but is still proven to be fatal if even done responsibly over a long period of time. @Joe Blo a few reasons why I had to shut doors mate. Being a retail shop, I couldn't just choose to open without copping massive fines. Also, if I was to open, customers themselves would be breaching the rules and they too could be liable to fines and worse. Second to this, my stock availability was limited due to production both here In Australia and overseas thanks to covid and all these bloody lockdowns and restrictions. If I chose to go against the rules , it would have been more a stand my ground scenario, but the knock on the door from the police shortly after would have quickly dissolved any feelings of strength that I had. I'm not bigger than the system and I didn't have the ammunition to fight. Can't just hypothetically talk about every business banding together to stick the middle finger up to the system . I first hand have experienced the wrath of the law for breaching covid rules at my business. I quickly learned that I needed to sit and obey. Disgusting isn't it. It damages you mate, inside , I'm telling you for a fact. I actually almost have tears in my eyes everyday because of it , if I'm being truthful. I count my blessings that I'm alive and have a long future ahead of me, but it is a situation that I wish on no one. Defeated mate, fucking defeated. Have to soldier on tho mate. Can't be waiting for a solution.. have to make a effort and change for the better. Evolve. Sink or swim. At the moment I'm bobbing around and that's ok with me.
@Joe Blo it's a very sad state of affairs my friend. Where does the buck stop? Boosters.... How many of them? I admit, I was extremely hesitant about receiving the vaccine. I only recently had my first. I'm the sort of guy that only goes to the docs if my arm has fallen off. I'm not into flu vacc etc, never had one since I was 9 years old. So my decision to get the jab, was purely made in the interests of being able to legally visit my family interstate and be able to apply for jobs since I closed my business down. I still feel extremely concerned about the mandate. It's a terrible terrible thing and I am ashamed of how the government/ media has portrayed the public approval and digestion of it all. It leave a nasty taste in my mouth I can assure you. I'm due to have my second jab this thursday, so I can't wait for that. ,😐

It absolutely breaks my heart, I lived in Melbourne for 15 years. I Work in the city, lived in Prahran & studied in South Melbourne, it was my world in that Time. I just don't recognise it Now, almost beyond belief.😥
I am born and bred in Melbourne. Everything I have loved about living here has gone. And yet some idiotic people think it's going to recover. I say it will take years not months. It's worse for those who are not taking the experimental injection too. It's depressing the energy is bleak and I too am pretty close to getting out too.
In truth, since i arrived in 2013, this city has been systematically destroyed of all its heritage and charm, that once made Melbourne famous. The city centre has become a plastic cladded tupperware collection, and everywhere i see nothing but prison grey. And worse, how about tonnes of precast concrete souless monoliths, that weather really bad. Melbournians are suffering from grey disease. They bought property in Brisbane, famous for brightly coloured adorned timber homes, because they could no longer afford anything in melbourne, as they allowed Communist chinese peasants to launder their criminal funds in property. In 2014/15 I would attend 4-5 auctions per week in Camberwell. Over 95% of buyers were CCP straight off planes with guides to help the bidding. And what did they do to Brisbane homes? They then removed all the adornments and painted them all, you guessed it, prison grey. I wanted to leave in 2019. A disease called mediademia, spread by a virus called the rectangle prevented me.
Thank you for sharing. I too am on the move from the city I once loved. The "freedom" that people are experiencing now will be short lived. The last 18 months is nothing compared to what is coming.
Heartbreaking, I can't believe that it's come to this. It's seriously confronting that Andrews has already pushed his insane bill through the lower house, and I think that the upper house will go through too, I truly hope that I'm wrong though. ❤️
I filmed the first part of this a few weeks ago when we were still in lockdown. Then the day lockdown ended those circles on the grass appeared so I had to show that. Then a couple of days later there was that cop van on a night out in St Kilda. My aim has been purely to document this time as a St Kilda resident. This is what I see on a daily basis. Gill x
Thanks for showing us...it's depressing. I'm in SA and we're relatively free, but that could change at any moment. If I had the money, I'd leave Aus. God bless you.

Good job documenting lock down damage, control through fear has resulted in a divided community, now the authoritarians want to lock that in as new normal. Bad Govt is enabled by all those that continue to get a pay check or make gains promoting bad ideas. In this case the components that led to the lock down need to be added to the collective knowledge base, for future generations to review and reflect on.
Melbournian here, I'm looking at options as well. I will hold out to the election before I decide anything, If Dan Andrews gets back in, Melbourne has learnt nothing and deserves what it gets, and I'll have to abandon relatives and move to a central European country that got rid of communism within the last 40 years, or living memory. That means abandoning my home country and extended family forever, starting fresh, and having a wife and kids calling the country I choose to reside in home. I will warn them about the horrors of Melbourne and what I've had to endure, and that they should cherish freedom above everything else, because the alternative is a horrific option. I'm scared for all of us. Many of us are paying a heavy toll for the "Free" choices we are allowed to apprently make.

Agreed
Yes
Totes
OMG this violent rapacious tyranny will go on for a THOUSAND YEARS. we are lost and destroyed
I grew up in China and what’s more heartbreaking is ppl don’t see what’s wrong with these restrictions and think they’re being protected
Victoria Police had it's biggest recruitment ever in 2018-2019 - 2,729 general duties + 100 PSO's. They also got a pay rise at the start.
Dan Andrews knew exactly what was going to happen.
I saw a bunch of armoured police vehicles get delivered around that time. They knew
That’s why Jade Helm was so important in the USA. They were training to fight their own civilians. Go look that up and it was of course a conspiracy theory at the time…
He didn't know: he was doing what he was told.

Unfortunately, the decision to call it quits was made for me, by the lockdowns. Me and my wife actually purchased a house up on the Murray as a result of all this. It was a auction via zoom call. Never been to the Murray ,but you know what.. it seems a lot more logical packing up our life and moving somewhere we have never been to before , compared to staying in this dump of a town. Sad really sad.. I will miss it. But that's the thing, it will never be the same for so many reasons. Absolutely destroyed Melbourne and many parts of the state- and for what?? Ciao , peace
Sorry to hear that mate. Dictator Dan has gone nuts
Im so sorry :(
@Joe Blo a few reasons why I had to shut doors mate.
@Joe Blo Dictator Dan was very strict in using the police to enforce the lockdown.
I'm due to have my second jab this thursday, so I can't wait for that. ,😐

Such a sad video with such a warm and happy narrator, awesome job Gillian.

That, and as Dina suggested, our society revolves around distracting ourselves with garbage tv shows on big screen tvs and other things like high level sports, expensive cars, boats, junk food etc. There's lots of bread and circus here to keep the masses distracted and compliant.
That’s not the Melbourne I left. I’m glad I got to experience Melbourne, and I’m glad I have the memory of what it was.
'The welfare of humanity is
always the alibi of tyrants"
Albert Camus
So essentially you're leaving Melbourne because it's become a police state. Tell me I'm wrong
Frustralia
No YOU'RE right go...go...
it's heartbreaking to see what the government has done to this country
Yet just watch the same people voting in the same people, just watch.
Not this country - Victorian & NSW, & Queensland to an extent
andrew....the govt HASN'T done this, in any democratic nation. we, the people, have done this. we ALLOWED it to happen. our inaction is our CONSENT for this to happen. this, being the first stage. did you ever think it would get this bad? do you really think it might not get worse? this is a playbook, except, now, most of us are political illiterates.
@@michelebourke4340 I agree and you are right, apathy is our worst enemy along with mainstream media.
And who, pray tell, elects and supports them?
If you don't like it, change it... or does that require a little too much effort?
It's all so hard and unfair.
We moved to Townsville February 2020, the best move we have ever made. Stay strong and get out of Victoria ASAP.
Half of the world went completely insane. It's harder and harder to understand how are people able to still believe all the lies and to bend so easily under the nonsensical rules...
Grew up in melbourne for 44 years, It's so sad to see how bad things are because of one man's Edict! And it's even sadder to see all the people going along with it! You can never comply your way out of tyranny no matter how hard you try!
Go home, old man
Sad sad sad, like somebody once said: When it's illegal to be free, only the illegals are free.
God bless the free in Jesus name.
Don't blame you at all, Andrews has destroyed Victoria
What about China?
The car in front of me had a number plate "VICTORIA, THE PLACE TO BE." and he was in Adelaide and probably pleased he was. 🤣😂
And the public let him. In fact they love him.
Stop blaming the politicians we voted them into office it's our fault and only we can fix it
Josh are there people still believing that there is a NOVEL virus going around killing healthy people?
Incredible a premier who can't manage his own health system, thinks he can go on leading and shackling his citizens. He needs to remove his slimy hands from any part of our lives.
FOR LEASE everywhere - all over Melbourne.... not just the CBD.
Who in their right mind would lease something
knowing the Government can shut you down at any notice?
watching this as a dutch guy . im so amazed how australia went down this route . i lived in adelaide in the 90s for 2 years , i can not understand those all off a sudden obediant aussies are the same people that i once lived among . if anything , aussies were mostly down to earth realistic thinking people , how things change . hang in there miss , loved the vid and your style very much
Heart breaking … so sad… after 40 years here we too are leaving as political refugees
You voted left, you need to stay to enjoy the results of your vote. The coof didn’t do it, the leftist government you voted for did it. Just stay and keep voting left, enjoy.
@@Staarker99 you seriously think I voted left?????? That’s a huge assumption. Not all Victorians are Marxist Zombies we unfortunately suffer from the imbeciles who voted this monster in not once but twice and I’ll bet a third and final ..
@@slipperyeel1173 haha have fun caring mate.
3:13 Yes, the rules are indeed "in place for a reason". It just isn't *that* "reason" and it never was

It will be funny when she moves to any other city in the world and discovers it is a world wide pandemic.

It has never been about peoples health safety and well being it has always been about power and control.
As a tennis fan, I've been saying the USTA/WTA needs to pull the Australian Open from Melbourne and relocate it. Dictatorships should never ever be supported by outside organizations, bringing money into them. I truly feel for the people there. There needs to be a mass uprising.
I've been saying tennis players could really be heroes by just saying NO.... not going to play in Victoria
