Seeing this video on Ventriloquism makes me think of two "Twilight Zone" episodes that deal with this very subject. One was called, "The Dummy" with an actor named Cliff Robertson (He played 'Uncle Ben Parker' in the Tobey Maguire "Spider-Man" movies), as a night club performer whose "dummy" begins to have a life all of its own, and "Caesar and Me" with Jackie Cooper, ( who played "Perry White" in two 'Superman' films), as a ventriloquist whose dummy persuades him to go into a life of crime. An episode of the show "Family Matters" where Steve Urkel has a possessed dummy called "Stevil" also comes to mind as well! 😂🤔

I was laughing so much throughout the first half of this video, I think it'd be funny no matter how many times I watch it. Then your act started, and I gotta say, for someone who just picked it up and started trying it was really good. The whole thing worked well enough for me to not focus on you too much but to look at Alejandro as a real part of the act. Nice work!
Good Lord, you're wonderful! And that was a pretty funny skit with Alejandro :) I was tortured with a ventriloquist doll's head when I was little by my brother. He said I tore Will-E-Talk up, so he kept the head. I'd get up to go to the bathroom, and there that dang head would be sitting in the middle of the hallway with his stupid dummy mouth wide open.... My brother didn't get you to do this video... did he?!?!?!! :P
It's also weird that when I watched your final routine I kept looking at the monkey for his responses even though I knew you were the one talking. I think that is apart of the mystique of ventriloquist acts is that most of the audience is vested in the puppet and begin to forget where the voice is coming from. Well done, you made awesome progress!
When I was a kid my neighbor had a copy of Jimmy Nelson's "Instant Ventriloquism" and a Danny O Day ventriloquist doll. Essentially it had a recorded monologue of the doll's lines and blank spaces in the recording where you could ask questions or make comments. But it did have a few lessons on how to pronounce difficult letters like 'B' or 'P' without moving your lips. Lots of fun.
This is my favorite vid of yours, it was absolutely amazing! I almost pooped myself when you joked about taking a giant dump :P I've always been fascinated with puppets and have a couple dozen in my collection, so it was awesome to see you cover this kind of content :)

Alejandro was born in Nicaragua, but studied in Cuba and then Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow, where he learned English and how to export revolution to the decadent West(ern Canada)

You did pretty well for your first attempt. I also watched Sherry Lewis. If you decide to continue with ventriloquism a tip for you is to have the action of the puppet help to sell the illusion you have to move the puppets mouth for each syllable and you have to over exagerate the mouth movement of the puppet because the foam and fur fabric etc makes the movement get lessened so you have to move the mouth extra wide to compensate and you also move upper and lower part of your hand in sorta a thrusting motion to operate the mouth the extra mouth movement really sells the illusion.
