- This video tour in Münster Germany(also known as Bicycle Capital) offers a great way to enjoy a walk and Münster city's beautiful Old Town ambience on a summer day in July 2020 after the reopening of many businesses in the end of April. This is Part 2 of my video series in Münster.

Münster is an independent city (Kreisfreie Stadt) in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is in the northern part of the state and is considered to be the cultural centre of the Westphalia region. It is also capital of the local government region Münsterland. Münster was the location of the Anabaptist rebellion during the Protestant Reformation and the site of the signing of the Treaty of Westphalia ending the Thirty Years' War in 1648. Today it is known as the bicycle capital of Germany. Münster gained the status of a Großstadt (major city) with more than 100,000 inhabitants in 1915. As of 2014, there are 300,000 people living in the city, with about 61,500 students
I am starting this walk at the St. Marien Überwasser Kirche then taking a slow paced walk along the St.-Paulus-Dom (Münster Cathedral), Prinzipalmarkt and shopping street, which has a nice Old Town vibe to it. I hope you can relax and enjoy this beautiful walking tour in Münster (Western Germany).

I am American born but my mom is from a small town outside of Munster. I love this city I have so many fond memories of this city from my many visits. It truly is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. I absolutely love this city!!! Love Prinzipal Markt!

I born and grew up in Munster, 25 years ago i moved to Portugal. That walks give me a sad feeling. Why I moved away. Miss MS so much . But it's also a way to see my Hometown 20years later. I grew up at Steinfurter straße and in 86 I moved to Roxel. Would love to see a walk in the Kreutzviertel and Roxel.
