Just a heads up to everyone, this guy blocks you on social media if you respectfully correct him about something he was wrong about. It's really strange.
@@artemiswallace8716 I mean, it's UA-cam. A public forum. Its not that weird. You put something out into the world, and people are gonna look for it. It's not like its a private channel. Being a Cozy nut hugger isn't working out for ya, kid.
Take this to your grave patrick vocals is kinda cool because its like he almost has the blueprints of his crazy soul voice but its not quite there yet Its very cool to see the progression of his voice
I was introduced to FOB in 4th grade when my friend's sister BLASTED From Under the Cork Tree and Take This To Your Grave on repeat while driving us around town. She ended up getting a concussion moshing at a FOB concert and it wasn't too severe luckily but I remember all us kids thinking it was SO hardcore. So many memories yet the music still hits today.
I got to see them on the TTTYG tour in Michigan and joked to Pete that I egged their van. He looked at me and said “You are a piece of absolute s**t” and punched me in the face. I tried to defend myself but he grabbed my glasses and threw them across the venue and then laughed at me. I tried not to cry but absolutely lost it and ran to the bathroom to fix myself up. After the show I apologized profusely and told him I would never joke like that again. It was an amazing show and I am grateful for Pete’s honesty and the lesson that I learned
that happened to me too, once. pete wentz threw me across a building and slammed me into the windshield of my 2002 honda accord. i still have the scars.
@@ligealucretia so sorry that happened to you 🙏 once I saw Patrick Stump at a casino and nodded and said “hey man your work is awesome” and he literally stabbed me in the face. I fell to the ground and started crying and my breathing stopped due to shock. He immediately did CPR on me until the cops came and took me to the hospital. He saved my life and I will always love him for that 🙏
I saw pete wentz at a gas station and i said “hey man i dont want to be annoying but i love your music, can i get a picture?” and he said “annoy me? Kinda like you’re doing right now?”and i went “huh?” But he kept getting in my face and going “huh? Huh? Huh?”. Anyways as he left he tripped a 5 year old and stole a whole box of Snickers. Great guy though
omg thank you for finally confirming for me that that was JCP on Chicago Is so Two Years Ago... I've thought it was him for forever but never got around to googling it lmao
I swear every time I learn something new about fall out boy history I can’t help but smile 🥲 their entire story is truly so great thank you for these videos! but please know I will be needing one for every album era of fall out boy
I saw you uploaded this last night as I was going to bed and promised myself I would wait until morning to watch it so I could fully appreciate it. Seriously felt like Christmas Eve
Watching this video on the one year anniversary of seeing Fall Out Boy at Hella Mega, it’s insane how something so one off created an entire movement. Awesome video dude!
I love this channel!! Makes me miss the old days of ap magazine and warped tour and running a record store in my early days of playing in bands and touring. Man ! Keep em comming!
I have such a HUGE connection to this album. It came out my sophomore year of high school and got to see them twice during that tour (so glad they did a warped tour show AND a dc show ❤). Thank you for deep diving on this album. It really is one of my happy albums. I literally can’t listen to it in a bad mood. I just always love it 😍
I wanted to thank you for your great work. This is absolutely my favourite series on your channel and FOB is my all time favourite band. You brought back wonderful memories and I will definitely listen to TTTYG today :) Keep up the good work!
21:40 i thought patrick had still been writing most lyrics until futct?… at least that’s what other people had told me. i’m really curious about this now, for scientific reasons!
i think that when they started writing TTTYG pat and pete were still collaborating on lyrics, but like halfway through the process pete just took over. as far as i know by Cork Tree it was all Pete lyrically... i think! dont quote me on that! haha
If you want to try and find it, I’d try searching “fallout boy metro chicago” or “fallout boy metro 2003” or variations. So this isn’t the exact one, but it’s kinda close. ua-cam.com/video/Zwl4UBQVWS8/v-deo.html
9:52 you're wrong about the 3 demos. Patrick himself said they were “Dead on Arrival,” “Homesick at Spacecamp,” and “Saturday,". Just Google the phrase " "when in walked Andy" Patrick Stump " and you'll see the blogpost Patrick wrote for the 10th anniversary.
In my opinion, as well as in the grand scheme of things my opinion doesn’t matter. Fall Out Boy album after album delivered such tight and great and catchy and sensational songs. Honestly even if I’m not super into the new era of them; I still wish them well. They are such a good listen, especially if you grew up during that time. That shit catchy af. My Chemical Romance will always be top dog though. With an honorable mention to Taking Back Sunday for “Tell All Your Friends.” As well as a little participation ribbon for Mayday Parade with “A Lesson in Romantics”
Okay that gets a sub from me man. Thanks for taking me back to my childhood. A life before I was worried about my looks or my shtty high school metal band. Before I was hooked on drhugs and ackaholllll. Shit i still had my V card when I got ahold of this album. The world was still pretty cool when I used to listen to this album alone in my room on those long hot summer nights.
The "Evening Out" slander must stop! End to end bangers fill that album, as if the last two quarters of TTTYG weren't largely filler, saved only by a TBS riff-rip... Pshah!
For those who may not already know, Evening Out With Your Girlfriend is finally on Spotify. I just found it and have been waiting for this moment for 10 plus years since I lost my iPod that had the album downloaded. Okay that's all, keep on keeping on! 🥹 Cozy Rep. you are the best!
I honestly like the first picture they wanted to use for the album more than the iconic one we know today, I feel like it perfectly captures the feel of the record. Too bad for copyright I guess 🫤
