What an incredible battle! Great teamwork by everyone on that boat to finally land the fish of a lifetime! Thanks again for taking us with your family to enjoy this adventure !
so lucky, that fish should have broken off like 10 times during that fight. Next time keep the motor on and have someone use the motor to keep the fish in one corner.
I read big eye Tuna numbers are coming back hit all time low numbers in 2004 according to the internet after restricting longline fleets to catch quotas numbers have improved above target levels. Great for sport fishing makes me want to go back to California for some fishing.
Congratulations. We were out there with you. We heard you on the radio. My friends boat is the same as yours, except for his is not enclosed. we came home with 53 albacore. Fun day.
Wow what a battle! Great job and congrats on the hog! Was out there the day before and picked one up. Tight Lines and maybe I’ll see you out there one day. 🤙🏼
Epic job landing that fish on super under gunned gear. Been there, done that. Never again, but its a hell of a story! I'm not fishing tuna up here with anything less than 60# gear and rail rods anymore.
If you watch the video again you'll see that they're Albacore fishing, Not Big Eye tuna fishing, You can see the skirt climb up the line next to the boat
Wow! What a Cluster, can’t believe he stayed on going around the motor and slack line many times. Congrats thou but not sure why your guys gaffer 7-10lb Albies, just swing em on board
Cannot believe you landed that fish you did everything wrong you could possibly do. Next time keep the boat in gear. Use that motor to your advantage. Nice fish I’m jealous.
No, "allison tuna" is an old fashioned and rarely used synonym for yellowfin tuna, particularly the large ones from the tropics that get extra long sickles, which are also called "allison fins"
Your miss informed an Allison tuna was called a bigeye because of there large eyes and there ability to destroy commercial fishing gear yellowing tuna have never had a nickname
Uhhh no... Bigeye tuna (thunnus obesus) is its own separate family of tuna. The term term "Allison" is used to describe yellowfin with large sickle fins, all of which are generally very large yellowfin. When one refers to an Allison they are referring to a large yellowfin, not a bigeye my friend. @@brianhanel6897
Using the boat to keep the fish where you want helps a lot. Put the but of the rod in your hip, not your armpit. Better leverage. This was kind of painfull to watch.
Good job guys, teamwork pays off😅 then you guys had a great day bunch of albacore and finished top it off with a blue fan great video thanks😅
Beautiful Butterball great job

Fish started getting bigger👍🎣

the most unorthodox fish fighting I have ever seen. was that a level wind reel?
Yep and keep rod in rod holder use the boat as leverage. Only thing thst counts is landing it how it was fought
@@SuperSlappy25 they sound Orthodox to me
That was AWESOME. AMEN
Congratulations on a great catch! Great work by the crew and all the helping hands processing that monster!

From North Carolina ..... Amazing guys !!!!

Congrats on your PB.
Great job, congrats on the catch of a lifetime. Keep it up.
WOW!! Outstanding. If your boat ever needed a tall rail, it’s now.
Great job guys !
That's a beast
That's not something you see every day. Congratulations on the complete teamwork! Memories to last a lifetime!
Wow, what a catch 🐟 good job capturing video underwater👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Great catch!!!
6:25 min in "Think we should keep it in gear"..... BINGO. Use the boat to control the angle of the line. Nice fish!
We know now👍
What a fish. Congrats.

Thank you!
That's a nice one the biggest I've caught was 90 lbs

Awesome bigeye. We have big ones to here in Hawaii.....
Way to GO!!!!!
Nice catch. Fish of a life time. 👍
Wooow, .nice job, guys.
How far did you go to catch that fish
Roughly 50 miles
Awesome achievement!
Like wicked tuna
Man where did you get those rail mount rod holders ? Those are awesome !!!
They are actually custom fabricated by my uncle. If you want, drop me an email and i can send you some closer pics of them.
I was today years old when I learned there was a Ft Bragg in California also, as I grew up near Ft Bragg NC
Nice job but wondering why everyone up north gaffs their fish backwards
Spot on!👊🏻🇺🇸👊🏻
How many time did someone yell “drive the effing boat!!!” When watching this ?
Great job guys. ❤
Epic! Impressive catch seemed under gunned on that rod.
If you watch the video again you'll see that they're Albacore fishing, Not Big Eye tuna fishing, You can see the skirt climb up the line next to the boat
@@jaycarmichael435 I know exactly what they were doing and that’s why it is impressive they landed that beast on Albacore gear.
Nice fish
вспомнил так же на БЧК БУБЫРЕЙ ТАСКАЛИ!
Nice fish, we lost two last Friday. What’d the big eye eat?
Wow! What a Cluster, can’t believe he stayed on going around the motor and slack line many times. Congrats thou but not sure why your guys gaffer 7-10lb Albies, just swing em on board
Wonderful to see a big eyes tuna..however gentlemen you need to position the gaff the other way around and not like you throwing a harpoon.
That’s a badass boat! Hewescraft? Kingfisher?
Hewes
@@zfishing8668 love it. Thanks for the content

Only makes the video that much more exciting to watch😅
lots of fish have been lost with the boat in gear also
Can you share what the water temp was where you hooked up on your Bigeye?
Around 63
Come on man. U nknon how to hold d fishingpoll. Oh mam.
It's real name is Allison tuna as you are finding out now they fight like hell the golden tuna and big eye are nick names
Thanks for that

Ну это монстр какой-то ))) хотя для тунца самый прям нормальный размер ) И да, снасти нужны для таких рыб другие...
Мы вопше не на такой размер туну лавили- ето нам попалась последная 😁
Outstanding!

If you get a next time ...keep your motor in gear and put the boat into a loose circle ...
bbq 🎣🎃✌️😎
ahhh Bulgarian/Russian crew fishing off Humboldt coast bwahhhhhhh
edit it...🎃🎣
Just think, the fight on that one fish alone was 2.5 hours so the video was already edited quite a bit.
Put the rod under your other side. 🤦🏻♂️
Cabin boats where you can’t walk around to follow the fish are lame.
Lol.
waking up very early for fishing is easy to do
SO LUCKY , THAT FISH SHOULD HAVE BEEN GONE ALONG TIME AGO. CAPTAIN TIM
