I was severely traumatized years ago as a teenage, got diagnosed with cptsd. Spent my whole life fighting cptsd. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. It helps it when you’re depressed. But when you’re taking it “recreationally” it has the downer effects. Just like radiation causes cancer but also helps to cure it. Realistically, relying on anything to boost your mood/mind is a terrible idea. Unless you have been in and out of psych wards, leave the meds alone and try building healthy coping skills.

well done,you are stronger than me,im struggling with methadone,zopiclone,valium and xanax,ive experienced CT,siezures,psychosis,insomina and all the other deeply unpleasant symptoms,its sounds like an exaggeration but the withdrawal is real and horrific. I was on 4 mg a day for a year and a half. I stopped cold turkey because the pills were working against me and caused me to be in psychosis. The unethical doctor that prescribed it didn't warn me of any side effects or dangers of stopping. I was in delerium tremons...had seizures. I could've died and I detoxed in my apartment completely alone. Three and a half months clean but still dealing with derealization and depersonalization episodes. I'm actually having one right now but I'm aware of when I'm having one. I go on cold walks and listen to music to stay calm until it passes. Benzo withdrawal truly is a spiritual attack. Prayers and comfort for everything going through this. Xanax is evil and the doctor that prescribed it to me is in alot of trouble.

I was on Xanax for years and wanted off & I can tell you all that it was so difficult not because of the high feeling was no longer there but because my head was cloudy, lethargic, just didn’t feel normal for over a month I wasn’t mentally normal to say the least. I was put on Xanax for severe anxiety and when I felt I wasn’t longer anxious I asked my doc to get me off of them so he slowly tapered me off but it was certainly a fight I wasn’t prepared for and I consider it as being harder to come off than Heroin. But if you are trying to get off Xanax I know first hand it is possible and you can do it one day at a time, and believe me I feel way better now that I’m sober and free of the grips it had on me and my life !

Same here bro, I have an appointment tomorro. hopefully i can get a prescription. I dont have an addictive personality and have taken xanax before along time ago. Stopped no problem but now I am doing the foot work. Cognitive therapy, meditation, and I have improved about 50-75. But legit the amount of childhood trauma Ive experienced predisposes me to Extremeanxiety. Not a sob story but the truth. Im not looking to numb the pain. I just need something to help ease the anxiety as I navigate through me demons.
In a pinch one benedryl will take the edge off the anxiety and can even prevent an anxiety attack from escalating. Avoid all caffeine; it’s SO awful for us sensitive types. Chill music of your choice helps distract the brain if it’s not too overstimulated yet, but you know you’re getting uncomfortable. Prayer can help ALOT. Crying and a nap brings cortisol down to reboot the mind and both are proven effective.
To summarise the feeling of Xanax in the best way imo: The rushing feeling of relaxation when sitting down after 20 hours of straight exercise.

You should not irrational use xanax and other benzos indeed. In right dosage and some 5 minute research, lots of the risks can be excluded. Not all drugs are bad and they can be beneficial. Way more beneficial than legal substances like alcohol and tobacco...

Was popping xans for 2 weeks everyday. Fixed a lot of things i was afraid of doing due to anxiety and never forgot anything. Xans were from the street and now i'm prescribed clonazepam and i feel like it does absolutely nothing from the first days of use. Also after those 2 weeks of xans i was in the same good state of mind for a whole month.

i started taking xans when i was 17 its is evil , but while binging i literally got my first job, my first girlfriend met multple good friends at parties that i still talk to today. its a great drug besides the black outs and memory lost. i used to sell weed and wake up the next day not even knowing were all these piles of cash came from, same thing with working my job. just depends on your character. its like being drunk without the slopy feeling or dehydration. when i take them nowadays they do nothing as i done really have day to day anxiety anymore ohyea i crashed both my cars and went to jail a few times off them but nothing too serious

I took a Xanax once. My best friend gave me one for the final test in HS since I was stressing really hard. It was the one & only time she shared her medicine & it was one & only time I'd take Xanax. It made me feel weird as if I were dreaming. I fell asleep as soon as I got home, I slept for fifteen hours & I remembered nothing the next day.

I've been taking Xanax for 23 years. Been off now for 9 months. However, my doc who's never taken a single Xanax pill himself knows everything about Xanax, so he is very doubtful that my physical reactions are protracted withdrawal and/or long term side effects. Severe head and neck tremors, extreme muscle tension, body zaps, jumpiness, throat getting narrow, jaw tension, teeth grinding, gasping for air, lip tremors, heart palpitations, feeling of getting electrocuted, fear of everything and anything etc.

Look up the Ashton tapering method. You should have been given Valium to taper off the Xanax (also note it takes a hell of a lot more Valium to get the equivalent dose of Xanax). At a minimum you should be on anticonvulsants. It can be deadly to stop benzos if not done properly.
Benzos are not meant to be taken long term. If you do then you need to be extra careful to only use when needed and at a minimum dose and take regular breaks from it.
@@_droid I have read the Ashton report, she's probably the only doc that acknowledges protracted withdrawal, the rest of the pack supports big pharma and believes there's basically no withdrawal issues past 4 weeks. I tapered off over a year prior to stopping by the way. I administered micro doses and I never took big doses in the first place, but I took small doses over a very long period of time as mentioned. 23 years is not peanuts. It's been 10 months since I wrote my post. I've been off benzo's for one and a half years. I still have all the physical things explained in that post, some of it even worse. I've developed a nasty coordination issue to go with the head tremors and extreme muscle tension.

It is. Go to TDC vid on alprazolam. In this video he doesn't even say alprazolam won't cause OD death if used solely so theres something up with that 300 overdose death figure. other drugs must have been involved or includes aspiration but this is nowhere near as common with alcohol or opioids which produces way more vomiting.

Xanax feels amazing when you’re on it use to pop 5 bars at the bare minimum every single day eventually going to 10 and countless times of me blacking out and forgetting everything on it and a handful of hospital trips waking up in the ICU still out of it because I overdosed no other drug has made me feel so calm and relaxed and chill, and that is why that drug is the devil I’m glad I got sober off them and I’ve relapsed a couple of times really trying to stop but I took 5 grams of mushrooms and I had a really intense trip the next day it made me feel like I didn’t need it again ever completely rewired my brain I felt like a new person it’s been 8 months since I last took a xan and I will never go back again ever I have zero urge and will to ever do them again.

I took one and slept for 16 hours, then took another and slept for 8 hours. At this point I was beyond depressed and suicidal, and took the rest of them. I woke up in the ER and then fell back asleep. I then woke up in the psych unit and couldn't remember the last 4 days, even though I was awake. I then had sleep paralysis and demons one morning.

Because of stress and intense heart palpitations in the thousands a day,my doctor put me on 3 1mg pills each day (as directed). That was 30 years ago. A year ago he says he’s taking me off xanax because he’s retiring and the next dr won’t let me have them. I’m being weaned off,and let me tell you it’s no picnic. My emotions are all over the place,not eating or sleeping much. I can only imagine what it would be like to have to just stop. Anybody else out there been on them this long? I’m stuck on an 1/8th of a 2 mg.I weened from 2 2 mgs a day for 15 years, because my doctor died and my primary care will not write it because I smoke pot in a legal state. I hate how I feel after 2 days without I just can’t I need a doc to help me ween to a lower benzo or something

Nah don't become dependent on them xanax is so fucked. Take shrooms or ssri's if you have to for anxiety. Microdosing shrooms saved me. Iv been addicted to oxycodone before and xanax was much, much worse to come off. You'll look back at the years as a black out. Iv known people who took xanax for 10 years, they changed. And when they stopped they never really went back to normal. I have no clue why this drug is still allowed to be prescribed for generalised anxiety, baffles me. It's only appropriate for panic attacks. It only brings more pain. You'll find out one day. That's my warning

Was on Xanax for yrs plus Speed. Would totally lose days. Wasn't aware I was doing stupid things. Had to go to rehab to get off the Xanax. Was put on Valium instead since 2006. Still taking the Valium as my doctors and psychiatrists say I can't come off it.
But happy to say I kicked the 27yr Speed addiction, this is my 4th yr clean, without backsliding.

it ain’t hard to quit, it’s hard to get use to being sober. Once you withdrawl completely your mindset is way different. You legit cannot change an addicts mind unless they have been clean off the drugs. And once you’re clean you come to the realization that you don’t need them as much as you want to pop them. Train for sobriety, and once you can handle the job of being sober. You can have days off. Dont treat this as a dependency if you aren’t legit prescribed them. 🙏🏽 God bless all. It's important to know a few things:
1. Benzodiazepines on their own are extremely unlikely(practically impossible really) to cause an overdose, you would need a dose hundreds of times larger than the active dose in order to overdose.
2. Hallucinations and suicidal thoughts shouldn't be categorized in the same group as loss of coordination. Loss of coordination is practically certain when using a recreational dose, whereas hallucinations and suicidal thoughts are paradoxical effects. Meaning they are not a typical reaction to the drug and are the opposite of what is expected (in this case, we would expect alleviation from anxiety and suicidal thoughts for example).

The doctor that prescribed it to me 4 years ago and I refused to take it and I refused to just get tranquillised without understanding why my body reacted the way it did, has just died a couple of months ago and I haven't taken one pill of it and still have the pack to remind me of my journey to understanding without tranquillisers.

Back in the 90's, being a stressed out newly single mother, my MD put me on Xanax and Dexedrine. Yeah, after two days I stopped the Judy Garland medication regiment. Didn't know whether I was coming or going, thanks to the Xanax, I didn't care either.
i used to pop xans on a weekly basis but cut me off as soon as school started back up. it alll depends on the person and their addictive personality. While on the drug i would be feeling really happy and social. Some people want to keep popping it because they feel like they can’t be “themselves” while not on Xanax which leads to addiction and dependence like the video said.
Weekly is nothing compared to daily or numerous a day tho, you definitely did not have the same struggles they’d have when coming off.

On 5/7/21 I had a massive withdrawal seizure in the hospital after quitting Xanax cold turkey. My heart and breathing stopped. Thank God I was at the hospital and they brought me back. Xanax is FUCKIN DANGEROUS. Be careful people.

@@Bc232klm Mmmmmmm They aren't FULLY Controlling my seizures, but something is better than nothing? And I have regular appointments with my neurologist. So, we're working towards something that works for me! There are some people with Epilepsy that never find a medication that works. I was controlled for a while, but my seizures always seem to come back. Its unfortunate. I try to stay positive, Stress tends to trigger with me.
Xanax has been a lifesaver for me. But it is also a danger, and I can see why addiction is such a problem.

I used to have Xanax as a rescue drug for panic attacks, but I had to switch to Klonopin because the Xanax made me cry every time I used it.
I've been off Benzos for over two years now. By far the hardest thing I've ever been through was kicking Xanax.
Were you on a high dose? And for how long? I am quite strong willed, but couldn't kick clonazepam away. Just diminish it. The withdrawal was everlasting and absolutely required kinda of a second life to it - like, or i work and live, or either i detox. Any suggestion aside the "Ashton eternal detox" is welcome.

I have crippling anxiety so my doctor gave me a Xanax prescription to help with the times when my normal anxiety pills don’t work and the panic times were a tad to much. But when I went to the pharmacy to get it it was so crazy getting carded and asked all these questions, which made my anxiety about it even worse. Then hearing things like the overdose deaths and stuff increased that anxiety even more. But recently when my doctor talked to me they were like “yeah you’re in good company, most people who need it for anxiety feel anxious about that.” The poetic irony. So TLDR if you are like me in the horrid anxiety boat and your doctor gives you a prescription, no need for more excessive anxiety about it. It will be fine, it’s there for those really bad days.

If I recall correctly, it's because there a law in the us that says you have to say every side effect that was reported by the testing period, so if only one person in a group of 2000 has a side effect of suicidal thoughts or loss of balance they have to say it
james edwards I just don’t get why they can advertise meds _at all._ In Ireland (and I’m guessing most other countries) we go to the dr who (if you even need it) explains the medication to you, explains the side effects and if you choose to go with that medicine then the chemist will get again go through all of the side effects with you and if somehow none of that has taken place and you get home with your meds you can read the leaflet inside the box. I’m on (and have been on) a whole bunch of different meds and I’ve never once had any issue with knowing what exactly it was that I was taking and what I was doing to my body.
I feel like I’m America the problem is that the drug industry has way too much sway over the government and pushes their often unnecessary drugs on citizens just casually watching TV.

If you are taking it like I was where I just wanted to “feel normal” be able to “hold conversations” and you think you can’t do that without taking xanax it’s bullshit!! Another problem when taking these pills : you don't know if YOU're getting better, or your improvement is just dependant on those pills. So you never know when/if you'll be able to decrease and then stop taking them.
Like removing the small wheels on a kid's bike... except instead of the kid scratching his knee and trying again, it's an adult possibly falling back into anxiety/ depression/ suicidal thoughts. Not much room for trial and error there.

(boss) alcohol is just as deadly as other hard drugs, in high doses it can be deadly in low doses your mostly fine in moderation , the same can be true for opioids and strong stimulants but low doses and moderation must be maintained and even then I don't recommend even trying for recreational purposes and that includes alcohol. Marijuana and psychedelics are far more forgiving substances but get a bad rap for no good reason, but because the elite have trouble regulating them and can sometimes(not everyone who tries) snap a person out of a consumer mindstate and promote independent thought
