- I finally made it to Koch’s with Namman. I’ve been wanting to explore this comic warehouse for decades!
I show a brief look inside and at the end you will see all the comic goodness I picked up.
This place is massive with comics from floor to ceiling. If your ever in the area on a weekend it is an experience you will never forget.

I hit the Koch Warehouse HARD through mail order circa 1988-1991, via their pages-long offerings in the Comic Buyers Guide. Their wholesale prices were astonishing and I credit them for MANY of my most-memorable back issue hauls.....and that's saying A LOT. Great video....!! 😃
I remember those ads and catalogs John. Like you I’m sure I ordered a few fabulous comics from him. Hopefully, I’ll be able to go back in a month or so. Great to hear from you Dr.👊
Hi Roger, thank you and Namman for the fun trip to Koch's. The first Place I ever bought mail order comics from was Grand Book Inc then I switched to Lone Star Comics.
You got it buddy. I don’t remember Grand but I did order from several ads back in the day including Robert Bell and Gary Dolgoff. If we only knew back then what we know now.😁

It was very difficult not to take a whole box of comics. The wife would be on me though so I got very picky. The experience alone was worth the trip though. When your in the area we can try to go if your game. 😁

Nice eclectic haul Roger - I used to go to the Koch warehouse all the time when I lived in Brooklyn - still one of the more popular vids on my channel. Been a few years since I’ve been though but I’d always come out of there with an assortment of stuff I wasn’t expecting haha. Thanks for sharing and glad to see you enjoying the northeast comic adventures to be had up here!

I don't blame Namman! I wouldn't want to leave either! Wow! Might not seem like an aesthetically beautiful place to some, but it's definitely a beautiful place to me! Glad you finally got to go there, Roger!
I didn’t want to go either but we had obligations to take care of. Yes, it is not much to look at but when you get inside the boxes it was a gorgeous experience.😁

Those Haunted Love comics are getting so tough to find. I’m only missing a few now but it has taken years to get them.
That’s right about Captain Canuck… still trying to complete those. They seem easier to find up here.

You would love it Carson. There is so much I was overwhelmed but on my next trip I’ll be more ready. You can fill in almost any SA or later run if your not picky about condition.😁

It’s an actual warehouse of comics… I would be overwhelmed walking into that 😆 anyways it was cool to see some footage of you and namman out and about take care and hope the family stays blessed 🙏🏽
I was overwhelmed Jacob. For about the first 10 minutes I was in a Fugue state!😁 It really is quite the experience. I’m glad Namman was there to keep me focused somewhat. See you Tuesday buddy.👊
That is such an awesome place 😍 The comic shop I went to as a kid was much smaller, but it had the same feel to it- boxes of comics stacked everywhere ❤️ So cool to see you guys together having fun. Take care Roger - looking forward to more warehouse adventures 🫡
You know I went to a shop in my youth with a similar vibe too but much much smaller. The old bags and worn boxes just take me back. I’m sure there will be more trips out there soon. Thanks buddy.👊
Wow what a warehouse. Can't believe that Mystic book was there. Love that cover. I've been after some of those UK Uncanny Tales since some reprint Tales to Astonish books. I saw in another video you were in Jersey City. That brings me back to my childhood. My father and Uncle lived in Jersey City back in the late 80's to mid 90's

That seems like a fun trip. Next time you may have to put NammaN in a sleeper hold to get him out of there. He knows good pickings when he sees them.

I loved your video and picks. I live halfway across the country and have never visited the Koch warehouse, however I've bought a lot of comics from their eBay store.
Many thanks Gary. I recently moved to the area so this was a place I had to explore. Mr. Koch has been selling comics for over 50 years so many of us have a few in our collections. 😁

Oh yes indeed Richard. Mr. Koch cut is some major deals but the temptation is mighty. I’ll be back every month or so with my monthly comic allowance of 50 bucks or so. Great to hear from you amigo.👊

I think Koch advertised in Alan Light's The Buyer's Guide (later the Comic Buyer's Guide edited by Don and Maggie Thompson.) Heck, I might have bought something through mail order from them for all I know. Did not know they were still around?
Yes, I remember those ads. I’m sure I bought some comics from them in the late 80’s or early 90’s. Mr. Koch is still going strong btw. Thanks Dave.👍

Haha…. Leaving Koch’s was more painful for sure. I’m somewhat used to bundling up by now so no big deal. I hope you can visit so we can go down to Koch’s. It will be worth the trip. God bless cous!🙏🏻

Well yes the dollar bins are the lowest. Everything is at least 20% off though so 80 cents. I left a link to the Koch website in the description.
I think it is open only on weekends from 12-7 but call ahead to be sure.
I get the prices are fantastic, however... What kind of conditions are we looking at??
They run the gamut as far as condition goes. I’m not a condition collector so as long as complete I’m happy. I’d say generally most of the comics I saw were not high grade but I didn’t go through most of the aisles. I did see a few marked vf/nm however.
