Definitely get a dash cam, I recommend the Anker Roav which I have two of them in my car, one in the front and the second one in the rear. By far the best investment especially being a car owner.
Does it record even when the car is parked up? I’m looking in to this... I want one which will stay on even when the car is parked up because this has also happened to me, sadly, more than once
The last time it happened lucky my neighbour was outside and caught the guy in the act and knocked on my door, which I was really thankful for
oo123ist it won’t be on all the time as this would drain your battery. Assuming it’s on some kind of shock sensor that would trigger the camera?

The dash cam I have (Anker Roav) has a built-in battery so yes it can record when parked, at night etc. There is a sensor in the dash cam so if there is vibration or movement, for example, if I car knocks into your car it'll start recording. I highly recommend buying a dash cam as it'll help a lot if someone knocks into your car.

Keep in mind in the contract for the parking it says workers are allowed to "move" cars if needed i left my focus rs for 15 days and found it with 56 more kilometers on the count..

Similar thing happened to my M3 E92 a few years ago, I feel your pain! If you park on the side of the road and have a car that stands out and its the only one with a mark you do wonder if it was deliberately done. Check the paint colour thats left in the scratch and see if anyone that parks near you has the same colour...

Sorry to see that paul. Yeah that's the worst feeling when something like that happens to the car you love. For me it was a key scratch from the rear lights all the way down the side to mid drivers door on my 2004 EP3 Type R. 14 year old classic which was almost mint before that. Glad to see your looking to get more into the JDM scene Paul 👍

I feel your pain. This happened to me last week while my car was parked in my work car park! The damage on my car is a lot worse too. To top it off they didn’t even leave a note!
Hey Man Thanks for talking about so many different types of cars. I'm a big car and bike guy also here in the states. When are you going to talk about one off cars? Hot rods, Street rods, Rat rods, maybe a comparison with a race similar to the grand tour or top gear but more about the price comparison. Speed and horsepower for your buck type thing.
Same happened to my C-Coupe after just a few months of owning her. Left her at the airport whilst away for a weekend and came back to basically half a rear bumper😩 Never got any answers from the parking company and still trying to chase the repair costs. It's so painful when you first notice, my heart sank!

Oh man, I’ve been there. I used to keep a mustang inside for the winter, I came down to the garage one spring to get ready for warm weather and found my fender in the same shape
Sorry to hear that :( - I know that feeling unfortunately. When I bought new car 1,5 year ago after a month I got a scratch on passenger doors :( - apparently someone opened his doors on the parking loot and simply knocked my car :(.
I know how you feel, I remember when I noticed a key dent scratch on my wrapped Mercedes. Absolutely pissed!!!

Same thing happened to me at manc airport, all they said to me was the cameras are for monitoring purposes only and do not record and that you park there at your own risk so the don’t take any responsibility for what happens to to your car.
Lesson learnt always pay extra for parking at the airport choosing the meet & great option as it’s the airport staff who park your car up for you and other cars therefore they are responsible for what happens to the car.

I know the pain, Happened to me couple of months back. Some one broke my number plate and now there's a hole in the bumper thankfully its covered by the replacement number plate. Although car is not as expensive as SOLs

I can’t get my head around this whole wrapping business I’m old school I suppose and used to items being painted,I mean what happens if a wrapped vehicle gets damaged like your amg did??do they patch up wrap or is it a whole re-do??

That's heart breaking sending you a big hug, I know the feeling far to well. This is the reason I want to Sell my Porsche and M5 as I don't feel I can leave them anywhere, I parked my M5 in a car park 5 times last year and 5 times it had a new door ding and scratch. Makes me want to sell them all.. I use a discovery 3 as a daily now as it has a strip of plastic down the door and they're designed to be hit offroad (no paint on the corner bumpers). Hopefully you'll get it sorted x.
