- After some serious abuse in the winter's mud and water, it was time to see the toll our exuberance had taken.
Result: not much. End bearings on axle 1 were about done but still functional, and one of the bearings inside the steering hubs was crunching. So both axles got some new ones installed to see it through the summer, but the diffs were spotless.
Gearbox will be greased when the motor swap happens (HH Revolver will be going in) and the back axles sound as sweet now as the day it was built so won't be messed with.
Really nice. Crossrc did a good job on those axles I am glad I have them too now.
Fantastic cleaning and maintenance job! All machanical units of this machine are like as really 1/1 scale. Thanks for sharing.

@@antrc 👍🤙
nice MC8c
1st lol looking good mate as always 👍👍👍
🍻
I use WD40 on the hubs before a wet run and it helps a little to stop the bearings rusting.
I do spray afterwards but concentrate more on remembering my tx before the run. I have a track record......
I have forgot the transmitter once. But now test the truck and pack just before going.
@@BasBoyRC i then leave the tx where i tested it, pack the rest in the car and drive off.
@@antrc :-)
Andrew and his TX. He he. How many times we have had to drive back to get it 😍
How are you liking those tires on your rig ?
Hey Anthony. They are great once a lot firmer foams are put in. That said I have taken them off for another set of Ebay clones which look more military as they're more block treads. Recommended the swamper clones defo, but makes sure they're around the same size as stock circa 105mm
So there is no differential?
Yes there is a differential in each axle but they are all locked so both wheels turn at same speed at all times.
